Nice place, had issues with the water in the first lodge unit. However when I checked with the desk, they were quick with a fix, upgraded us to a cabin and the rest of the stay was great. Certainly consider the little extra per night for the cabin over the lodge units. The cabin was clean, cute , had gas fireplace on timer that was really nice has you could have it on going to bed and it shut itself off after you went to sleep. Good location

Great cabin, good location

We have stayed there many times and liked it a lot, and had recommended it to others, but had not been in couple years due Covid etc. we were disappointed. TV was only Roku, therefore nothing local, so we missed Dallas Cowboy game plus no local programming! The cooktop in kitchen had the large burner not working I reported it first thing Friday morning and was assured someone would fix it , but it was not fixed then. We were there til Sunday morning and it still was not fixed. Also there were only two coffee cups and one had a crack and big chip. I reported it same time and they did bring 2 new cups. So all in all we were not real happy with our stay.  The grounds were not near as taken care of as they always had been

Disappointed

We stayed in lodge 111 with our dog. It was just as pictured, very clean although smelling heavily of simple green, which I have a bit of an allergy to. Housekeeping immediately responded & fixed the issue. Very happy with our stay, located close to hiking and restaurants

Close to restaurants, quiet

We stayed in the lodge, has a small kitchen with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, toaster oven and 12 cup coffee maker.  Bed was nice, great water pressure, watch out for the not water, the water is very hot!   The lodge is also pet friendly.

Only con was the TV.  it is a Roku TV and if you do not have accounts, you are very limited on what you can watch.  

The office is off-site, few blocks away.  Make sure you get directions to the office before you go. 

Will stay here again. 

Nice place in the mountains

We had stayed in the lodge rooms on a few other occasions, but chose to stay in one of the cabins this time...great choice.  We liked the lodge rooms, but really liked the cabin.  Making plans to return in the fall and hoping that one of the cabins is available.

WE RESERVED TWO QUEEN BEDS, RECEIVED 1 KING. THE HOTEL AND THE WEBSITE FALSLEY ADVERTISE A HOT TUB ON PREMISES, THIS WAS THE ONLY REASON I BOOKED MY STAY WITH THE HOTEL.  WHEN WE ASKED ABOUT THE HOT TUB THEY SAID "WE REMOVED THAT FROM OUR WEBSITE" WHICH WAS UNTRUE.  THERE ARE SIGNS ON THE PREMISES THAT ALSO STATE THEY HAVE A HOTTUB.  LASTLY, AND WORSTLY, THERE WAS BLACK MOLD IN THE SHOWER THAT WAS UNSUCCESFULLY PAINTED OVER.  ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING, I'M ONLY SORRY I DIDN'T NOTICE UNTIL MY FINAL SHOWER AND BY THEN I JUST WANTED OUT OF THE ROOM.  I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANY OF MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS.

NOT WORTH $160 PER NIGHT

Great location, quaint cabin, clean and tidy, with good features (mini-kitchen), jet tub, and we loved the fireplace.  Online pictures were accurate.  The staff was outstanding in terms of responding to a couple of glitches we had with the fireplace and WiFi.  Despite the February visit, it was not a completely quiet spot - we could hear traffic going by during the night.  Also know that this is a MOUNTAIN CABIN - NOT a Ritz Carlton.  It was exactly the level of accommodations we expect to have in small mountain town.  Specifically, the sheets and towels are clean and completely functional, but not of the topmost quality, if you're expecting a she-she hotel experience - think rustic & you'll be happy.  The pillows and bed were soft - I'd definitely bring my own pillow next time.  We were glad we brought our own shampoo, conditioner & soap because they supplied liquid soap and shampoo in the shower, but no conditioner.  All that said, we would stay there again for sure.  

Great Mountain Accommo

The cabin amenities are nice but the cleanliness makes this cabin not worth the money. There are plenty of places to select from in town so we recommend looking for something more well kept. Hair in the towels, used dip can and other trash on the kitchen floor, mold in the tub, dog nose slobber all over the living room windows, ceiling fan blades are filthy, the couch is falling apart, the kitchen sponge was used and dirty, there are multiple light bulbs missing or burned out, and the guest ice machine was out of ice.

Lack of cleanliness makes this place not worth it.

Second time staying here.  I love the location, secluded but close to shopping.  We had our doxie with us and stayed in a cabin.  You’re pretty much on your own, no housekeeping unless you ask, and you’ll need to wash your own dishes and remove your trash.  Soap and shampoo dispenser in the tub/shower (huge 2 person tub), otherwise no toiletries.  Plenty warm with the electric fireplace.  No issues with the WiFi.  I’d be happy to stay again.

Quiet and relaxing

Though we aren’t regulars, it’s only because we go to Ruidoso every other year. We are never disappointed with our stay here. Quiet location in the pines, yet close to downtown for shopping and meals. Easy to get to. Love the comfort and at home feeling. As long as we can travel, this will be our go to place in Ruidoso.
