Disgusting rooms. It was late...Holiday Inn was full. Dirty, stained comforters on beds, black stains (mold?) on FACECLOTH....gobs of toothpaste on the FAUCET. Lots of mold on shower curtain and tub. The WINDOW had 3 of 4 panes of glass broken! Room 1116. Filthiest place I ever stayed. A/c worked and bed was comfortable.

This place would be a nice place to stay if they really cared about updating and cleaning this place.bathroom dirty and the room was out dated with refrigerator dirty and the room smelled moldy over all very out dated and dirty

Needs update and over all cleaning

The hotel was not able to make keycards, so I had to wait for a maid to come to the front office to let me into my room. My first room was really smelly. It had a broken window that I almost cut my arm with when I opened the drapes.  The refrigerator was off and unplugged, so I couldn’t keep my cold drinks cold. So, I had to go to the front desk to register a complaint. The front desk attendant asked me if I wanted to change rooms. I said yes. The attendant gave me another room. I had to wait again for a maid to come and let me into the new room. The new room smelled great, but it had a smaller bed than the first room. I went back to the front desk and asked the attendant about the size of the bed. She said there were no more king sized rooms available. Since there was still a problem with getting keycards, I had to wait around for the hotel to get their system back up. Because of the wait, I was late for my appointment in Reading. At no point did the attendant offer my a credit, discount, or an apology for the problems with the room and keycards. 

Problems all over

I will never stay here again. I have stayed here many times and have never experienced something like this in a hotel before. The manager canceled my reservation 15 minutes after I made it the lady at the desk told me. There was not a single towel or washcloth in my room. I also had to pay an additional $8 to make an additional reservation. Never again.

Horrible Manager Service

First impressions do not bode well.  Trash and transients in parking lot.  Outer building maintenance not up to snuff.  ZERO attempt at beautifying front entry.

Enclosed registration desk makes it feel more like a methadone clinic.  Very rude and abrasive manager on 2 of 3 shifts.  Sad actually.

Room not clean at check-in.  Toilet obviously not touched.  Brought manager in and rather than apologize - he was "put out" having to deal with me.  Other parts of room were in disrepair.  Missing smoke detector - loose wires at air conditioner,  No stoppers in tub nor sinks - Curtain rod in shower broken - mold and mildew in shower..  I can go on - and on...  Look at pictures.  You cannot make this stuff up!

Be aware if you are a weekend stay - they have an attached function room adjacent to the lobby that they have bands or DJ's with loud music until at least Midnight.  If you get a room anywhere close to the lobby it will be an issue.  I could hear it loudly - with bass thumping in room 117...

Went to complain to manager  - and he was yelling at another guest.  I decided not to bother.  They obviously did not have customer service in mind.

Have I been in worse hotels?  Yes - but they were in third world countries.  Domestically - this one may take the prize.

Wow - How this remains in the CHOICE hotel portfolio is amazing......  TERRIBLE

When I booked the reservation the date shown on the website was what I wanted. The confirmation, however, sent to my email was not correct, and they refused to help me. Luckily my credit card company is reasonably useful.

Useless customer service

The girl at the desk was nice and pleasant however that was the extent of the good comments.  Hall smelled bad, room was dirty, bed was saggy, towels old and the t.v. was ancient. Our window was broken (not the glass) but the frame, I could not get it open or lock it and we were on the ground floor.  Our view was the fenced in garbage dumpster right outside the window.  I was a little nervous to eat breakfast there, just had a coffee and piece of toast.

Not good

The place is just disgusting.  If I had an option to leave 0 stars, I would.  Dirty is an understatement.  There were 3 of us staying at the hotel, including my young daughter and an elderly mother.  There was one dirty towel in the room.  I had to fight to get more towels.  Eventually, the guy threw another dirty towel in my face. I ended up using paper towels that I had in my car.  There was no linens on the bed.  When I asked for linens, the guy brought 1 dirty stained sheet.  We had 2 beds!!!! The blankets were burned through with holes in them and no sheets to cover them.  I am surprised the place is still in business.  We ran the next morning, didn't even bother checking out their free breakfast.
