PTown is always fun. Went there for the Carnival and 1st time at the inn. It is still walking distance to the center, yet quiet.
Steve was very helpful and hospitable.
Breakfast was decent.
There are lots of outdoor spaces to hang around with friends
Best yet, free parking!

Provincetown Carnival 2024

I booked a stay here through Expedia about 4 weeks ago for July 2024 that I was really looking forward to. Much to my dismay, I received a very vague and unapologetic notification from the property through Expedia letting me know that my reservation was canceled and that it would be refunded. Expedia was incredibly unhelpful in assisting me with finding a new place to stay and they let me know many other's were facing the same situation as the Inn would be closed. I then received a call from from the Inn directly telling me that Expedia had the wrong rates and they would call me back with the new rates once they've been finalized. Needless to say, both parties are trying to cover-up for their own negligence but I am the one stuck with plane tickets, ferry tickets, and other things related to this trip that I have purchased and are non-refundable. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my entire life and I am starting to think that maybe I dogged a bullet here. If they can't keep track of whatever false rates they are putting out there for customers to book for over a month and do not offer a solution, they certainly can't provide an experience that would be enjoyable. Ptown is such a wonderful place and there are plenty of fantastic places to stay, so I would suggest saving yourself the hassle and staying clear of this nonsense.

You will want to stay here

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.  We booked late for the season (May, for an August visit), and in deciding between here and another hotel, the free parking set this place well above the others.  It's nestled just behind Bradford Street on a quiet little stretch of road.  Check-in was a breeze (although, I wish I didn't have to carry a key around, but that was only a minor inconvenience).  The room was basically ready upon arrival, and it was spacious, with a super comfortable bed, a nice separate seating area, and a large bathroom.  The room had just enough closet space for us, and plenty of space to move luggage out of the way. They also provided robes, umbrellas, and beach towels and a tote, which were really nice touches.  

Breakfast in the morning was always amazing - well stocked and delicious, with iced coffee to boot. We chose not to have our room serviced, but they were so nice when we asked for new towels.  

The location, cleanliness, free parking, and free breakfast make this place stand out so much more than others in the area.  HIGHLY recommend!

My new favorite PTown Inn

Even though this was our first year to stay at this property we already feel like the people who work here are our family.  They are always so helpful and friendly and every need is fulfilled almost immediately. They are very accommodating and will do whatever it takes to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy. The breakfast is delicious and we love the common room where it is served. You can sit in one of the cozy areas they have inside or even in the garden area outside. We enjoyed talking to other guests and sharing ideas of where to eat or what to see. Our room was perfection. It was air conditioned and very clean and we loved that we got fresh towels every day (at other places this is not always true).  The bed and pillows were very comfortable and they have very reliable Wi-Fi for streaming your favorite shows on your own devices. The location is great since it is only a three minute walk to Commercial Street where all the action is. I love that it is near the library because I love to read and anyone can get a library card there.  We also appreciated the convenience of the on-site parking lot.  You can’t go wrong with the Salt House Inn. We will return as often as we can.

Our Home Away From Home

We loved everything about the Salt House Inn! Walkable to everything, clean and Steve was so friendly :) the decor was comforting and a great balance between new and old. We will stay again for sure! 

The best! 

Close to Commercial street action.  Parking on site!  Breakfast was amazing.  Happy hour each day 4-6.  Modern room but could hear guests above and next room.  All quite by 10!  Refrigerator in the room.  Very close to the road which is typical for these old buildings.  Very nice staff!

It’s good!

Lovely little hotel in a great location, with lovely staff and a very nice breakfast. We found our room to be small and pretty basic and rather noisy, being right next to the road. 

The room we were given had limited space for our bags and we were woken up several times by traffic on the road (despite the ear plugs given). Breakfast was very well done and perfectly adequate, with fruit, yoghurts and toast/bagels (although croissants were dry). Happy hour was a nice touch. 

Staff were lovely and helpful.

Nice little hotel

Not much more to say! Loved staying here and felt so cared for, safe, rested yet close to all the action of town. Can’t recommend this place more! If you’re expecting a large room, you won’t find that here (or in much of ptown) but if you want a comfortable, clean hotel that feels more like a B&B or staying with friends, this is your place.

Clean, quaint, comfy and close

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Salt House Inn for two nights in early June!  It was absolutely fantastic.  The accommodations were perfect - clean and updated but still felt cozy and welcoming.  The staff was excellent as well!  Jordan was so helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations.  He even made reservations for us one night!  The location of the Salt House Inn is also perfect.  Very central to the main the street and less than a 10 minute walk from the Ferry Port.  Only good things to say about this Bed & Breakfast.
