This review is based on the fact it is a Rodeway In and not the Ritz, if that is what you are expecting you will be disappointed. However they have always made me feel welcome, the rooms are clean, they have refrigerators and microwaves and best of all for me they have smoking rooms available. I travel in this area frequently for business and this is where I will always stay.

Works for me!

This facility is currently being remodeled. The interior and exterior of the hotel is a real mess. They seemed to take little care in presenting themselves better. There was plaster and debris scattered everywhere. On the positive side, the room itself, though outdated, was clean and fairly quiet. 


A real mess

We stayed at this hotel as a last minute decision because we had a wedding to go to the next day. I booked the hotel less than a week when we needed it and got the last “Queen Sized Room” BUT it was smoking. When we arrived I was told by the front desk our room was smoking which I knew prior to booking, I’m glad they kindly reminded us of this & even offered to spray to help mask the smell if it was to strong for us non-smokers. When we entered our room I was disappointed to find NOT a Queen sized bed, but a full. As well the room was very neglected to say the least, outlets missing covers, molding cracking and poor paint, as well as spiderwebs in numerous places. I figured since it had a breakfast that’d make up for the pungent smoke smell we had to deal with in our room & area of hotel. However the breakfast was let’s say “mediocre” at best. They offered cereal in tiny bowls, toast & bagels & the highlight a waffle maker. I would hope at the least some eggs and type or meat to offer, but I guess not. I suggest if you can afford it say elsewhere, as the only decent thing about the hotel was the helpful front desk workers.

You get what you pay for... listen to everyone else unlike me..

We stayed at this place for one night for a baseball tournament. We had six rooms total and not a single family was satisfied. The pool area was decent and the staff allowed us to prop the door open and hang out outside while the kids were swimming - this was one of the only good things about this place. Some of the rooms are smoking rooms which makes the entire place smell bad. Some rooms had microwaves and fridges, some didn't. The beds weren't comfortable and the temperature in the room was difficult to regulate. The breakfast wasn't good - the kids liked having the 'make your own waffle' but there was little beyond that. A lot of the guests at this hotel are actually residents and they were not happy with people having fun. Overall, I definitely not recommend staying here. Driving a bit further and paying a bit more would have been a better option.

You get what you pay for - do NOT recommend.

The breakfast is horrible. On one day the cleaning personal pimp your room and change towels. You must go to reception for new towels. On all rooms there a something damage. The waterpressure on the shower is bad.
i was here for 3 weeks and the pool was closed all time.
You have a freezer and a microwave on room.
Good things: friendly staff, fast wifi, cheap

First stayed there 4 nights. Had to ask to get the room 
cleaned. Did not get it until 3rd night. 

Breakfast. had very little left. Tampico was the juice and on 2nd day
that was out

the Quality Lodge doesn't promise to be the Hilton, but it makes the best of Not being one of the "big players" in town. small, cozy with a warmish, wooded lobby motif... they must be trying to get noticed. very clean and with a resort-like flavor... quite comfortable, sure.

unlike far too many other motels/hotels, the QL front desk seems willing to listen, to accommodate... and might even engage in some aimless chit-chat to round out the pleasantries. their "guest-first" style surely helps makes the stay more than just a 
sign-in-and-get-forgotten experience. 

rooms are large enough (not huge), the indoor swim is warm enough (slightly cool), and the place is definitely quiet enough. there are a pool table and video-game machines (albeit in need of screen-display tune-ups) downstairs, and the included basic continental breakfast is a welcome touch. --the internet?!? hooRay!! QL's free wiFi actually connected solidly, reliably... pretty much every time. now, is that a motel rarity or what...!?

nicely situated on state street (Business 20), it's at the edge of where the stores, shops and eateries start multiplying like crazy... --yet near theLodge, vehicle traffic is still uncongested, and foot-traffic minimal. possibilities for a great variety of food, shopping and services starts as you drive eastward. why, it's just a 3-min walk to mcDonalds....

here's one low-key, nicely-decked-out kind of place... that works. (!) --surprising these days in an inexpensive overNighter... expect reasonable daily or weekly rates... making it well worth a stay of any length.

[finally, for the reviewers who claimed "nightmare" and "disgusting," et. al., we have to ask why they checked-in in the first place. --could hav headed for the Hampton, et. al. @ 110$+ a night.... but here's the real puzzler: the (same photos for all of them! and) reviews are so off the mark... we wonder: Did They Actually Stay at the Quality Lodge? (??!)]
