Stayed in the king suite with queen bedroom. 
Large room with wet bar with kitchen utensils, mini fridge, wet bar, gas fireplace, large bathroom with separate vanity well stocked with several small bottles of body wash and shampoos and lots of towels. Located right on the prominade has balcony with great views.  
Kinda seems like a B&B instead of a motel. 
A little weird having to check in at another motel several blocks away tho.  Was going to write a stellar review but our last night was ruined by our inconsiderate neighbor smoking pot all night and haviing the smell fill our room. Nothing wrong with a little partying but have some consideration and do it outside as there are non smoking signs in the room. 
Maybe if they had on site managemnent ir would be better

Great- until it wasnt

Stayed here before new management took over and it was amazing. Since new management - it was a horrible experience. Got there around 6 p.m. no one at hotel location. Had to go to a different address to pick up key. 
Two of us stayed to sit with a crying baby (who was tired of being in a car). After waiting a little while, they came back and said because that person was not the EXACT person who booked the room, they wouldn't give them the key.  So, they had to drive back, get the person who actually booked the room. Drove back and still had a few issues.  Then, once we got there, we called and asked if they had us booked for two nights. The person we had just spoke with at the desk that we just talked to looked it up and said No.  You do not have a reservation for tomorrow night.  You need to check out by tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.  But then told us we had another reservation on the day after. (Thought that was a little strange, but we thought we would make the best of it), So we went further down the coast, stayed somewhere else that night and went back for the next night.  When we went to go get the key, the same person was working the same desk (same person who told us we had the reservation for that night), was there and she told us we DID NOT have a reservation for that night...that we had one for the night before.  (So, I agree with one of the other reviews that THEY DO NOT ALWAYS HONOR their RESERVATIONS.  So, no refunds, no discounts because of the confusion.  So, they got paid for 3 nights when we only stayed there 2. If it had not been so late, we would have stayed somewhere else. I did show her the reservations on my phone, and she just said...I don't know what to tell you, it wasn't me you talked to and we don't show that you have a reservation so you'll just have to pay for another night.  We know it was the same person because we asked for her name when we called.  In addition, you used to could get games for the kids to play at the front desk of the hotel, now - you have to go back to the other hotel to get any games, smores (plus you have to book that way in advance - where before you didn't). The place is still a clean place, it is on the beach, but I don't know that I will ever trust this place, which is extremely sad based on what a cute place it used to be and how awesome the staff was in the past. The cleaning staff was really nice.  The gal at the front desk also said they would never have staff at the hotel because the current ownership was making them into more rooms and that it wasn't worth keeping any kind of staff member there.   Based on everything else, this wasn't a big deal, but they said that there were robes in the room - There was one robe for 4 people. - Just thought the numbering was off. - So, do you pick and choose who gets to use the one robe or do you have to take turns?  The first room we stayed in, the beds squeaked really loud.  When you read the reviews, that says this place is amazing, most of them are from the prior management - before 2021.  Which...at that time...it was an amazing place, but not sure I will go back again based on having all the issues we experienced. - I have never left a negative review anywhere, but I thought this was important to let people know that your reservation may not be honored, and you will not get a refund back from them - so just be prepared to pay more than what you planned if you really want to stay there.

Does Not Honor Reservations and Won't Give Discounts or Refunds

Not sure why this place is only 2 stars, it’s def. At least 3.5 stars. We have stayed here with my family for two nights . I have nothing bad to say about our stay. The place was very clean, updated and the beds were super comfortable. There are two rooms and little kitchennet The view from the balcony is spectacular! Very quiet and well maintained grounds . We have arrived at Seaside late afternoon and didn’t book our place till 6 pm, the check in process was a breeze. I did use my Chase points to book it! Was only 44k for two nights!  We are well traveled family and this cute little INN was perfect for us. Don’t hesitate and book this place! You won’t be disappointed! 

Great stay! Ocean Front on the Promenade!  

The woman that checked us in complained of never going in a vacation. Always work, work, work. She then gave us a key card.  Went to the motel went to our room and another couple was in our room. Went back to get another room. Told the woman and an older lady thank God we didn't have children with us. What if the couple was having sex.  The cleaning staff were great. I made the reservation through another company. When we got home, I decided to go to our bank and find out if they cheated us. And guess what? I was confirmed at the price of $328.82; which included tax. The Inn at the Four Winds  charged us $339.39. I hope that the woman  enjoys her illegal tip! We will NEVER reserve a room again with them. No oceanview that I asked for while reserving the room! All I saw was a sand dune. Horrible stay. Beware!

Horrible!

My family and I spent the 4th of July at Seaside in 2020 at the Best Western. We had such a great time that we thought we’d do it again in 2021 in style - so we picked Inn of the Four Winds.  Online, it looked really nice. We booked it almost a year out to guarantee the room. We provided our credit card and got an email showing our room was booked. We told everyone we knew about our upcoming adventure and we were so excited.

