Look, I have a hard time giving a bad review but this place was bad. Noted that to the owner and he fed me a story of just taking over and needing to get stuff done. Read the reviews and he has been saying that for years. Given a chance to stay here again, I would pass. Old dump and that is being good.

Keep on keeping on...

We arrived early and were able to check in. We parked right at the door as this is the old style motor hotel. The place is a little dated and needs minor repairs, but is clean and comfortable. I would put the bed and pillows up against the top chains. Nice TV with plenty of channels, wi-fi, fridge, and microwave. they are near restaurants less than 5 minutes. Fair price and friendly man that checked us in. Yes, we rang the bell and waited 30 seconds. It is family owned and staffed so I understand. Would stay here again if we ever are back in town.

Totally satisfied

I've stayed at this hotel may times in the past.  Its always been a mom and pop type, but there was pride in ownership.  This last time, its clear things have changed.  I arrived just after 6PM to a locked front door.  After ringing the bell several times, someone finally arrived to check me in.  Restaurant is gone.  Room reeked of some kind of aerosol.  Repair job around tub was cracked with gaps in the caulk, and black mold showing in multiple places. The heater in the bathroom was missing the knob, so unless you have a pair of vice grips packed in your luggage, it was unusable. The bed has to be on of the cheapest made, very uncomfortable and squeaked and groaned every time you moved.  Some "professional" installed a tread between the carpet and bathroom tile using the wrong size screws.  Subsequently the screws stuck up over the tread and were mighty painful when my heel encountered them in the dark.   No one was present in the lobby, door was again locked when I left. A very side state of affairs and a real loss for the community.

This is a place that had a very vintage feel. My water was nice and hot. Everything was very clean. They have WiFi, Tv,Ac, mini fridge, microwave etc. Very cheap and near Walmart and Taco Bell and there are others that deliver food as well. Punxsy pizza is delicious!!

Very quick check in. Gentleman at desk is very friendly and cordial. He stated that place is older, but very clean. Place in good condition for age. And very clean. Noticed a disinfectant odor upon entering, but is not noticeable after a few minutes.
   Bed very comfortable, heat worked well. Plenty of hot water. WiFi works well, might become lacking if motel is full. Room was on rear side, no noticeable road noise. Big box store and three dining places across highway. Construction workers there made no noise at all.
   Would definitely stay again.

had everything I needed. very comfortable, spotless clean, very friendly helpful staff.  close to everything.  not fancy, just great mom & pop type motel at very reasonable price.  Would definitely recommend and stay again if in area!

won't find better value for your money

We visited Punxsutawney last night. There are not many places to choose from. This is an old place. Don't let it scare you. We stayed here. The price was fair. The owner is kind. The room was warm and clean!
