Just wish they still had hot tub. Clean and comfortable beds. Nice staff.  Stayed here 10years ago. Nothing has changed but it's not outdated.  Beds are soft and hotel is clean.  Very please with the quality and it is so reasonable in price.

Excellent and affordable

Checking in, the clerk gave us the room card for the door.  Upon entering the room, I noticed the door to the adjacent room was opened.  I tried the lock the door and the dead bolt would not secure in the door jam.  Went down and told the lobby clerk.   The clerk put us in another room on the third floor.    Entering the elevator, pressed number 3 and did not work.   Made another trip down the front lobby and told the clerk.   He had to manually reset the elevator to make it work.   Arrived in our room, turned on the TV.  Guess what, the TV did not work.  Tried to call the desk clerk on the room phone and it did not work.  Now it’s third trip down to the lobby clerk.   Lobby clerk had to reset the TV box.   The room phone just did not work.  I would not stay at this place again.   It needs repairs and updating.   The only positive note, the staff was friendly.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly and knowledgable front desk staff. Priscilla went out of her way to go to her car and let me use her phone charging cord. THAT'S SERVICE!   Great friendly customer service!

Great place!

We were going to spend the night in Jacksonville, Al; however, because the NASCAR race in Talladega, no rooms were available.  Hampton Inn had a couple left at $308 per night.  NOT ME.  Anywho, we stopped in Rome at stayed at Comfort Suites.  Having stayed there before, we knew the rates were quite reasonable and overall, is very clean.  Folks working there, especially the black lady around 2100 hours (that's 9 o'clock), she is a sweetie.

Return trip from AL

This is a budget type hotel. Choice rewards app is always great. You save 20% by being a member and I booked through them because it was cheaper than at the front desk. The pool is closed right now. The hotel was clean and better yet, the staff is so nice. Christine & Doreen at the front desk were efficient and so friendly. Thanks for having such great customer service!

Clean & great staff

very clean hotel, the lady named "priscilla" was very nice while checking us in. The breakfast staff was extremely nice although the breakfast was just kinda "blah", although its hard to complain when its free. Definitely a great place for an overnight stay

Great place for overnight stay

Check-in was quick and easy. Priscilla at the front desk had a long line and was very efficient and friendly. The room was very clean and inviting, and the bed was extremely comfortable! I will stay here again the next time I am in Rome. The breakfast was much better than your average hotel breakfast, and they keep it open until 10:00 a.m. Also, check-out is at noon, an hour later than most hotels. This was needed for this trip and very appreciated!

Great place for an overnight stay!

Stayed here for a week for a soccer camp in the area.  While we did encounter some issues, the staff really was upfront, friendly and willing to help.  
CONS:
*Out of service elevator for much of our stay, not a deal breaker we were on the second floor and try to limit our use of elevators in general.  We were advised of this at check-in and were told we could cancel our reservation with no penalty (nice they gave us the option).
*Limited to no wifi.  I know you are thinking you are on vacation, you don't need it but sadly we did for work commitments.  We were not the only patrons that experienced this problem.  Apparently it was a bigger issue and the internet service provider was on site at least during our stay to remedy the problem. 
*Fitness center with broken fitness equipment.  Yes, at least they have one on site, but it is in need of updated, working equipment.
*No ice on the second floor, not a deal breaker but a pain to have to go up or down daily for ice.
PROS:
*Our room was clean as was the breakfast area, pool, fitness center, and laundry facility.
*Staff is friendly, welcoming, and interactive.
*Terri at the breakfast buffet was attentive, friendly and kept after things even at the busiest of times.
*Suite had plenty of room for a week's stay.
*Location was great, quiet but close to what we needed; restaurants, shopping, etc.
Overall, if we return to area, would likely stay here again.  Please note, after our stay, all of issues were addressed by the manager.  Under new management recently.  She personally reached out to us and they are really committed to making their customers stay a good experience and are working hard to do so.  

Adequate, friendly staff, improving

Good enough value and stay at this hotel. The "suite" was small for a suite so keep your parties to 4 small people recommended. Continental b-fast avg. Powdered eggs I'm guessing?? Lacked variety of fresh fruit. Ran out of bananas early on. AC unit did not "C" or condition very well. Felt very wet and damp in our room the whole time. Very average. The older woman running the b-fast bar was very nice and worked hard to stay on top of an unexpected heavy and hungry crowd.

Very Average -

There was a problem with the hot water.  It was fixed pretty darn quick that I didn't even notice it.  During checkout the bill was adjusted to accompany any inconvenience.  They have waffles in the morning!   Restaurants were nearby.   It was safe and clean.  Everyone that worked there was very nice.
