I have frequented the Edgewater Inn many times over the years.  I always enjoy my stay at the Edgewater Inn.  The entire staff is a pleasure. 
My late afternoons on the back "porch" are so peaceful and great place to enjoy the sunset.  I look forward to another visit later in the year!

Home away from home

We loved our stay! Breakfast was wonderful! Sunset view is amazing! Location to downtown is perfect! Beds are comfortable and patio is great to sit out on! Rooms were clean and had a small fridge for beverages and a Keurig but breakfast area had coffee and drinks also.  Staff was very friendly. We would stay again!

Easter trip

Location, location, location. Right across the bridge from all that Old Town has to offer. The Inn was an older physical building. The waterfront deck off the room with sunset views of the city made up for any problem with the age of the building. The staff were extra friendly and very helpful in planning our time in St. Augustine. The breakfast buffet was a little limited compared to big brand hotels, but being served a hot breakfast on real plates was a treat. If you are expecting to stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel, this isn't the place for you. If you are like us and mainly use the hotel to sleep and shower, the staff and location of this place make it worthwhile.

Perfect for our short trip to St. Augustine

Charming old Florida motel with outstanding views of the Matanza river from the waterfront porch. Its location at the eastern foot of the Bridge of Lions is a short walk to all the Old City attractions, however, we were pleasantly surprised at the cool shops and restaurants on this side of the bridge, several within walking distance of the motel. Though the hotel exterior shows its age a bit, our room was very clean and updated with quality linens and tasteful decor. Front desk staff was excellent and the complimentary breakfast and happy hour were a nice addition.

Hidden Gem

My husband and I stayed in room 201 which is the only 2nd floor room. We had a private balcony that looked over the marina. The view was beautiful with the water, bridge, boats and dolphins! The social hour was very nice. We haven’t had breakfast yet, but it opens up soon. We recommend highly, also quick walk to town on the bridge right there.

Spectacular view and very clean updated rooms!

Comfortable bed, very clean plenty of hot water & nice big shower. It was very pleasant to be able to sit outside on the side of the water & watch the world go by.  
Good selection of hot & cold food for breakfast as well as a complimentary glass of wine & nibbles between 5 & 6.  Excellent value for money.

Small very clean hotel across the Lion Bridge. Beautiful views of old St. Augustine from our individual patio & Adirondack chairs. Delicious breakfast served each morning and every evening they have a social hour with wine & snacks.

Charming boutique hotel with amazing views 

Very clean and updated rooms. Staff excellent and friendly. Breakfast was so tasty and wonderful. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy the happy hour treat of cheese and wine. Looking over toward the busy city was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

A place to return!!

The Edgewater Inn is a renovated motel that provides all the extras for a great stay. The location is ideal. The hotel is right on the water directly across the river from historic Saint Augustine. The view from the breakfast room is probably the best in the city. The hotel provides a happy hour in the evening in a very nice hot breakfast in the morning.  We particularly enjoyed the location. It is a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants in historic district without being in the crowd of downtown.

Great Experience

Great hotel with beautiful view. Staff was very friendly and always accommodating.  Only negative was that there was some nighttime intrusion from outside music and other noises (room 101).  Friends were in room 102 & experienced nighttime noise from the room above.  We will return but will request different rooms.
