This is a nice family and locally owned place. Clean. Comfortable. Affordable.  Non-pretentious.  Great. 

Not fancy by any means but you don’t need FANCY to be treated well.

Stay here. Support local business and a piece of Americana.

This place is wonderful and super clean. Very quiet but still near everything you need. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Leah  is the best! We travel through Rifle at least once or twice a year. This will be our go to place from now on..

Stay here! So fun and friendly!

A bit on the outskirts of Rifle.  It was hot so I was glad the a/c worked well and the hardwood floor of my room also helped.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  A couple of things that I didn't like were that my room had a shower stall rather than a bathtub and my room had a small window with no curtains.  The window looked out onto a hill-side so it would have taken effort for someone to look inside my room from outside but this still felt weird.

Nice place and I'd stay here again

The staff is super friendly and offer activities to engage visitors. There’s a great little sitting/fire pit area. They aren’t the fanciest of rooms, but are super clean and very homey. A bit off grid from the big chain hotels, but still close to anything you’d need. Great for some peace and quiet! We slept with the windows open to enjoy the Colorado air!

Great little place!

We arrived and marveled at the view of a Mesa right across the street. On entering, I was greeted by a lady who was just genuinely friendly. I had omitted to tell them I was bringing my dog but very quickly she found me a dog friendly room. It is a 50s style quaint motel but very well maintained and they were doing maintenance on it when we arrived — though the workmen went to great pains to ensure they didn’t cause us any inconvenience in terms of access or noise. The location was on a pleasant and quiet residential street. There was a lovely garden area outside where you could relax. It was very convenient to the downtown and the interstate. The morning we checked out, the gentleman at the desk was again very genuine, very friendly and I phased by the fact a stray dog burst into the office as I was checking out (I thought it was his, he thought it was mine so I’d naively let it in through the door as I entered) but he calmly settled down the stray canine with a sort of Andy Garcia Hollywood coolness while checking me out. While walking my own dog, I met who I assume are the owners children and again they were a delight, very polite and friendly. I really liked this hotel. It is a small family run location, very customer oriented but in a genuine, old timey way as opposed to the corporate forced “customer service.” It was also conveniently located near the state parks, and a great stop so we could get to the Utah parks early. I would 1.000 percent stay here again and highly recommend it.

Absolute delight

July 2019: Simple, Clean, Comfortable, Excellent 2 day stay. Hotel manager was extremely helpful with providing us with recommendations and everything needed for my family’s stay in Rifle. Unfamiliar with the town, we were there to visit Aspen and the surrounding area and wanted an affordable quality stay. Breakfast was simple, mostly cold items/snacks/oatmeal but it was still good and very much appreciated! If we’re ever back in the area we will definitely stay here again.

2 night stay near Aspen

This is an old motel, with a great location. We stayed here because it was the cheapest place near to Glenwood Springs where we hiked to Hanging Lake. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the A/C was extremely noisy like it is in many motels. The breakfast is minimal, but they had some packaged banana muffins that were really good & a variety of various trail mixes. Nothing hot but the coffee.

Okay stay

Bed was full of bed bugs. Our bodies were sore and itchy  and had lots of rashes the next morning, it took a week to get normal. This ruined our plans for next day. Refrain booking this place if you can at all cost.

Terrible place

Without hesitation, I will check here first before my next stay in Rifle. This motel is clean and comfortable, and the parking is very convenient - right in front of your door. It's also very quiet, and the price was right, especially compared to some of the nearby, overpriced name brand hotels. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I think they even mentioned they offer breakfast in the morning, which is highly unusual in my experience with this type of facility.

Thanks for a great stay. If my travels bring me back through Garfield County, I'll be back!

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient!

We had a stellar experience during our recent one night stay at this motel.  It is close to many outdoor activities, it is quiet, rooms are reasonably priced, parking is right by the rooms; AND it is tidy, the staff is great, and there are great amenities like the picnic tables, grills, laundry, etc.  Many nice touches that let you know the ownership and staff really care about the place and want their customers to enjoy their stay.  Great place, and a nice little piece of Americana to boot...
