This room was lacking most of the basics: hand towels, bath mat, coffee for the coffee maker, clock radio, adequate lighting, etc.  The exposed box springs were stained, the room was suffocatingly hot with no openable window - all in all an unpleasant experience.  There are better facilities a little farther out of town.

Run, don't walk from this facility!

The strict minimum in the room. Think about taking a knife and a hood if you want to have a meal in the room. There's a large HEB area a few hundred meters away. And a fast-food restaurant across the street. You can easily get to the city center via bus line 24.

A suitable hotel

The management was friendly and helpful, the room was kept clean, large refrigerator provided, Wi-Fi was good speed, and good tv if you wanted to watch. I wouldn't recommend walking in order to get downtown, you'll go through some shady neighborhoods and it's a much further walk than Google maps makes it seem. Download the Via Via app and use public transportation. There's bus stops right across the street from the motel to take you downtown, a good priced grocery store/cvs/Walgreens a two minute's drive away, and a Little Caesars a little further than that. Bus fare is $1.20 one way, $1.35 one way with a transfer, or $4 for unlimited all day, we were able to get pretty much anywhere we wanted with no more than 1 transfer. Overall, I was very happy with the motel and staff. Enough that I intend on staying there again next year on another visit.

I was very pleased

It pissed me off . When I booked it online I paid for a clean nonsmoking refrigerated &' microwave &' also wifi .... THE ROOM SMELT LIKE SMOKE! THE RESTROOM SMELT LIKE MOLD! NO FRIDGE INCLUDED OR MICROWAVE ! There is no wife , it was 50$ on the website that I paid for and they charged me 65.00 , horrible neighborhood very very creepy!  ! I am very upset!

WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED!

We wanted somewhere cheap and close to the river walk. This place is 2 miles away and great price! We were expecting the worse as we drove in and there were tons of people hanging out in the parking lot. The layout is a little creepy as you can't really see the rooms from the road and the front "office" is awkward and small. The place looks well kept with fresh paint. Metal doors with a key entry and bolt locks. Beds are comfy and clean, tv is nice, bathroom is clean, fridge works, coffee maker and telephone. Exactly what you need for a cheap hotel!

it was Ok for one night, clean and inexpensive place to stay.
price is good, location is good, always lots of people there
the neighborhood is not very good or safe though
next time I would look for different property
