Stinky rooms, old building, bad breakfast. Everything is terrible. Stay away. Find some place else to stay. There was a smell coming from the carpet of our room. Lack of facilities and courtesy in the staff.

Terrible place to stay

Mario at the front desk is wonderful to deal with. Knowledgable and gave great recommendations and advice.  Let us check in early as well. 

Breakfast time was confusing as my non-English speaking husband thought it ended at 10:30. I asked housekeeping (in the hallway) and received confirmation that it was open past 9:30 so I headed down at 9:43. No luck but the front desk gave me bagged breakfasts but refused to grab some frozen egg sandwiches from the kitchen because if they do it for me, they have to do it for everyone.  But this isnt a classroom, its a hotel where hospitality is key.  A satisfied customer returns, an unhappy one does not.  Cara at the front desk was willing to offer suggestions where we could go for breakfast rather than grab us some food. Miscommunications do happen. 

There was also someone smoking at 5:30 AM, somewhere near our room which was on the third floor- either from a room above, below or next to us, as the smoke entered through the air con unit which we were not using (window was also closed). 

So far, not happy with this hotel chain as it was our first stay ever.  It was a last minute decision to come here and the Hilton was booked so we thought wed give it a shot.  Location is great though. Very convenient to the walking path down to the lake and close to some great restaurants.  Mario suggested the Barnside BBQ and we loved it. 

The room was also clean and simple. Beds OK though they seem like full sized and not queen sized, but I could be mistaken.

First and last visit.

We enjoyed our time spent here at the comfort suites. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, pool was clean and enjoyable as well. Staff was very welcoming and generous as well, made sure we had everything we needed. Conveniently located right down the street from Six Flags, with a playground, basketball course, and a golf course, could easily take a path to get there. Scenery was also excellent, since this hotel is located in the beautiful Adirondacks. Every time we stayed here, we did feel welcomed, and we enjoyed it. We are saddened to hear the closing of this hotel. But, we wish you, and your staff the best of luck in the future. Thank you for creating such a fine establishment, it truly is a shame to see this place gone.

So sad to see this place closed!

So sad to know that this has closed.  We stayed here many times if we were not not camping on the lake.The Stark family always provided a spotless facility, good breakfast, and great service.  We hope that anyone who buys this hotel will be of equal quality.

I am a retired disabled NYC Cop and I have stayed in numerous hotles over the years with my serice dog, except when my family and I stayed at Comfort Suites Lake George - Queensbury. When I checked in I displyed my Service dog docuemtation with the clerk at the front desk and my first day at the hotel was really nice. Although on the second day, the owner of the hotel started yelling at me while I was walking my dog outside the hotel. He shouted that dogs were not aloud in his hotel. My dog had hjis service vest on and his ID was also displated on his service vest. I treied to explain that my dog was a service dog and once he relized I had the nesseasey documentation he demanded to know what service does my dog provide. I informed the owner that it is displayed on the vest of my dog, PTSD. I kindly told him that means I am not keen to anyone who is agressive, nor was my dog. The owner then called the police and a young officer from the sherifs office arrvived who was clueless about service animals procedure. The owner then called the telephone number I gave him for he service animals but he would not let me talk to them. He told me that PTSD was not consider a service dog illnes, but a companion dog. He then started arguing with my wife and eventually we had to pack all our stuff and leave. We booked into the Comfort Inn in Lake George and they were great.

We stayed here with my daughters softball team over the summer of 2019. I delt with Christan, she was extremely accomodating to all our needs, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay and everything we needed was taken care of. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were comfortable! We will definitely be returning for my daughters tournament in the summer of 2020!     Chrissy Wentworth

Great staff, very accomodating!!

Love this hotel. Very clean and the workers are so nice. Will definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the Lake George area. My husband and my 2 year old went for a 3 day trip to Lake George. The fall weather is so beautiful at the hotel with the leave and trees. My daughter look the park and slide the have at the back of the hotel 

Family trip

Very friendly reception upon arrival. Received a spacious room on 3rd floor with two queen beds, desk, chair, a sofa and comfy chair but no coffee table, a fridge with freezer shelf and microwave. Nice matching furniture and clean carpet. Breakfast served in a large room with nice ambiance. Food selection average.

Very "Comfort"able


I traveled here end of September for a weekend retreat with my church group. The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The indoor pool was great for the kids. I found the breakfast selection to be sparse and void of variety. If you enjoy carbing up there is a waffle station with a meager selection of toppings. I try to stick with healthy choices so I had packs of instant oatmeal. I always try to squeeze in a workout when I travel. The exercise room is very small with 3 cardio machines and a few free weights. Bring your own sanitizing wipes because there weren’t any. The room was clean and mattress/bedding very comfortable. Crisp white bedding and lots of pillows. However the furniture needs major replacement and TLC. For example a formerly black desk chair that was peeling so badly it had tan patches all over. I’m having trouble uploading pics so you’ll have to take my word for it. 
The fridge was very large and the room was equipped with a microwave. If traveling on my own I would probably look for another location with better breakfast options. 

Fall Retreat 

I can’t say enough good about this hotel stay. First of all Mike was fabulous accommodating me for a last minute booking. The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, up kept & overall pleasant. The windows open (I love that!) It just couldn’t been more of a pleasure. Thank you!
