We had a great getaway stay at the Mercury. Todd was wonderful. My wife recently had knee surgery and he arranged for 24 hr ice. Very helpful. The room was “cozy”, we knew it would be, The location is great! 2-3 blocks from superb restaurants. There is limited parking, but public lots are also  nearby. (Provincetown’s one minus is parking). Unfortunately it rained while we were in town, but we would have enjoyed the rooftop deck.

Great place, great location

Overall a nice hotel. The biggest issue was that were were shown our room and that was it. No explanation of any of the amenities or if we needed any service during our stay. We had no idea the was a lovely rooftop deck until the morning we left.  The other issue I had was that the room (13) had a very slanted ceiling which made it difficult to get to the other side of the bed. Especially since I am 6’2”. They should think about moving the bed to a different wall or making this room for a single person. Or at least let you know the room is very tight for a tall person. I would stay there again however as it was clean and convenient to Commercial st.

Close to everything with a few caveats

We’ve had such a lovely stay at the Mercury. Even though we were visited Ptown off season, we nevertheless had an amazing time thanks to the lovely staff and their recommendations for what to do in winter. We immediately booked the Mercury for a next trip to Ptown in Summer. 

Never felt so welcome 

Enjoyed the stay - amenities, location, just a nice place to relax.  Would stay again. Convenient to all points within walking distance. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Thank you to a nice place to rejuvenate. 

Travel with a Group 

I arrived to discover I had a shared bathroom.  The hotel needs to change the room name (big print, Expedia) to "Queen-Shared Bath"!  I checked back and it was in the small print, but I never would have booked that room if I had realized.
Also, I'd recommend they spend a few nights in their own room.  For instance, shared bath but no hooks in room to hang up my bath towel or robe. The placement of the bed wasted about a third of the floor space because the slanted ceiling meant you can't walk to the other side of the bed.
The staff was nice, the free coffee card at nearby place was great, but little things could make this a much better stay.

Just OK, but could easily be so much better.

Mercury hotel is very nice, great location and mostly as described.  Thomas is a welcoming host.  He provided coupons for coffee at Joe's coffee as this place no longer offers breakfast.  Be aware - parking is limited to 6 spaces on first come basis. My room has no refrigerator and TV did not work.  And most irritating for me - No Heat and it was damn cold !

Nice Guest house But...

I've been coming to Provincetown for years, and something has always been missing. Turns out it was the Mercury Hotel! Perfect combination of proximity to Commercial Street, while still being quiet enough to come back relax. Really cute decor too, and Thomas at the front desk was wonderful to interact with!

In one word: wow! 

I am so happy and thankful for my time at the Mercury Hotel! It is a beautiful property, in a great location, and it is managed and staffed by some of the kindest people I’ve met in Ptown! Be sure to check out the rooftop deck which has a 360° view of town during the day plus the stars at night (and the moon if your timing is right)! Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

We had an exceptional experience from start to finish.  Our room was impeccable, the common areas were chic and inviting, and the staff was beyond incredible.  Thomas took such great care of us.  We highly recommend staying at the Mercury for your trip to Provincetown; we will definitely be back.

The best GEM in Ptown

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Mercury West! The  property is beautiful inside and out. Impeccably designed and decorated inside for a unique and relaxing vibe and outside has gorgeous landscaping including a patio and even a large rooftop deck with ocean view. We loved our comfortable and very charming room. Our visit to this perfectly located hotel to the center of town was highlighted by the outstanding and exceptionally caring and friendly service by the hotel manager Thomas and team member Crystal. We can’t wait to go back!
