We like to stay at Mom and Pop type places when we travel. We will choose another one next time when we're in this area. The check-in hours are kind of strange considering many Travelers go a long distance and drive past 9:30 in the evening. That makes this Motel very inconvenient. However, since we were aware of the hours, we were able to plan for it. Considering what we paid for the room we did expect to get a little bit more than what we got.

Reservation were made. Got a written confirmation. Called to confirm our arrive. Was told he forgot to write it down and they were full. Last year at least they still had openings. This year no such luck. Never going back.
Motel has been ok for a one night stay if you aren't expecting anything but the basics.

Checkout closes at 9pm, which is pretty ridiculous for travelers. While this was stated in the fine print of their Expedia listing (where we booked) - we did not see it and have never experienced a hotel/motel that doesn’t keep a staff member on site at all times for guests. My husband was locked out when he arrived after a long night of driving, and had to find a new place to stay. When I expressed my disappointment, this was their response: 

"We close at 9 pm, which is why it states clearly that check-in is between 2:30 - 9 pm....so that our guests show up while we re open. Try going to the grocery store two and a half hours after they are closed; you will likely be "very disappointed" again."

They have ridiculous hours of check in, hidden in the fine print.  I came there and they were closed. The parking lot was empty. No signs of even being open. I had to find other accommodations. I was charged on my discover card and the manager said too bad you booked it and we are charging you. I will be charging back the charges as no services were rendered. Stay away from this hotel....

We stopped to check it out looking for a motel.  My husband and I probably would have stayed under other circumstances, but we had another in our party who was pickier.  The manager was very friendly, nice guy, with a sweet well-behaved dog.  Had a nice conversation with him.  He happily showed us a room.  Room was okay, had some remodeling done to it, but it did have a slight odor (maybe new carpet or paint?) The grounds were well-kept, it was on a quiet street.  I noticed crocheted afghans in the lobby and books that could be borrowed, as there were Adriondack chairs on the property to sit and read under shade trees.  I think I could have been happy there.  Didn't appear to be breakfast, but I think I saw coffee.

We Didn't Stay, But...

They are horrible people the managers Shawn seems a little slow no matter how much money we have him he still kicked us out cuz his dumbness overbooked it (will be following up on that) bathroom is worse than jail cell IM NOT JOKING it’s horrible and btw u have to do ur own house keeping yeah!!

Two years ago I wrote a review for this motel, but I need to update it. We were up in June for a relatives funeral. We reserved a room ahead of time, and when we checked in the manager said she had up graded us to a "suite". Well, it was far from that. It was a room that had a small refrigerator and a microwave in one room, and a futon, the other room had a queen sized bed. Well, the room was dirty, the phone didn't work, the toilet ran all night, and the door did not lock. We called the office, but got a recording. We had to leave early in the morning, so the office was not open. I once again called the number, and no one answered. We decided we could not stay another night with all the problems. I left another message and asked the manager to call me. She never did. When we were charged for 2 nights. I called again, and she informed me that she had gotten numerous calls during the night because of all the noise we made.  We had driven 6 hers, attended a wake and went to bed. I am almost 70 and my daughter is in her 40's. No noise in our room. When I tried to talk to her, she hung up on me. When I called back, she did not answer the phone, and it went to voicemail. The bottom line, I will never stay there again. Management can make a big difference, so this is to tell you to be aware. This motel is not what it used to be.
