I will never be back. I have never witnessed employees trying to fight guests at any business, until this place. 

Bad:
1. My friend and I witnessed an employee trying to start a fight with guests: It was a short girl with dark hair. Her male buddies were very happy to help as well. They were screaming at the guests. Obviously, some of the guests were screaming back. Luckily, the guests kept their cool and left. We would have gotten the names but we were leaving anyway and did not want to get verbally attacked either, so we left asap.
2. The pool and hot tub were dirty. Nasty stuff floating around.
3. The chairs around the pool were nasty. I tried not sit on them.
4. DJ kept hitting on women using his microphone. Which was super annoying.

Good:
1. The bartender was good.
2. Good location

Needs new owner & employees

Great time place was clean staff friendly great location younger crowd and music was loud but all good didn’t come to PIB to sleep we had a great time and we are in our 60s age is nothing but a #  All good 

Fun at PIB august 2023 

The front desk staff were rude not friendly and welcoming.  The hotel is way overpriced, no furniture other than a bed, the lamp shade was so old it was all cracked.  No hooks to hang towels or wet bathing suits.  We rented a golf cart and apparently we're told to turn the key in at 9 pm which we didn't hear, so we simply returned the cart by 9 pm.  They put a lock on it so we couldn't drive it the next day until we "went to the front desk to get all on the same page'... Bathroom floors were grungy dirty.  Not a nice place.

Women's weekend

I was a bit nervous about choosing this hotel based on the mixed reviews.  

There were reviews stating that the staff was rude - the staff was great.  Everybody was friendly, including the owners. 

There were reviews that said that there was not service / new towels provided in rooms.  This is not true.  We had new towels daily.  There were people in halls cleaning rooms daily.  We don’t want full service, so we were happy. 

The hotel was purchased by new owners in 2022, they are in the process of making improvements to the hotel.  We saw new mattresses being delivered when we arrived. 

We were also nervous about noise from the pool area.  Yes, there is music playing.  I think it plays from 11am-9pm when the pool closes.  

Was happy with the security. You need a wrist band to enter the property after a certain time.  

This hotel has a great location - within walking distance to most bars/attractions/Jet Express.  We did not rent a golf cart - did not need one.  

We liked that they used a text program to communicate with us.  We had no needs, but they are available via a text. 

Overall, our stay was great! We will definitely be back!

Pleasantly surprised!

This place is disgusting 😞 I wish I never spent a single dollar in this place it ruined my entire trip the way these employees talk to the customer is unacceptable and the owners just take there side

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

We just got back from a stay at the islander. We knew ahead of time it would be older/need updating which the new owners will be starting soon as the season ends.  I'm looking forward to seeing what improvements they make for next year.   The place was clean and bed was comfy. We only stayed 2 nights on a Thursday/Friday so it was quite for us (wouldn't want to be in the island at peak season as it's too crowded for our liking). 

The new owners/staff were pleasant and we had no issues. We would stay there again. Worked for our needs

Good stay for the price

We were charged $200 for our room as a security deposit at check in at the same time our charge for 3 days was charged to our CC. Then we were charged 300 to rent a golf cart for 3 days in advance to our CC. Apparently no one cleans the rooms while you are there, due to Covid. After walking from the farthest away building to the front desk for fresh towels, I was told I could not get any uNless I brought to them my dirty towels and exchanged them, due to Covid.  We were only allotted two extra thin towels along with 1 packet of coffee and no soap for a 3 night stay.   When I asked for soap and shampoo at the desk, they claimed I should have been given that to me in my room. It seemed to be a burden to provide me with extras. I will never stay at the hotel again. It is run down with 1 fluorescent overhead light in the bathroom and no vanity light In front of the sink.

Stingy on towels

Okay I’ll start with the pros to be nice.

- close to a lot of the restaurants and bars 

Cons

Run down and small

The property needs a facelift. Very misleading. We stayed in the “back building” the room was very small, the bathroom had a very uneven floor, 2 different flooring tiles in the bathroom that we tripped over multiple times because of the large crack in it. The lighting was so poor in the bathroom my wife and mother in law could not even get ready in there because you could not see. The fan did not work so every time we showered the entire bathroom was soaked from steam. The toilet was so low my handicapped father in law could barely get up from it. 
Not five minutes into entering the very HOT room I cracked my foot off of the bed rail that was sticking out casing me to bleed all over for a long time. Tried to call the front desk but there wasn’t a phone in the room and they would not answer when I used my cell phone. This building has no access to easily walk to the front desk since there’s no internal entrance to the pool area that leads you around to the front desk and the gate was locked to the pool at 8pm to the entrance that was close to our building. The hvac was disgusting filled with evident dust as you could see it and when turned on it blew all over the place. No refrigerator( come on it’s 2022) very inconvenient for those that visit the island and don’t have a vehicle. The beds are way over due to be replaced. There was such a dip in the bed that I actually had to hold on most of the night. There was 2 pillows to each bed both of which felt like no pillow at all and when asking the front desk for additional it was like pulling teeth. Additionally, we needed extra towels since we had to soak up the floor from the shower steaming so much so that my father in law would not slip and fall and the front desk attendant actually made the comment that “we don’t normally replace the towels, but you seem like a nice guy that wouldn’t steal them” again I’m sorry it’s 2022 change our the towels out for crying out loud! No one came to the room at all on our second day, leaving trash flowing over. Disgusting! You spend 500$ a night for a very less than par room this is unacceptable and it’s not like we were asking for a lot here. Disappointing to say the least. The island was beautiful but do not waste your money here as you will be very disappointed.

Not good

Just wanted to say how amazing the staff was. Friendly and happy to help. The swim up bar was great. The barstaff amazing. The spa was relaxing. The room very comfy. The only thing I would change is they should get some floats for the lazy river. I highly recommend. They offer golf cart rental for 12 hours for $100.
