I can not recommend the Inn management..but the Inn is in a great spot..ocean view and walking distance to all the local restaurants and sites

The website paints a different picture from what it is now from the previous owners.. but for a couple of days..it would work.

Not what it Was

We booked the Auberge as part of a fall foliage weekend and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.  The innkeepers were a huge part of helping to make things go smoothly.  They were friendly without being intrusive, and made sure to check in with us to see how things were going.  They were also able to dig out a phone charger to loan us at 6:30 am when we discovered we had forgotten ours.  It appears as there is definitely new management on board.  The location is perfect, situated right on the edge of downtown but not actually in the thick of things where I imagine it must be quite noisy.

Wonderful overall experience

We were looking for somewhere to stay to explore Plymouth and Cape Cod and weren't at all disappointed with the Auberge Gladstone.

We stayed in the Loft which has it's own private entrance. It's a sort of studio apartment really - large bedroom with a comfy bed, big TV and sofa, huge bathroom with a free standing bath and big shower with proper pressure. There's also tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and a microwave. The wifi was fast and the air con worked well. 

It's a little dated yes, but spotlessly clean and really quite lovely. As someone who normally likes things very modern I loved it. It fits in with the rest of the 'feel' in Plymouth.

Lots of parking and only a 3 minute walk from the waterfront, Main Street and lots of restaurants.

Armen was great - friendly and helpful upon arrival and gave us his mobile in case of problems (there weren't any). 

One point - the ceilings in the loft are sloped and it's probably not ideal for someone over 6ft.

Can't recommend this place enough.

Loved it

Arrived in June, having booked the Gladstone suite 11 months before, to be put upstairs in The Loft with no explanation by someone who didn't speak English.  His son, the Manager, arrived later but in the meantime we were unable even to make a cup of tea as only one cup was available and no spoons.  The room was scruffy and jam-packed with old furniture stacked one on top of the other.  During our three night stay we saw no-one and our room wasn't cleaned or bins emptied.  The services advertised on the website were not available.  On a positive note the Manager agreed a reduction in rates.  The Inn is very well situated in a quiet but central location.

Disappointing - this Inn has obviously changed hands!

We spent three nights in September in the Gladstone Suite on second floor.  Upon arrival, the manager answered the door, gave us the key, and told us he was on the telephone-would speak with us later when he brought up the towels which were in the dryer.  He delivered the towels to the door, left, and that was the last time we saw him.  It was not the "welcome" feeling I have gotten in other guest houses or bed and breakfast homes.  The room was acceptable and looked a lot like the pictures on Internet site.  It was small, yet comfortable, however was quite dusty and I felt could have been "crisper"  looking.   The bathroom was the best feature;  it is quite large and had a lovely shower.  The inn is in a great location to all attractions, so with the exception of going to Plimoth Village, we walked everywhere.  This was a real plus and one I usually look for when booking a room.  We enjoyed going to various restaurants for our meals and there were plenty from which to choose.  
We did have a very enjoyable stay in Plymouth, however, I am not sure  I would return to this guest house.  We also did see the envelope for tips.  Since there is not a maid service and once checked in we were on our own, I did not deem it necessary to leave a tip.

Dirty, dirty, dirty... the entrance staircase in carpets, which years ago was supposed to be cream colored, now it's a collection of years old stains. Falling, with the railing in the inner staircase of the loft swinging and if you lean on it you go down. And this is the real half railing, the other half railing is actually fake and made of two plastic zerbins that reproduce the carpeted iron drawings... (but they're zerbins!!!) held together with the iron thread. The bathroom door closes slippery and remains in the staircase. So reopening it is always a bet. if the mistake of moving any dirty shower by an inch... the dirty dust of the old bathroom window is impossible to remove from the old bathroom window as long as it falls off... (but they're zerbins!!!) whoever uses the toilet seat does not know how to use a microwave, but if they do not use a microwave, they're not going to die, and if they're not using a microwave, they're not going to get

Stay away from me.

The Gladstone Inn is not a Bed & Breakfast in the classic sense: breakfast is not served - which is not tragic either, on the one hand this was clear at the beginning and on the other hand there is the Blue Blinds Bakery in Plymouth - the absolute highlight for me in Plymouth! I also failed to see the owners, which is also very unusual for a B&B. The suite was clean, very woven and furnished to the fullest extent possible, however, the nights in September are often very cool already - in the absence of a ceiling and oven we were very frozen. And there would have been very helpful to the owners of frozen property.

In the midst of so many repainted and well-arranged cottages, we arrived at this B&B with a little bit of distrust: the outside is not very well maintained and at first glance the feeling of abandonment. Even when we arrived there was no one, not even the owners, unattainable on the phone; we waited 40 minutes and the girl who runs (so we believe) the Auberge arrived. She was very kind and provided us with a lot of instructions and maps and maps and maps of the city and surroundings. At our request she allowed us to use a computer with a fast internet connection. Unfortunately, she had promised us to change the cookies once a day, instead of every three days, but so it was not.
