Decided on the spur of the moment to spend a couple days in Portland, and just needed a place to start from each day, close to PDX. Cameo was a pleasant find, particularly considering the restaurant next door. The motel looks older but was not run down, clean room, comfortable bed. But best was the owner, who was always there morning and night whenever we needed to contact the office. He and his wife run the place, but never met his wife. Anyways he had good advice and made our stay much easier considering never having been in NE before. Hard to find the value anywhere else, and location worked well for our needs. Would definitely consider returning.

When you book a motel, you sometimes do not know what to expect, despite that you read.

The Cameo was clean and inexpensive.  Some items were not as up-to-date as other chain hotels, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and up dated, the internet was fast enough, and the management was congenial.  When I have a quick trip into a town, that is exactly what I need.  I would stay here again.

Clean & Inexpensive

At first appearance (11 pm), I was a bit daunted by the folks "hanging out" and the "south of the tracks" feeling.  But having to wake up the manager, he was not annoyed, gave us our key; and we found we were stay across the street-a more "hotel-like" appearance.  Assuming then that where we checked in may have been more long term tenants.  

The curtain in our room was heavy and kept out light.  We slept comfortably.  The rooms could use some updating, but ours was clean and quiet.

Everything worked and clean.  Well priced for what you get and pleasant folks checking us in.  The people at the hotel were no nonsense. The rooms were clean! Great water pressure.  Parking was a little difficult because they were busy but fine.

Well Maintained and Good Value for the Price

I was looking for something reasonably priced near the airport.  Was there late and was promptly checked in.  The room was across the street and it was pretty dark.  Being a solo female traveler it did make me a bit nervous walking over but ended up being fine. It kind of looked like some people might actually live in the motel but couldn't tell for sure.  Nobody bothered me so I didn't really care.  The room was clean and it was pretty quiet .  Wouldn't likely stay again but it met my needs in this case.

Close to airport

Big room with microwave and fridge. The bathroom was clean, the shower a dream. The towels were soft and smoky clean. The big kingsize bed was cozy.
