We're staying with friends in this beautiful hotel. It's a very nice hotel. We enjoyed everything. The food is great. The hotel itself is clean, beautiful, the design is wonderful. The rooms are very clean, they clean every time. Everything is chic. The animators are good guys. They entertain people greatly. Thank you to all the staff.

Upon entering the room it had an unusual smell ... not sure if it was mold /mildew? 
*Did not see any water damage in the room itself *

After reading other reviews i decided to inspect the room closer i started by checking the mattress for any evidence of bed bugs which i did not see  anything and the sheets looked clean so i thought well... okay but then ....... 
We started seeing some dead bugs laying around on the floor and upon further inspection we realized they were dead cockroaches 

When checking the bathroom the underside of the toilet seat was still dirty from previous guests and we noticed little cockroaches crawling in the drain and knob of shower/ tub 
*also only 1 set of towels were in room upon check in*

We check out of that room and were given another room ... 2nd room same set up as 1st no dead or living bugs scurrying around until midnight when my husband saw a HUGE cockroach go into a crack in the wall next to AC unit 

If you are looking for basic cheap and close to South Padre Island then i guess this the spot for you - personally i don't mind basic,  cheap & some what clean but cockroaches are a Big No Go for me - we left

Get what you pay for

This place is amazing we had the jacuzzi room and loved it the bed was very comfortable and when we did take a shower the water was filling up but asked the front desk lady to help us and it was after ten pm and she got the maintenance man immediately and fixed it her name is Cecilia at the front desk she is such a sweetheart and so kind when I asked for towels she gave them to me without question all the reviews of the bad smell and bugs are bogus cause we didn’t experience that at all I’m so glad we chose this place we will for sure be coming back soon and I want to thank Cecilia for being so kind I really appreciate it it means a lot. ❤️❤️❤️

Great service and room

Very good for the price, we had only booked for one night but ended staying two nights. It had two beds and a kitchenette. The only thing I would say is if you get up by any noise at night I would recommend getting an upstairs room. We weren't really lucky on getting upstairs but we still had a good time. The only downside is the card deactivated by itself and we had to go to the office to activate again, and for some reason, we were missing two towels of our own. I don't know if they took them to wash but never got them back. The AC is okay, we had to put it @ 60s so it would cool enough.

Just a mini vacation

Laguna Vista on the Padre Islands is probably one of the most beautiful spots here in Texas.We actually wanted to check in here for two days at a resort, but at one weekend we probably had several ideas.After we closed down some hotels and couldn't find a price and performance,we arrived here.One tip:First you should always check the rooms under the bed and look briefly.Yes, we checked the room and what we liked very well, not carpet but float.We always find it advantageous, the carpets can get a lot of bacteria and dirt.And you sweep through and here.We never had a very neat room with a small kitchen, but we didn't even give it a nice breakfast, even if it's a very nice night.

For us, it was the ideal.

Very good room for the price. Lots of toiletries, good bed, Jacuzzi in the room! Decent size TV, microwave & fridge, Good AC. It supposed to have kitchenette, this room did not have, I didn't care. Only negative no ice!

After a long 12 hour drive, I arrived at hotel/motel at 11pm. Upon registering, found out my CC had already been charged the full 5 days. Parked, (which was far from my room, when I am handicapped) I didn't see any handicapped parking. Got my belongings down, walked into the room and the room had an awful stinch...mildew smell, dead roach at entrance n it was hot. Even after asking the front desk if the AC was on, he started yes, but it was not. I couldn't stay in the room. I called the front desk and asked for a refund. I drove up to the front desk and because I cancelled and asked for refund, he charged me 1 day ($141.14) when I wasn't even there 5 minutes. He asked why n I gave him my reasons. I was not happy with the room plus I asked for a double room and got a king bed. He did apologize but maybe to keep me happy he did offer another room and could've just charged my CC half of the ($141.14) but I didn't want to chance being disappointed a 2nd time. Be careful what you see on the Internet. Most images can be deceiving. I will never book at this hotel/motel again!!! Too expensive and very low rate for the amount I was charged for entering and exiting the room within 5 minutes of checking in!!!!!

let me tell you a story short and simple this place is trash. If i could give the worst review i would. It says its open 24 hours a day its not. The manager is extremely rude. The doors wont lock properly. The bathroom door in my room did not lock at all. Found old garbage from the previous people in my room. The beds are stiff. NO MATTER WHAT THOSE 3 PEOPLE SAID THIS PLACE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL IF THIS IS YOUR LAST RESORT JUST WAIT A FEW MORE DAYS IF NOT GO CAMPING INSTEAD STAY AWAY!

Outside you can appreciate a bit old, but the rooms are newly renovated, the beds are very comfortable, have a kitchen, refrigerator and very good space.The Wifi works very well and the pool is very nice.
