Five (5) Stars Comfort Inn at Lackland/Seaworld, San Antonio, TX

A nice hotel easy access lots of food within walking distance. Nighttime customer service needs a little bit of work. I only had one really big issue the water would not get hot so I took a lukewarm shower which was really not that pleasant to say the least.

Nice location

Check in was easy, clerk at the front was friendly and informative of restaurants and activities around us. The room we got was spacious and clean. Plenty of parking, indoor pool, gym and breakfast from 630am-930am. 

1 night stay

It was nice and quiet. Impressed with their very friendly staff. Good breakfast variety with the exception of the orange juice,  it was extremely watered down. Clean room and comfy bed. Poor wi-fi signal. 

Our stay at Comfort Inn

This was a great location for our visit to SeaWorld and also located right on the highway to continue our trip. Breakfast simplified the morning, though the offering is quite basic. The Grand Tequila restaurant was directly next door which was convenient and delicious. The price was more reasonable than surrounding hotels and rooms were clean. No complaints!

Great location

The only big negative is that I did not find the hotel's neighbors in a family friendly Seaworld environment.   The hotel was clean and breakfast average for a Comfort Inn.  Desk staff was average.  Nothing here should shock you if you are a regular Comfort Inn customer.

Average stay at Comfort Inn

We stay at Choice Hotels frequently for work and unfortunately the Comfort Inn Seaworld-Lackland does not meet expectations.  It is apparent the hotel does not have enough cleaning staff.  These ladies are obviously working very hard but just cannot keep up the demands of this size of a hotel.  The bedspread had hair all over it and what appeared to be either chocolate or blood on it when we checked in. On Friday night the front desk staff put us on the cleaning schedule for a full clean/linen change for Saturday morning (day 6 of our stay) and on Saturday the front desk said we were not on the schedule and they were too busy so it would have to wait another day. If an operational fitness center is one of the things you use to choose a hotel do not choose this hotel.  The treadmill is broken and it is not easy to use the recumbent bike without hitting your knees on the metal box the hotel installed around the console.  The TV entertainment system in the room is also subpar.  Out of the 4 or 5 different front desk staff/managers we saw during our 9 day stay only 2 were actually helpful. 

Subpar Hotel

My advice is do not stay at The Comfort Inn Lackland near Sea World. We were in town for an Air Force Basic Training graduation. Haf 3 rooms with multiple unacceptable issues. Additionally,  Kiran, the GM would not come to the phone or respond to emails. The issues were as follows (in no specific order).

1. Shower temp - no hot water and it was barely warm. 

2. There were Constant key issues and having to get reprogrammed became an annoying inconvenience. 

3. The Floor, around the fridge and under bed / bed frame etc were  extremely dirty and disgusting to the point that I could write words in this dirt. Very unsanitary. 

4. There was no extra tp / tissue in the rooms.  When I went to the front desk, I got major attitude from employees when I asked for more since i put do not disturb sign up as I don't want people in my room when I'm not there. 

5.  The "waffle girl" yelled at 1 of our guest over using wrong cup for batter. Additionally,  some of the food was used the next day instead of fresh food being prepared. 

6. The building had multiple signs all over about park at your own risk and not responsible for things in your vehicle. You couldn't see the signs unless it was daylight and you were looking for them and with no similar warning on the website or when checking in (but these signs show they know that they have a major issue). The parking lot had many people randomly roaming the lot. Our rental vehicle had things that were in there from the car owner, such as a dashcam, lockbox and other items, stolen from it which I had to pay for. The employees told us no cameras were working there and refused to help us. Additionally, the cameras in hall and smoke detectors in room were hanging off / installed poorly (can give pics) which showed total disregard for true guest safety.  

For these reasons, the total lack of care and accountability on behalf of management and more, I would highly suggest finding a different hotel to stay at.

Don't stay here!!!!

The WORST experience EVER!!!  They DO NOT care about guest safety at all! If you are a female traveling alone or with other females DO NOT go here!! I went to get a luggage cart, there weren't any so I decided to sit and wait a man was sitting there and staring at me so I was like just waiting on luggage cart he made me very uncomfortable! I decided to walk down the hall to look for one about half way down I turned around and he was following me,  so I turned and hurried to the elevator where a couple was waiting he stopped and acted like on phone.  I contacted the desk reported it and ask if someone to bring the cart up and walk us to the car because I was not comfortable, they didn't.  My husband called the hotel and they informed him that helping people out of the room was not a service they preformed?? 

DO NOT GO HERE 

This was the only place I could find considering the circumstances and just needing a place to sleep. I originally needed 2 nights to stay, but only stayed 1.

1 star is for the lady I spoke with and booked with, she was very cool and I liked her. Now to the room... This place was NOT clean. Do they even have cleaning staff? If they do, are they just getting paid to show up, go home and that’s it? The floor was dirty, couches had stains, sheets had stains, hair on the bed, hair was on the bathroom floor, hair on the side of the shower, the remote had no back to it, I couldn’t bring myself to take a shower here. Thankfully I carry sanitizing wipes, and I wiped down what I could myself. I needed to stay 1 more night and was considering it heavily. My son was hungry so I was about to warm up his food in the microwave but it was so disgusting and there was splattered food still inside. He had to eat it COLD cause we were not about to use that. That was the last straw and I had to get out of there. Never again.
