We stayed in the premium king room and there was plenty of space with stunning views of the mountains and estuary.  The room had everything we wanted and was very clean and well presented

Staff were friendly and welcoming, with the hotel being in a good location

Great hotel in a good location

What a privilege it was to stay in this beautifully decorated room right on the water.  We watched the moon rise in the east, while deer and seals went by our windows.  It's a ten minute walk to the town center from this hotel, we did not mind that little trek.  There's a wonderful health food supermarket across from the hotel. We loved it and extended our stay since we couldn't bear to leave.

Great stay at Tides Inn & Suites.
Outstanding Southwesterly water views and comfortable room accomodations which include jacuzzi bath tubs, for those inclined. Staff, including maintenance personal were guest customer service oriented and went overboard to ensure great guest experience. 
Very close to downtown (approximately 3 blocks) but away from hectic tourist crowds and congestion. Easy guest parking and very short walk 200 ft. to excellent restaurant, Bayview for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 

GREAT STAY AT TIDES INN & SUITES

Traveling with family, enjoyed the one night stay.  The room had been renovated and was very nice.  My bed was very comfortable, pillows too.  The refrigerator was good.  We didn’t turn on the tv but it looked very techy because we were too happy to sit on the deck with a beer and enjoy the quiet and view.  We parked right in front of our room and it was quiet.  Thank you to the host/staff, he was very helpful and offered to let us see the room before registering.

Olyimpic Peninsula Tour

Cute hotel on the water with great views of the ferry coming in and out! Fireplace, large tub, and small balcony we could go out on. Parking tight, got the last spot in the lot. We arrived around 7pm & unfortunately the room was not ready yet. They reported they had more than one housekeeper call out but it would have been really nice to know that before we got there ready to put our kids down. We came from EST and the kids were so tired. No compensation, just an apology. Did have AC which is harder to find in the area.

Delayed Checkin

We stayed in a renovated room on the water. It was a simple King Room.  It was clean, comfortable bed, and a large balcony with a great view. It also had a very easy walk to Safeway, the marina, and downtown. Our room was a bit of a tight fit and there was only one end table and one chair in the room. We would have liked to have had a table on the balcony so we could eat/drink comfortably and to enjoy the balcony more (there were only 2 chairs).  The AC worked great and there was a nice mini fridge but the breakfast wasn't provided yet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, we would stay there again!

Great Location and View

This place sits on a narrow strip of land between the main road and the water. Easy walk into downtown Port Townsend and places to eat. There are lots of rooms, and it looks like each one has a balcony facing the water. Check-in was very easy, and the staff was great. Sandi was very friendly and accommodated our requests with a smile. Geoffrey the manager provided excellent customer service. 

As others have pointed out, this is a hotel in transition, and it is a bit rough around the edges. Like in other small communities across the western United States, hotels, restaurants and other tourist-oriented businesses are struggling to attract and keep good staff. This is likely a challenge here as well.

Convenient location and great staff

We had room 305 which had a nice corner balcony overlooking the water right in the beach. The beds are super comfy and all was clean. Easy walking distance anywhere in town with parking right in front of your building. We didn’t use our car once we checked in. Has a coffee maker and refrigerator. Highly recommend even though breakfast is not included at this time.

Excellent location on the waterfront

This was our first stay, looking for a mid-week 1 night getaway in Port Townsend. Front desk staff (Gerry & Geoffrey)sp? were friendly professional & informative. Our spacious top floor room (bridal suite?) exceeded expectations. Appreciated the uncluttered decor. We watched maritime traffic, an otter & an eel from the bay window sitting area plus 6 deer from the balcony. Enjoyed the walk-in shower for 2 & the ample counter space in the bathroom. Know that the climate control thermostat is by the propane fireplace. Though tempting, we did not use the spa tub. There were guests below and next to us, but did not hear them. It felt like we were the only ones there. The fridge hummed a bit & the A/C unit was quiet. Planning a return visit when the breakfast area reopens, which could double as a reception or meeting area. We split a 4 piece fish & chips order ($20) at the Bayview Restaurant which is within our walking distance. Know that many shops open at 11 during the week, which coincides with check-out time. The owner speaks Korean. IDK if he's available 24/7. We plan to follow the restoration of the original iconic Tides Inn sign still standing after 50(?) years.

Quintessential experience: Clean, quiet, comfortable, secure & oh, so romantic!

Undersized bed was barely big enough for two average size adults. The room had an unusual buss all the time in the room causes issues with a great nights sleep. Road noise was there but not a big deal. No breakfast was available of any kind for a price. It was ok for a one nights stay but do think it would be good for more than one night. The best part of this motel was that the towels seem to be very new.
