What a bargain! With skyrocketing $$ on Long Island this is a hidden gem. Older style hotel/motel, room was very large, clean and fresh linens. Front desk staff courteous and helpful. Regrettably,  no breakfast, but plenty of places close by. Would totally recommend Rodeway Inn MacArthur Airport.

Great room for the $$

While I've stayed at Choice Hotels before, this was my first time at a Rodeway Inn. I picked it based on the location and their price. I had been staying at a Comfort Inn about 15 minutes away and the price was at least double what I paid for a 1 night stay on a Saturday night.

The site had plenty of signs of wear, but was definitely clean. The personnel were friendly and efficient from start to finish, although the 24 hour desk personnel speak to you from what looks like a bullet proof glassed in area. This is not a comforting first look since most rooms are on the first floor (my room was on the first floor) with just the bolt between you and the outside world.

That being noted, this no frills stay met all my needs. The heat and water pressure were great. The one light blanket may seem inadequate, but truly it was fine. I was well rested and refreshed before heading out the next morning. That's really all I was looking for. 

BTW, the neighborhood seemed just fine. The people around me were relatively quiet. I don't know why the office staff is so utterly sealed away. B-) 

No Frills but Met All my Basic Needs

King size bed smoking room,  bedspread had cigarette hole burns. Toilet does no flush, not enough soap and toilette, no coffee maker in room. 

No Contenial  breakfast, no gym. False advertisement,  need to..

Rodeway Inn - Terrible looks are deceiving

Stayed here because it was close to a wedding we were attending. Room was smaller than average big chain hotels but not really an issue for us. Had a king size bed  in a non-smoking room that was actually soft and not hard as most hotel beds normally are.  Room was clean and on 1st floor which was nice.  Room also came with a microwave and refrigerator which was great for the leftovers we had.  No iron or coffee maker but again, wasn't an issue for us but if you needed one, the room didn't have it. The breakfast area was closed to COVID which we had expected. Felt like we were in a safe area. Check in/out staff people were friendly & helpful.

Great hotel for what we needed

The room where ok and clean. The people stying there were nasty. I ask for an non smoking room. It was nothing but smoked smell. Bath dirty. My kid was hard to sleep because because the cigarettes smell. And I’m pretty sure people are dealing drugs here.

This is the worst place ever

To say thank you again for your efforts in providing what no other establishment in the area can in many respects. Safe and clean, without riff raff that all other places seem to attract. I put that credit to Sheena and her staff.

Shena, Christine, and Sid were very, very accommodating.  I would have given this a "5" but there were some little issues with the room not bad enough that I wouldn't stay there again.  Cleaning people were also very helpful.

My Opinion

Sheena and all of the staff are always attentive and happy to accommodate. The grounds ar kept clean,. The breakfast food has good choice, and is kept clean at all times with someone attending to making sure the next guest has the same experience as the first of the morning guest. One special note, you will not see any riffraff or illegal activities, special measures above and beyond the cctv system are in place to insure this does not happen. You feel safe any time of the day or night.

Room was ok - old - but clean.  Clientel not so much.  lots of running and shouting in the halls during the night.  Strange smell - not put, not cigarettes or cigars, only thing we could figure is that someone or several people were doing meth.   Got up in the morning to shower and no hot water!   just horrible!!

Room scented in an attempt to classify as non-smoking.  Worn out rugs in need of cleaning, stains on ceiling, burned out light in bathroom,  phone repaired by maintenance jiggling the wires.  Poor desk service at check in, great at check out.
