This has some poor reviews but I disagree. Yes it is a bit run down. But the price reflects that. Yes it is out of town. But the price reflects that. The room was tidy and clean and it was a decent place to stay for one night. Thanks for having me. Regards

Not bad at all

The front desk person I was extremely rude oh, the room was $200 and just stunk terrible. The furniture cheap and broken up. The bathroom was a little tiny closet. The supposed jacuzzi tub you can't even stretch out in. It was supposed to be handicapped-accessible but the driveway in the sidewalks are all cracked up there's no buttons on the outside of the doors to allow a wheelchair to get in. We had two dogs with us and every other room around us had dogs in it barking and barking but they would not allow us to have dogs in our room, the bed is completely and totally uncomfortable.

This is the worst place I've stayed in in a long time

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE AT ANY HOTEL!!!!NEVER STAY HERE!! We got a room because it was New Years Eve and we live about 60 miles away. Got back to the hotel at around 12:30. TV didn't work. Went to front desk he told me to unplug a couple wires and if that didn't work to call him, but I didn't need to because he showed up at the door from a noise complaint. We had been there less than 10 min. Hadnt even opened our bags. My husband had got into bed and was asleep immediately on arrival back to the hotel and the TV didn't work. There was no noise!!! Unless the floors are so thin you can't walk on them. He then tried to fix the TV, didn't  work so I asked him if we could get a discount as there was no TV. He said no he couldn't do that. I asked what about his manager. He literally freaked out, said no and he would no longer service us and to get out of the hotel. I went down to the front desk and now the clerk was saying I tried to hit him!! It was unbelievable!! The front desk person did not seem qualified to have his position. We ended up having nowhere to go in the middle of the night on New Years Eve. Horrible experience!!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

The front desk man told me I couldn’t book a room because I’m from Shoreline Washington!!!!! I was astonished! I said that has to be a joke - a nice city outside of Seattle? The man behind the counter was so happy to say YES, you can’t stay here, I can’t book you a room the owners say we have had problems with people from there. Oh and the lobby was filthy, stunk of cigarette smoke and the man behind the counter looked like he was dressed to do yard work, not the face of a hospitality brand. 
I’ve never seen anyone get so much joy out of being truly cruel. I didn’t argue with him because I would never give a company like this money. We had just returned from Hawaii, it was late at night and I happily drove another 30 minutes to get away from this place!!! I wish I could give them no stars.

Horrible!!!!

The Egdewick Inn is showing its age a bit, but comfortable and clean enough, with a few quirks. A basic breakfast is offered. Not much in the way of local facilities, a couple of petrol stations and diners. However, it's a fairly short drive (and not really a walk!) to the town of North Bend, with restaurants bars and shops.

Just skip it. The halls smell like smoke, the rooms smell like cat pee and mold, and it is right across from a very busy truck stop.
And it is as expensive as a nice hotel in town.

Smoky trucker motel for twice the price

I chose Edgewick Inn because it was very close (within walking distance) to a multiple day event I was attending and seemed quite reasonable in price. I was very happy with my choice. The room was immaculate, if nothing fancy. There was a small, quiet refrigerator, but no coffee machine (you could get coffee in the lobby). They had vending machines for drinks and snacks.The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet as long as you kept the windows closed (the windows in my room were clearly soundproofing) as with them open you could hear the highway noise. I did not find it necessary to use heat or cooling and I didn't watch TV. There was plenty of hot water for my showers. I didn't try the complimentary breakfast (which I actually completely forgot came with my room - the clerk did not mention it), but there is an excellent diner across the street, which is where I ate most of my meals. My room overlooked the forest, which I thought was nice. The clerks were friendly and helpful.

Reasonable rates and very clean

This review is collaborative with my husband. We spent one night here in July 2019 so I could attend a concert at Snoqulamie Casino.

When I reserved online the reviews I read were through Booking.com and I saw enough positive that I was like - "Oh, OK. This seems alright". Don't trust those....always check multiple sources. Lesson 1.

We arrived at the hotel and it was obvious that it was an older property, but let's not judge a book by its cover, right? We went inside to check in and the desk clerk was nowhere to be found for a couple of minutes. Then a woman came out to the desk and began the check-in process. They do things the old fashioned way, no computer check-in, it's handwritten, etc. The process was reasonably efficient. She gave us directions to our room which is when we discovered there was no elevator. The 2 flights of stairs were not excessive, except when you are carrying a suitcase and other luggage and have a knee that doesn't like stairs. 

