The room was dirty just plain dirty, when the ice bucket was moved there was a part of someones hair piece, absolutely disgusting Obviously the cleaners hadn’t moved the bucket to clean. I had to wipe down all the counters and surfaces with disinfectant wipes and lysol and the wipes were filthy afterwards. The vent in the bathroom was hanging off the ceiling, the shower was full of mold. The gentleman at the front desk at check in was nice however he went off shift shortly after check in. I tried calling the front desk that night and no answer. Upon check out there was nobody at the front desk. I waited for a bit and still nobody showed up. I left a note and the room key and left. I wouldn’t  recommend anyone to stay there, the place needs a thorough clean and update.

Disgusting 

The room had moldy smell as soon as I opened the door, bathroom floor trim falling off, mold behind it, mold on bathroom counter,ac not cooling good, no breakfast, not even coffee...nobody evenbinbofficecwhen I checked out..but I suppose you get what you pay for..Room is supposed to be updated..sorty crappy! One towel even had big black spot onbtowel looked liked someone wipedctheir hand on it then folded and stuffed in cubby...WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!!!

Terrible service! Ra... el is the most worthless employee ever! Very unfriendly and completely oblivious! I will never ever stay addy another 'POS 6!' EVER!!! Apparently, didn't understand about filthy rooms and is completely ignorant to customer service! I hope the manager R..s had a better answer!

Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money of a different hotel. The photos are very deceitful! We thought we were booking a nice hotel by looking at the pictures, boy we were shocked when we pulled in! Rough looking crowd in the parking lot and very small parking lot as well. The lady at check in was rude. Quickly dropped stuff in room and went to eat, came back at 10 pm and there were only 2 parking spots left, have no clue what they do when there’s nowhere left to park. Have you park on the feeder of the freeway? Can’t park next door at the apartments & you can’t park at the gas station on the other side either. The pool is out of order, in the middle of summer! The room is ok, but the tv is smashed and they left it hanging up smashed and just put a new one in front of it. The door trim is hanging off which leaves a big 1 inch gap to outside. The mini fridge is hot and last but definitely not least, the soap in the shower was used!!! I picked it up and noticed a pubic hair on it then went to open it and it was already open. Pull the soap out and you can clearly tell it was used! What kind of hotel is so sleezy and cheap that they expect you to use soap that has been on a total strangers body, including their privates. Totally unacceptable!!!

Don’t stay here!

Best price. I have stayed for a week. Room was clean. Friendly staff. Always willing to help. The rooms are renovated. Had a refrigerator and microwave. Overall, it was a nice stay. They also provided free WiFi which I didn’t had to use. The location is perfect.

Worth the price

The staff here and housekeeping is the best the front desk workers are always willing to help when in need of whatever to make sure your stay is complete. The front desk workers I've seen stop whatever they're doing to make sure that all questions from ghuest have been answered, they're very polite and I want a compliment the morning staff ladies who work very hard to make sure that everyone has a great day. Also I want a compliment the morning manager who is the best. She's always compassionate to her guest and make sure that all the time you will be respected safe and have a great day we'll love just to say thank you on behalf of our family the Rodriguez thank you thank you thank you this was truly a great summer.

Best stay

Friendly staff in the front, clean rooms and some updated, and lowest price in town!!! Fast check in and easy check out. The outside is clean as well. Housekeeping works hard and is nice. Management is usually always around to help.

Economy stay

I had a chance to visit Tx for about 2 weeks. I stay at motel 6 San Marcos for about 1.5 weeks. One day we misplaced out wallet and realized that the wallet was missing on our way to Houston. We called the front desk on our way to Houston to ask the lady about safe keeping if she finds something through the room service staff. We kept on calling her but she said that the wallet was not there as she was not informed about any wallet by the room service ladies. She said that she did check the room and there were new people in the room that we occupied.
To our surprise after about 1.5 days we came back to the San Marcos location as our sixth sense said to check the room. We were lucky that the people in the room left the room the same day. My husband visited the room to look for his wallet with the motel staff and lucky found his wallet stuck between the mattress and the head board. The wallet was placed in a way that we found that the room bed sheets were not at all removed or changed since we left and the other people came. For changing the sheet the wallet the house keeping could have easily discovered the wallet as the sheets were fitted on the mattresses. That is why the front desk was unable to get inform about the wallet from the house keeping lady. Think twice before going to San Marcos location or do the following:
Either ask the house keeping to change the sheets in front of you 
Or take your own sheets.
But then what a quality?
What do they charge you for?
In Canada the same motel is safer and cleaner than the motels other branch in the US.
At least the house keeping ladies and gents remain busy and pro active in Canada at Motel 6 Burlington.
The price was higher than what we paid in Canada as we could not get a proper price or a good deal in a short time. The Customer service was not that great in San Marcos other wise they could have given a better price at the front desk.
