It is fine for the money- nice spot in the lake, nice pool. Older hotel, not fancy but comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and met some other families.  Real fast was basic(donuts,waffles, fruit)

Worth it

Terrible Hotel.  Did not get the room we wanted and had a confirmation for.  Room was small, dirty, No Phone, TV didn't work. No Kleenex in the room. Dirty Floor,.
No Made service unless you ask for it but they don't tell you that. Bathroom so small you can't turn around in it.  Charger us 3.00 a day for a safe that did not work. Expensive $1.59 a night with lots of taxes. $ 378.00 for two nights but had no choice but to stay..
But NEVER AGAIN...... I rather stay home.

we loved the view and location of this hotel but the room and hotel itself was very old and dated the pool wasn't open the bedding and towels had stains on them the tv remote was missing the back however the breakfast selection was great the staff very friendly

Memorial Day Weekend

Where do I start? The motel is outdated. The beds are horrible and we barely slept for the two nights we stayed at Clinton Inn. The pillows are soft and horrible. The motel is very overpriced. I will never stay at this motel again. I travel to Port Clinton yearly so Clinton Inn just lost a customer. I would suggest updating the motel and adding comfortable beds so people can sleep. Please don't waste money staying here. Choose another motel in Port Clinton.

Don't waste your money!

This hotel has evidently changed names numerous times as it appears newer from the outside but the inside is very dated.  The check-in was easy and the receptionist friendly.  We had a room with 2 double beds at an extraordinarily high price (the only available room in town that was pet-friendly--pet fee $50!) which was large and had a small veranda that looked out over an adjacent hotel--no view.  The most remarkable things about this room were first; the carpeting was filthy and stained and had cigarette burns.  The bed was a plank.  There was partying going on below us until 3 a.m. so the management does not enforce a quiet time.  Two redeeming qualities:  the bathroom was spacious and obviously newly renovated with a tub and shower; the hotel is right on the lakeshore and there is a nice little gazebo next to the water.  Additionally, the breakfast was very lame.  No fruit, no yogurt, no juice--the machine produced water.  We would definitely not stay here again or recommend that anyone else do so.

Old property with some updates

When we pulled back our sheets to get in bed we noticed live bugs both on the sheet, under the mattress and in the blankets. A profane racist word was also written on the sheets and there were many hairs and crumbs in the bed. 

We asked the manager to have all of the bedding stripped and please provide us with clean bedding because clearly they did not change bedding in between guests. We left the room so they could do that. We came back up and pulled back the sheet. The same word, stains, and crumbs were still in it. They did not change the bedding at all. 

We went down to ask that we cancel our next nights stay and that we watch the staff remake the beds for that night. 

We were assured we would receive a refund for our next nights stay but that we had to officially cancel it the next day.

When I called the next day, the lady told me absolutely “no refund” and called us liars saying she has notes on what the staff did for us the night before. This place was filthy, they made us believe since we were checking out early, we wouldn’t pay for the second night due to the grossness of the room. They lied and we were not refunded for a room we didn’t sleep in. 

Do not stay here, they should be shut down. They absolutely do not employ any cleaning staff, it was the owners kids who came up and we paid $200 per night for this room.

Bed bugs, scammers, and filth!

700 for 2 nights.  The worst!  told we had a garden room.  What a joke!  The garden is not kept up, just full of weeds.  Outdoor deck was full of spider webs and dirty, the outside deck needed upkeep.
Room was not very clean.  I'll post pics to show.  The bed was halfway decent, but the room was in disrepair.  Only 3 bulbs in bathroom, but I found the other 2 in the dresser.  I think the Indian owner had them all removed.  Cost savings of course.
Hole in the ceiling, hair dryer didn't work, open sink no stopper.  
Obvious an uncaring and money hungry owner.  Please don't stay here.  I think the Fairfield down the street would have been a better choice.

Has potential but owners don't care.

Booked a "lake view"  room.  Well I guess that's a broad term here. 1st room didn't have it, although was a cool "apartment" 2 bedroom setup. Wanted what we paid for. They then gave us room "#2. Upon arrival of that room, the door was open, found cleaning supplies and unmade beds.... Nope. So, room number 3 had a room (again, a 2 bedroom apartment floor plan) with a window overlooking the water. But, spiders and a roach. So..... We got a refund. They were cool about the refund. Room number 2 had been smoked in and you could tell. This place hasn't been updated since maybe 1991? For $149 I expected more. Didn't get it, ended up at Tru by Hilton in sandusky. Staff was as nice as they could be, just this place needs a major overhaul and a good cleaning staff. 

Had potential.... 

Bed was just right,limited TV(dish-A lot of shopping,inspirational  channels).Not much of Continental breakfast due to COV 19 limitations. Great Price,clean room. Will stay here again if we come by this way

A Pleasantstay

Where do I start? Do not stay here! We booked online, showed up and went to our room which was infested with ants and BED BUGS! The front desk person was really nice, refunded us and we left without thankfully even bringing in our bags. A couple weeks later I look at my credit card statement and the charge and refund were on there but so was an extra $433 and $171 charge. I called to try and get it fixed and the general manager called me back. It escalated to her because it "seems like this has been going on for a while." I told her what happened and she said she wasn't going to refund my money because the exterminators who came on Monday (I booked for Thursday/Friday night) didn't see any evidence of bed bugs. We saw some People in the room right after we left who must have cleaned everything or been totally blind because there were carcases everywhere and we even saw a couple live ones on the pillow and comforter. Since they say they didn't find anything on Monday they just charged my account, never talked to me or anything. Now I have to dispute it with my credit card company. I was nice and pleasant until now. I should have ran out of there screaming that the place had bedbugs. I should have taken a video of the one I saw crawling on the pillow but I didn't because I thought it was resolved.  The only pic my husband got was a kind of blurry one of the larvae. The general manager said she couldn't stop me from writing a bad review and was not going to refund me ...not a good choice.
