After researching the options I decided Thai was the only place I’d consider staying in Rome, and I was not disappointed. Lovely old home, friendly owner, good breakfast. 

The house has lots of character, as well as some quirks. Every room is different. We picked the Magnolia room which has a cute indoor garden in the bathroom. 

A little hard to book: their website requires you to book two nights (we needed only one) and the phone isn’t always answered, but it was worth it.

Only place worth staying in Rome, Ga

Food is very good, the stuffed French toast was amazing.  Especially liked the old Victorian bathtub, bigger than modern ones for a truly relaxing soak.  Staff were very helpful.  Overall comfortable stay

Historic charm

The Claremont is a beautiful, old Victorian home that feels very welcoming. Chris and Holly go all out to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The food is very good and the accommodations are comfortable and very unique. The house has such great character it's pleasant to just sit in one of the comfortable chairs and read or catch up with friends.

We were on our way here, drove by this beautiful old home & I said "Look at this place!".  Imagine how happy I was when we turned the corner & found out it was our B&B.  The interior of this home is amazing - absolutely beautiful woodwork, ceilings, light fixtures, flooring, etc.  Be sure to check out the flooring in the dining rooms.  The breakfast was very good & it was a pleasure to have Holly join us to share information on the city.  The exterior needs a bit of work as can be expected in a home of this age; overlook that & enjoy yourself.  One thing we truly appreciated is this is a pet-friendly property.  We love staying at B&B's and it is hard to find those that accept pets.

Great interior, pleasant hostess

I would give this a zero for customer service and that is all I am able to rank. My family was traveling to Rome to include our college age son in my husband's 50th birthday celebration. I thought it would be fun to stay here rather than in a traditional hotel. I called and left a message, no response. I also emailed, no response. We stayed at our usual hotel which was fine, but it is unfortunate that there was no way for me to reach someone to discuss staying here due to lack of response. Looks like it could be a nice play to stay if you can ever get anyone to call you back.
