We were happy that we chose the Holiday Inn Express while attending a wedding in the area. We enjoyed a luxurious bed with velvety soft sheets, a peaceful view of the river from our own private balcony and a very accommodating and friendly staff.  On our way out of town we grabbed some amazing coffee at Cascades Coffee (2 minutes away) which hit the spot and added an exclamation point to a great stay!

A great hotel choice in Roseburg!

Brand new, clean and wonderful stay. I wish I could have stayed for more than one night, the room was so spacious and clean. 

I was on the freeway side and it was windy, with the wind making noise during the night, however, it was similar to a. noise machine and it did not detract from my getting a good night's sleep. 

Stay here - you will be glad you did.

Clean and new!

On our way to Crater Lake.   Found this nice, quiet Holiday Inn Express.   A slight smell of burning wood in the air, but the hotel is spotless!

 The pool area is sunlit and clean.   Gorgeous little patio, creekside.

Nice little hotel.  Beautiful view in back.

There are 2 hotels on the river in Roseburg, and we stayed in both on this trip, for an overnight coming and going. Holiday Inn is the more expensive of the two, and it is a lot newer. We asked for and got the top floor, and had a great view of the river, the cityscape, and the hills. Most rooms have a balcony with table and chairs. There is also a ground-level outdoor area with seating. There is a large breakfast area with the usual full hotel breakfast of pre-prepared hot food, plus an intriguing make-your-own pancake machine. The room was clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. You can get plenty of fresh air by leaving the door open, but it does not have a screen, and the window does not open. We solved the bug problem by keeping the door closed until we turned out the lights, then opened the door to get fresh air during the night. Plenty of free parking in well-lit parking lot. Roseburg is not particularly walkable, so be prepared to drive to get to any restaurants or shopping.

Comfortable overnight stay

This was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip. Spacious and clean bedroom and bathroom with a surprise door out to a small deck area where one can sit and admire the amazing river views. Staff were extremely polite and one felt very welcome. Handicap and service dog friendly. Beds very comfy. Will definitely visit again on our travels. 

Impressive clean, modern and friendly hotel.

Wow, I never expected a Holiday Inn to be this nice. All of the rooms (I think) overlook the river. We had a nice corner one with a terrace. The room itself was spacious, well appointed with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, a bathtub, and super comfortable beds and pillows. The amenities include an indoor swimming pool with warm water, a large outdoor jacuzzi, and a gym. The free breakfast was very good and included pancakes, omelettes, sausage and warm cinnamon rolls. I would definitely stay here again.

All-around great hotel

We rented three rooms for three nights over the Thanksgiving holiday.  Because we have family in the area, we have had many Roseburg stays in many hotels and this was among the best. Clean, spacious, updated rooms. Phenomenal beds. Great water pressure in the shower!!(We're from California). The river view was lovely and the backdoor actually opened to a small balcony...fresh air option is always appreciated. Room entry was from an outdoor hallway, which I thought would be noisy, but wasn't, despite the hotel being quite full. Reasonable rates for dogs & a decent, hot breakfast. What's not to love? We will be back.

Clean, comfortable, quiet...and a wonderful river setting.

Tried two other hotels and was turned away as they were booked solid. Drove 10 Minutes to the wonderful Gem! Had a King bed room with a balcony and river view. It was so nice seeing the lights of town we kept the shades open was so cool to see at night. The bed was so comfortable !!!! Water pressure in shower great and room was kept perfectly cooked with AC. We LOVED this place and would love to stay here again!!

Loved it!

This appears to be an older hotel that has been renovated. The room size was ok and it was clean. It was a bit noisy, probably due to its age, but not excessively so.  The hotel did not have a “pantry” just vending machines. They had a decent, well stocked breakfast and the staff was helpful. There is easy access to the freeway.
