My boyfriend & I stayed here for one night on the weekend 7/29/22. Visiting San Marcos for the first time, the location was great for the activities we were doing throughout the day. Upon arrival the room smelled. It wasn’t a really bad smell but it wasn’t a clean smell either. I thought that was the only issue which I let it slide since it wasn’t bothering. The water force to shower is nice, had no trouble with the restroom. Once we got back at night time, my bf put his phone to charge & after a while when we were getting ready to go to bed, we saw an insect (cricket) on top of his phone!!! Then I kept looking around and on the carpet, along the wall there were dead rollie pollies!! Went over to check for any bed bugs but there weren’t any. I was disappointed, don’t think I will stay here again.

Great Location But Needs Better Cleaning!!!

We have always stay here at the knights Inn for the passed 10 years 5 times a year and never had a problem. Well this time we had pubes and hair in the bathtub and all over the bathroom floor we call to the front office and made a complaint and they said the manager wasnt in then the office called back and said the manager said that we can not get our money back or get our bathroom clean they said if we don't like it we can just check out. I work hard for my money like everyone else i just cant throw away money like that. I will never stay here agian..

Nasty room.. Dont Ever Stay Here

There was bugs in our room dead and alive. There was fecal matter on the bathroom walls. There was questionable matter on the main room walls. Our power went out at night so we had no A/C at night during Texas summer heat. The windows and walls are thin as well all you could hear was the cars on the highway all night! Worse experience ever! The manager was also very rude and wouldn’t even listen to my concerns without getting defensive.

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here

We went to Wimberley Market Days and stayed here the night before and the night after. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the desk clerks were nice. The only issue with this room was the road noise from Hwy. 35 but I am a light sleeper. I went to Wal-mart and purchased a small fan and slept like a baby the second night. The outside lighting is great and we felt safe. The room rate was comparable to other motels in the area. We will stay here again.

Great location and clean room

This is the worst place I have ever seen in my life.
Do not stay here unless you are blind , have no sense of smell or are completely stupid and desperate.
we booked this with Booking.com and really think they should take this off their site as it is absolutely awful.  The staff were so rude and refused to give us our money back and we also heard them being very rude and nasty to other customers for being late on arriving although their car had broke down.

so please be warned!!!!!

do not stay here ever !!!!!!

We came to Austin for SXSX Festival and San Marcos was the closest place for rooms.  We stayed at the Knights Inn and really enjoyed our stay. The rates were reasonable and the rooms were great.  We are going back in July to go shop and go to river and will be staying here again.

Best Location and Price

Rooms were clean and comfortable and hotel staff was friendly. Short walk from the river/local restaurants and a few miles from outlets. Parking lot and pool area were well lit and viewable from room.

Clean, Comfortable, and Perfect Location

It was a terrible hotel, and we couldn't stay because when we entered the room and saw the beds had little bugs and we said to the manager (by the way an indu y no spoke Spanish) and he told us that he couldn't do anything and only returned us the payment of a night, we left the A/C taken and we went to another hotel.
