Off-street parking included! After several visits to Santa Fe, with stays at places ranging from national chains to the more exclusive hotels near the Plaza, I’ve finally found the perfect place, Casa de Tres Lunas. It’s just a couple of blocks east of the Plaza on the Paseo de Peralta, so super-convenient to both the old town, Canyon Road and Museum Hill on the east side, and an easy drive to the newer west side.

The ’Casa’ is basically a group of casitas clustered around a small courtyard. I stayed in the Half Moon, which had a queen-sized bed, wet bar with fridge and microwave, and a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Décor is a bit on the Santa Fe rustic side, which is much more relaxing to me than a sterile national chain. 

Bernard, the manager, was available with information, and, when there was a bit of construction noise (which hadn’t bothered me at all so I’d never complained), he arranged for a bag of locally made chocolates to appear at my door with a very kind note of apology for the noise and appreciation for my patience.

BTW, the bathroom is equipped with grab bars in both the shower and commode areas for guests with stability issues.



Location, location, location, and......

Great location - walking distance to everything in the historic downtown.    The room is well furnished.   Nice TV in the room.  It appears to be designed to have no contact with the owners or staff.   There is self check-in and check-out.  There is no housekeeping provided.  Parking is provided across the street.   We would stay here again if visiting Santa Fe. 

Great Location

Very comfy and well equipped rooms.  Only critique is getting the heating and cooling right.  Can get too hot and blows right on you. Votherwise, highly recommend.  Great location to downtown  but quietly put of the hubhub.

Because of the great reviews, we booked 5 nights at Casa de Tres Lunas. I was looking forward to the stay but our room wasn't facing the private courtyard. Instead it was in another building and faced out to the busy, noisy thoroughfare, Paseo de Peralta. The minute you'd open your door, you were on the street. So we weren't able to enjoy any sort of quiet chill-time or see random guests in the courtyard unless we walked over to the area. It's not far of course but it wasn't ideal being isolated.

The room was large with a nice king bed but the bedding was, in all honesty, terrible. It was truly like sleeping on plastic sheets, which we think they were... unfortunately not a pleasant experience. The blanket was thin and there wasn't another available in the room for coziness.

Perhaps rooms facing the courtyard are better, so my recommendation is to research and consider those bungalows for Casa de Tres Lunas.

Outstanding!!!  Wife and I loved the perfect location to the Plaza (a very short walk).  Extremely immaculate and quiet. Safe/secure parking.

Strong suggestion to have a staff member on site, or immediately available via telephone, on weekends and holidays.  We called the provided phone number on a weekend.  Had to leave a message that unfortunately did not receive any response.  

We would absolutely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Great Place!  Great Location!

I canceled my reservation within the timeframe for a full refund.   They charged my credit card for the full amount when the reservation was made.    It has been 30 days and I have not received a refund.   I was told that my reservation was too old to put the refund back on my credit card and that I would receive a check.

Still No Refund

A warm, inviting room with lots of character and was tastefully decorated.  Much attention to detail and amenities.  Nice linens and a comfortable bed.  A kiva if you want a fire.  Five minute walk to museums. It felt luxurious for a very reasonable price.

This is a lovely to stay close to the heart of Santa Fe

If you're looking for an expensive hotel room close to Santa Fe, this is your place. If you're looking for a hotel that's inviting, clean and has a comfortable bed to sleep in, you will want to continue looking. 

Here are my concerns - trying to access the owner was not an easy task!  I was instructed to call a week prior to arrival to confirm our reservation, however, the owner never returned my call. It took me calling back until he answered to make contact with the owner. Previous reviews stated this and I should  have move on at that point but didn't. When I did  talked to the owner, he told me the key pad lock wasn't working and would have a key in the door lock. Previous reviews stated the rooms are outdated and needed of some repair, once again I should have moved on with my search but didn't. The bathroom area was dirty with many spiderwebs. 

When I arrived, I wasn't able to remove the key from the lock. I called the owner asking  for help. After explaining  to him that it wasn't working, he reluctantly came to the room for assistance.  

As for the room - the bed frame was uneven which made it not comfortable for a good night sleep. Also, the wall heater was right above the top of the bed, noisy and never turned off.

I ended staying there just one night and moved to a hotel. While I had hoped to receive a refund for the time not stayed, this was not their policy. 

If you're looking for a good deal (cheep!), then this is your place. If you would like to have better accommodations, keep looking!

Great location but the accommodations not so great!

We have enjoyed everything about out stay. Self check in was a breeze. Our room is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location is terrific central to everything, Easy walking distance to museums, restaurants,galleries, shops etc. The parking is free and easy.

This place is a winner

Wife booked this last minute as our prior destination had to cancel due to emergency plumbing issue. We had the “honeymoon suite” even though it was a regular vacation stay. Staff was super friendly and there was “no contact check in”. This suite had full kitchen and fridge, which was great. Complementary tea and coffee. Comfortable bed. Nice tv. Close (walking distance) to the plaza where the shops and artisan booths are. Lots of local eateries in the area too. Will definitely be booking this place again on our return trip next year. Easy parking and easy to locate.
