As frequent travelers, we have experienced the usual ups and downs of various hotel chains.  

About two years ago we booked this hotel and had a “terrible” one star experience.  We were convinced by the many many positive reviews to try it again for two nights this week.   

Our five star experience began with the clear and complete communication from Manager Steve within one day after booking.  

The communication continued and was customized as we expressed our priorities and needs ie we mentioned we were coming in after the office closed and he offered to leave a brochure  in our room with a list of restaurants if we needed dinner.  

Because of the hours of the office, there are some self check in steps you have to take and those were explained and supported with reminder  calls so we wouldn’t have any problems      

The suite was generous in size and wonderfully clean.   The pictures posted by other reviewers accurately show you the suite we were in.  The price very reasonable.  

Friendly helpful staff, generous sized suites, immaculately clean rooms, comfortable beds, no bugs, reasonable rates, easy load and unloading access- We look forward to staying there again.  

Note: lots reviews talk about a rude woman in the office who customers interacted with.  Two years ago, we did too and she was awful.  When asked, the current manager explained she no longer works for the hotel and has moved on.

I tried this for the first time because the pictures looked better than the place I used to use when visiting Rocky Mount.  It was not only cheaper, but much nicer than the other place.  

The rooms (stayed there twice) were clean, nice, and large.  If something like a piece of molding not adhered right, or something small like that bothers you, then pay more and stay someplace else.  It isn't the Ritz-Carlton - but that isn't what I wanted in Rocky Mount.

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.  

There are places to eat and shop in shopping areas about a mile from the motel.  

I will definitely book them again from now on when I have reason to need a place to sleep in Rocky Mount!!!

Great Place - reasonable cost !!

Affordable Suites was a perfect option during my North Carolina road trip, in which I really wanted the option of a full kitchen... Check-in was a breeze, the area was safe (albeit not particularly central) and the room was large, clean and comfortable. Helpful tip: Fred's Food Club is a block away, for cheapo groceries...
Obviously, from the pics, the inn is a bit dated in its finishes... but knowing this, you get what you pay for... and the pricing is certainly within reason. I was a bit bummed that there is no ice machine on the premises... while the icemaker in the room did not function... Also a little weird to be asked to take my own trash out... but these are tiny complaints. I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Clean... with FULL KITCHEN!

I was looking forward to another stay here on my way from CT to FL.  I feel like this place is like a home away from home. The manager Nick couldn't be nicer and made my visit another 5 star stay.  The suite is exceptionally clean which is most important to me and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby.  I'll definitely stop here on my way back. -Glen

This facility provides extended-stay units with all the amenities you will need. 

Nick, the general manager, provides excellent customer service, and I recommend calling him once you have booked.

The area is quiet, with easy access to highways 64 and 95.

Nice Lodgings

To be honest,I was a little apprehensive at first due to the price. And it being  somewhat of a residence Inn.And before I knew about the “niche” style, when I called and Nick told us if we couldn’t get there by 7 he would run our info and leave the keys and a copy of the contract in the box outside the office. Upon arrival at the office (10 minutes early) we were greeted by Nick- the on-site manager- and were well taken care of he was able to accommodate us with our requests, I needed a first floor due to recent surgery. He explained everything to us and we actually locked the office door on the way out to our room, it was 7pm when we finished the paperwork. When we got there I can only say wow, it exceeded any expectations I had for sure! It was clean and very spacious actually two rooms both big enough to be a studio apt.s.Everything needed to be there was there except food. Utensils, plates , pots and pans. Even paper towels and dish soap. The furnishings are somewhat dated but comfortable nonetheless. Central air for each room so no loud, obnoxious window unit working all night, just like being at home. I would recommend staying here not only for the price but the total package. Both home runs!!!

I found my stay here was beyond expectations. The room and bathroom were very clean and I care about cleanliness more than amenities. Nothing was in disrepair and the  room was quiet and comfortable. The owner/manager went above and beyond and was pleasant and accomidating. I travel 4x a year between CT and FL and will make this my go to hotel since it's my halfway point. I gave it five stars, because it was 5 stars on everything that is important to me. -Glen

Suprisingly Excellent - tried it because of the high reviews

The room was very spacious. Ended up getting upgraded and it was very nice and comfortable. The Wifi works great. Area is full of shopping, food, and convenient to almost everything. The Resident Manager was very welcoming and had great customer service!

Spacious & Clean

The suites is like apartment. Bedroom, bathroom, full kitchenette and living room. It's clean and quiet and the staff is very friendly. You can usually park right in front of your room. It is near everything. The mall and plenty of restaurants. Also if you want to do your own cooking plenty of grocery stores. I will stay here every time I come to Rocky Mount, and happy to recommend to all of my friend.

Like being home!

We had to leave our boat in Charleston and head north before Irma hit. While traveling on 95 started looking for a refuge. Affordable suites of America had good reviews, so we headed off road to talk to Resident Manager, Helen Snyder.
She was so ki d and understanding and found us a place to stay. It was everything we had hoped for, clean, comfortable and room to unwind, also a full kitchen for all our food and a place to cook. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thanks Helen for taking such good care of us.
