Asbestos walls. Hot tub out of order. No fruit or anything that grows from a plant on the breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet was pitiful at best. Bulbs burnt out everywhere. 

Staff has very loud conversations both at the front desk and in the hallways. I was literally barricaded in my room by a gaggle of women loudly talking outside of our room this morning. 

The real kicker is the RUDE women working the front desk. I don’t care if it’s an answer I don’t want, I care about how that answer is delivered. 

We won’t be back, there are plenty of other options in town. 

We Should Have Chosen a Different Hotel

My wife and I stayed there last Wednesday and This place is amazing. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was pretty good, and the lady at the front desk was such a beautiful soul. Mandy or Amanda was her name, this lady helped my wife and I out with directions, she asked if we needed anything every time, we seen her. Employers need more people like this young lady.  We will be staying at the Gold Vault Inn again!!!!

Awesome Place to Stay

$100 cash deposit requirement is RIDICULOUS!! I have never stayed in a hotel where I had to put down a $100 CASH deposit to check in. They accept card payments but refuse to charge your card for the deposit and make you go to an ATM. This is very inconvenient and degrading and seriously delays the check-in process (especially at midnight after a long day of traveling). Management, if you cant at least provide an ATM in the lobby, DO REQUIRE YOUE CUSTOMERS TO DRIVE ALL OVER TOWN LOOKING FOR AN ATM!!!!!

Absolutely horrible. New ownership and HORRIBLE costumer service have ruined what used to always be our favorite part of family visiting us (we are a military family so that is always so important, and this WAS our place...it is heart breaking that they have destroyed it) 

Horrible

We stayed one night to attend Family Day and Graduation at Fort Knox.  Convenient location to the army base and several dining options nearby.

The hotel itself is dated and could use renovations, however, our room was clean and everything in working order.  The AC could have been colder but we made due the 1 night. 

We didn’t use the indoor pool but it looked nice.  The complimentary breakfast was good and we appreciated that it started early (6am).  

Price was reasonable and we would stay here again.

Convenient to Fort Knox Army Base

The heat quit working but they wouldnt send anyone to fix it. I feoze the whole night. The internet only works in the bathroom. The wall paper is pealing. 0 stars, staying in your car is a better option!

Crap place to stay

We’ve stayed here multiple times while visiting KY on our way south. Yes, it’s dated, but clean and comfortable. The pool-side rooms provide convenient access to the pool; yes they can be noisy on a Saturday night. The pool/hot tub area is beautiful at night. Hot breakfast is scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy plus other continental items. I’m glad to support a local hotel, not a chain.

Great place for families

Not many choices for nice hotels in the area. So, had 2 rooms booked. Opened door to one of the rooms and the mattresses were up against the wall, room not cleaned (found out later that housekeeping went home early and that mattress was being scrubbed) etc. We arrived about 3:30. We were told would give us another room, but they would not be next to each other. They did give us the adjoing room the next day. Had room on ground floor that faced indoor pool. Pool does not close till 10pm, but not enforced, screaming kids voices echoing off the walls. The worse part was cockaroach on the wall, BED and in bathroom. Killed all 3..but yuck. The lobby was pretty though!! Hotel is very close to entrance to fort knox.

PICK SOMEWHERE ELSE

I took my daughter back up to Kentucky and spent 3 days at this hotel.well first thing the toilet didn't work right, then the tv remote worked when it wanted to.So I let the woman at the front desk know about it.she called the maintence guy.I met him at the room,he adjusted the water flow in the toilet,one problem taken care of.He grabbed the remote standing within 2 feet of it and proceeded to change chanels well guess it works.that eveningI tried to use it from the bed and then from the chair they had in the room.I couldn't get the remote to change chanels or get it to adjust the volume unless i was about 2 feet away.the next morning I was talking to one of the house keepers about it,any way she got it fixed,.all it needed was new batteries,a cheap fix,if only they would have done this the the first time they would have got a better review.

not a bad place to stay

 the staff was nice that was there when I checked in, sweet lady and even offer me a snack and water. The atmosphere was good and it was close to stores to go get personal items that I needed and convenient to go out to eat