The hotel is in various states of renovation in different areas, including rooms. The flooring in the hallway looks newer. I think we stayed in a somewhat recently-renovated room.

There are security cameras in common areas, the building seems secure with outside motion-activated lights and locked doors from the outside, although we did discover one of the doors propped open at one point, probably for the convenience of another guest or a worker. It would be nice if they added the ability to swipe your room key to enter these doors, because it would make for a shorter trip to/from your vehicle/room depending on the room location.

Although there are smoking rooms available, we did not notice any smoke smell which was nice. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room had a little balcony which was nice. There was no security bar for the sliding door, although I suppose that since it was on the 2nd floor it wasn't as much of an issue as if we'd been on the first floor.

The room decor is cobbled together and plain; there was one painting hanging on a wall; I think it would look nice to have some other art over the beds. Or paint the wall there an accent color. The carpeting of the room was utilitarian but seemed clean enough. There was a table and 2 chairs, a 6-drawer dresser, a small fridge and microwave. A flat-screen TV was attached to the wall over the dresser. There was also a mirror on the wall near the door. 

The alarm clock on the nightstand was not plugged in; the box spring of the bed I slept in hit where the outlet was, which knocked the plug out and bent the plug of the radio. I did manage to unbend it and get it plugged back in, but the outlet was loose and a little scary to use. 

The bathroom flooring looked newer and the bathroom was clean, but the fiberglass tub had cigarette burns on the edge from who knows when. It was probably a smoking room at one point, but it did not smell like smoke. It has an exhaust fan that we thought did not work but my husband said it ran when the shower was running. Speaking of, he said the shower was VERY low flow. The towels were rough and more along the lines of what i would use for a cleaning rag or shop towel or something like that. Not bath quality.

The beds. We had a room with 2 queens as they do not have rooms with king beds. I liked the gray comforters, and the sheets were soft. A nice touch was a soft cushy gray blanket between the comforter and sheets, so it was warm, which was good because I like to keep the room chilly and the newer-looking heating/cooling unit worked well in that regard. Each bed had 2 standard pillows. So the beds looked nice....but....

Comfort was non-existent. The queen I slept in was lumpy, my husband's bed was firm. Both of us had sore backs this morning. It was difficult for either of us to stay asleep. My bed was very noisy/creaky any time I moved. Not a good sleeping experience. New beds are in order.

My husband went down for breakfast in the morning and both pots of coffee were empty, but the desk clerk told him to come back in 5 minutes for coffee she was making. He went back in 10 and it was made but not yet poured into the pump carafes. Breakfast consisted of mini muffins and small pastries. There was powdered creamer and sugar for the coffee.

We paid $140 with tax for the room. I feel this was excessive and should have been at least $20 less, or maybe around $100. It's not a place I would recommend unless you really really REALLY need a room right there. They're *trying* but not quite there yet.

Not bad for a truck-stop motel, but I wouldn't stay again

Sadly, we chose this hotel and found it to be lacking in many ways.  The walls were paper thin.  The bed was very noisy when you moved in it and quite lumpy.  The hall way to the first room floors reeked of smoke.  The towels were threadbear.  The continental breakfast was a joke.  A gallon of whole milk and packaged oatmeal.  No fruit.

Don't stay here! Sadly, several things lacking!

The Inn is the sole motel at a major truck stop off I-90 west of Snoqualmie Pass and is a good enough house for an unrated motel,  for its location and intent ( truckers and casual travelers).  I cannot help but think that some reviewers have never actually stayed at a bad motel to give this house such  poor reviews. Moving on- this motel has both smoking and non-smoking rooms and so the public areas have some light oder. But our non smoking room had no  smell to it- so not a big deal. The lobby is plain and while it took a couple of minutes to find the clerk, checkin was otherwise efficient. The room and bath was small, clean and fully operational with a refrigerator, but no microwave or coffee service. Inexpensive, mismatched furniture, a tiny piece of art and a mirror are the decor. There is a tiny flatscreen TV with lots of channels. The internet is fast and complementary. The beds and linens were fair, but the pillows need replacing. The bath had a good shower with lots of hot water, good toiletries, but tiny thin towels and two glass glasses. The room had a good HVAC system.  The lobby had coffee, donuts, snacks and some fruit for breakfast- sort of a minimum continental experience.  There is a good diner and a Popeyes chicken across the street and all the gas stations you could want.  As they are without competition, the rate is little higher than the house warrants, but with typical discounts it was acceptable for the purpose at hand.
