*New Ownership doing an amazing total remodel* Right on the water with a great low traffic location makes this perfect for a fishing or relaxing get a way with friends or family. The pier is amazing, in great condition and many lights which allowed us to fish very late into the night. New ownership seems to have thought of everything with the remodel which makes this the place to stay in Rockport. Seems that everything is brand new! New paint, new floors, new beds, new smart TVs, new coffee maker in each room, turtlebox in each room, new fridge in the room and more! They have soap/shampoo in each shower and the best towels. Sheets are very soft and comfortable. This remodel along with a great pier and right on the water is the perfect combo for a great stay!

New Ownership Remodel Makes This the Must Stay Hotel 

Nice ambiance near the wharf a bit rickety, but with character.  The only drawback was the previous guests must have chain smokers and it seemed to be that there was spurm on the bed sheets. Needless to say I slept on top of the covers.

Authentic Legendary Texas Gulf Coast.

Reel Em Inn is the perfect fisherman’s place to stay.  There are several charcoal grills, outside seating on a grass roofed patio and it’s across a small quiet street from the water.  There’s a very long and well maintained private pier.  

Our room was a bit rustic, the floor was tiled and the room is not fancy, but it was very clean, comfortable, and quiet.  Given the proximity of a lot of sand, the tile floor made perfect sense.  The coffee maker was a 12-cup like you have in your kitchen, and the refrigerator was full sized.  

The queen beds were very comfortable.

Fisherman’s Special

The cleaning lady brought us towels and had a very very poor attitude. We stayed in room 23. The room was on a slant and the tv was bad and no vent in the bathroom. Bed sheets felt dirty and beds were on a downhill slope, so me and my buddies woke up with a bad headache.

Terrible service

We stayed in Unit 21.  We love the Reel 'em Inn.  Small, clean and cold AC and we love the pier.  A lot of good places to eat close by  The only thing lacking was the silver ware was sparse.  We just grabbed some plastic ware from HEB.


Always a good time!

We just got married a week ago and decided to have a mini-moon before I started back to school! We were very happy with the room and atmosphere!! I have stayed here previously but this was a first for my husband!! Never disappoints!! 

Always love our stays!

The actual building seems to be very old, but they are well maintained.  We stayed for a 5 days and when we got there the room was nice and clean.  Great view of the bay.  Only thing is they don't come and change your towels daily so you have to bring your own if staying a while.   Also because of the hurricane that past a few weeks ago the pier was only 1/2 the size of what it used to be, but was told by the cleaning folks that they are already in the process of rebuilding it.

I haven't visited this establishment in 6 years and have to say, the new owners have really done a great job remodelling and maintaining this old fish camp. My son and I limited out on speckled trout and many other fish. The cabin was amazing and comfortable. I've been a customer here for 30 years back into the old Balboa Courts day. Great job guys, I'll continue to visit when I can.

Weekend Get-Away

I stay here every time I go to Rockport. It's only about 5-7 minutes from the quiet, clean Rockport beach. The fishing pier on the property is my favorite part, especially at night. It's a great place to take the family and very pet friendly.

My favorite place to stay in Rockport

I love this property, very small but has everything you could want.  Love the pier, barbecue pits and tables in front and the view is awesome.  The owner of the property is very nice and helpful too.  Will definitely book again.
