At the Provincetown Inn the staff was outstanding and went out the their way to be helpful but the accommodations  were dated and disappointing.
The location was superb, sorry that the Inn is not. In our room, the floors were uneven, doors did not shut, faucet on the sink leaked and this was suppose to be the recently renovated Inn. 
again the setting was beautiful but the Inn was not.

Sadly disappointing.

Where can I begin? We visited as two couples. We booked via a booking site and the photos on the room choice were apparently not of the rooms we had selected despite appearing clearly on the booking. We were supposed to have stayed for three nights but checked out after one it was so bad. 
We are all in our 60’s and were expected to carry heavy suitcases up stairs. No offer of help at all and no lift. 
The person on the desk (young girl possibly French?) was rude, appeared bored and could not be bothered with us. 
After checking in we went to the rooms. They were awful. The whole top of the hotel stank of weed (this was also noticed by the staff.)
The rooms were not properly cleaned and the shower head was hanging off the wall. Both rooms overlooked an internal roof full of air vents and the noise was awful. Also there was mould in the bathrooms and hairs on the toilet seat. There were several large cobwebs hanging across the room as well! 
We immediately went back to reception and the girl said she could do nothing. The manageress on duty was more helpful and understood the problems with the state of the rooms however she said that the hotel was fully booked for the second and third night of our stay so although she could move us for one night we would have to accept the awful rooms after that or check out. 
There was absolutely no way we could stay there so had to check out. The rooms we had for the one night were ok but felt more like a dorm on a school trip. 
The four of us have never had to check out of a hotel before in our whole lives. It was that bad! 
So sad as this is such a beautiful location in a great town.

Absolutely the worse rooms we have ever seen!

We reserved a 'superior' water-front room.
We experienced a "good stay". Hotel is nicely located at West End;10 mins walking to center. Pricy.
The room was a bit plain w small bath. But what made the room 'superior', was its location w porch 15 feet from the water!  

Hotel Lobby adorned w vintage murals of old Provincetown. Staff friendly, but tended to over texted refs logistics of checking in and checking out!

Complementary coffee begins at 7 ish and was a treat. Coffeemaker in the room barely functioned.

The hotel dinner in their West End Grill,(pricefixed) was a delight!Not included in the room.

I rate our experience as a 4/5 chiely because of the location, water view and dinning.

Enjoyable Fall stay

My wife and I had a reservation there Thursday night, and we were assigned room 40.  As soon as we got into the room and put our bags down, the ants were obvious.  There were ants on our bed, in the sheets, and on the pillow cases.  We were pretty disgusted.  The desk employees (including the supervisor ) were completely unphased.  We were offered another room but we pressed for a refund……we were refunded and booked another hotel.  The ironic part is an employee at the other hotel told us the provincetown inn has had ant problems for years…..( we told them about our experience when we checked in ).

We’ve been going to Provincetown Inn at the Cape for years. I have to say the new Ownership  has really done a great job. The desk people were friendly and accomadating. The maid was cute and perky. . I miss the morning breakfast buffet but its no problem. We’re here for the relaxing location.

Another memorable Vaca

Basic, but quaint, room. Very comfortable bed and clean. What made the room exceptional was waking out to the spectacular view with lawn and lounge chairs. 

The location is fantastic. We weren’t interested in staying in the heart of P-Town, but it’s so close. 

We were both surprised to find out the Inn is far more of a resort. The murals and lounging areas were beautiful and comfortable. 

The restaurant was also very nice. The calamari was over cooked, so we sent it back. The next evening we heard the waitress telling other customers they were out, which means they did the right thing and pitched them. The wings were good. Our dinners were delicious. 

Breakfast buffet was also great. Especially for a buffet. 

We didn’t go to the pool because it was too late in the season, but we heard it is a lot of fun in season. 

We are already planning our next return trip.

Beautiful views, convenient location, small but quaint room.  Definitely returning.

David the manager is wonderful! I haven’t ever felt so welcomed to a place in my life. Everyone is smiling and happy and the place in extremely clean. They have a restaurant and bar…beautiful lobby, pool and beach as well as great views. Can’t wait to come back!

The man at the desk won’t let us sit in the lobby because we’re not guests at the hotel. Hotel lobbies are for the public in my experience. If I’m treated right as a member of the public then I might go to the hotel. In this case I wouldn’t go to the hotel.

Unfriendly

We spent a relaxing two weeks last month at the Provincetown Inn - our home away from home when we make our annual trek to the Cape.  The property has been refreshed and was clean and well taken care of and, once we had checked in and received our parking pass, we immediately began to lose the tension we brought with us from NYC.  As usual, the staff was incredibly pleasant and very attentive, one housekeeper even going so far as to check through her vacuum bag when we thought we'd lost an earring which was later discovered elsewhere.  We had two very pleasant buffet breakfasts in the dining room and otherwise enjoyed the view from the private patio outside our Cape Tip room both in the morning and again in the evening for a glass of wine before dinner.  The location of this property is perfect for us - a mere 15-minute walk from the center of town, but far enough out to  get away from the hustle and noise.  Year after year, we return to the Provincetown Inn and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.  Thank you to the staff and management for a great stay and we look forward to seeing you again in 2023!

Another fantastic stay!

This place is the best! I stay here every year. Walk out your room onto a great private beach or mosey over to the pool with it's tiki bar and snack shack. Walk to the end of the driveway to catch the shuttle into town. I park my car when I get there and it doesn't move until I head for home. 
Great staff, great breakfast; stop in the lounge for a nightcap before heading to your very comfortable room. Good WIFI reception. 
I highly recommend P-town Inn!