A week before our stay we received an email indicating revised hours for check in and that they were looking forward to seeing us soon.  On July 3rd, 2021, we packed the car early in the morning and drove 2 hours to the coast. We spent the afternoon on the beach, playing frisbee and digging holes. At about 4pm, I went to the lobby to check in. I walked into the lobby and let the attendant know that I was checking in. The first thing she said was, “No, we don’t have anyone checking in today.”  I pulled up the confirmation on my phone and handed it to her. She looked really quick in the system and said that it was cancelled. I told her it wasn’t because I received no communication as such and that I received the email earlier in the week preparing me for my stay. She said that was just an automated system communication and didn’t mean anything. 

She said that I should have made sure that a deposit was charged to my card and that was the confirmation of the room. I charge many things to my card and I don’t review my credit card statement every month. If I provide a credit card to a hotel and get a confirmation of my reservation and then get continuous email communications indicating I’m booked - then I’m booked. She called her supervisor and then told me there was nothing to be done.  She made no offer to make me whole. No suggestions for how I might get a room last second on 4th of July weekend. She just stared and waited for me to leave. 

What a way to ruin a great family outing. I would say the moral of the story is to make sure you check that a deposit is charged to your credit card before considering yourself booked at any establishment you go to. But I believe the more appropriate moral is - Don’t make a reservation at the Inn of the Four Winds.  You won’t know if they really kept your room until you actually get there.  I had the luxury of being able to drive all the way back home if I had too. But do you?

Did Not Honor Reservation - BEWARE!!

My husband, 17-year-old daughter, and I spent just a night at the Inn of the Four Winds on June 30th, 2021.  
I always have a difficult time trying to book suites that have what we need: an actual bedroom with a bed, plus another bed in the main area of the room.  It is always, one king or two queens in the bedroom plus a horribly lumpy pull-out couch.  My daughter is always unhappy about either of those options.
So imagine how pleased I was that our suite had a bedroom with a queen bed, and then a king bed in the main area.  (Plus a pull-out couch that we didn't need, thank goodness).
I really enjoyed the little balcony overlooking the Prom and the ocean.  The inn is on the quiet end of the Prom, which I also liked. 
The carpet looked new and was very cushy on the feet and the bed was super comfortable.  I would have loved to spend more time there and certainly will when we get to Seaside for a longer stay.

Pleasantly Surpised

This lovely Inn is located on the Seaside Promenade in a quiet location. Every room has a spacious view of the ocean. Our room felt more like a nicely appointed home versus a typical hotel room.  The fireplace added a special touch to our room. The hotel is just a short walk from the downtown attractions and places to eat.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to use two bikes.  They also offered to take pictures of our group at times convenient for us. They made us feel like family.
Housekeeping. gardening and maintenance staff keep the place in excellent condition.
We could not have had a more relaxing and enjoyable time on the Oregon Coast.

Outstanding Inn  at Seaside

Where do I begin...my husband and I made a last minute decision to go to Seaside for our Anniversary weekend and when we arrived we found that the off season wasn’t really off.lol. It was packed and every hotel nearly booked. We ran upon the Inn at Four winds and upon arriving we found this place to be nothing short of heaven on earth...our host Kimberly(bad with names but I believe that’s her name) was such a delight and helpful and caring and so darn wonderful the entire time. On our last night she put together the cutest lil wagon full of everything we would need for a beach bonfire... Our suite was so beautiful and clean and perfect for our lil getaway! We honestly had the most amazing stay here and will be back with our family soon. This has become our new ocean front stay! Thank you Kimberly for making our stay amazing and special. The views from our suite were phenomenal and the ambiance of this Inn was just what the doctor ordered. 5stars. Hands down. A must see and stay if you’re looking for an updated ocean front beach suite. We will see you all again soon!

Amazing quaint Little Inn on the ocean...

This could be a nice place and it would be for maybe half the price. The room is just ordinary but shows signs of age. There is nothing special about it at all. The furniture is older and worn. The carpet is not in good shape, the bathroom rug was full of holes, and the dish towels were also old and had holes. After staying one night we attempted to cancel the second night we had reserved but the manager was rude and unpleasant and not willing to discuss that as an option. The view is quite nice but this hotel is not worth the money.
We've stayed in many hotels that were much nicer than this one at half the cost. Very disappointed. If you're staying in seaside I'd suggest finding a different hotel.

Not worth the money

We have stayed at this place numerous times and it never disappoints.  We like that it is at the north end of the prom, which is so much quieter, yet a short walk on the prom to downtown.  The rooms are nicely appointed, cozy, clean and comfortable.  A suggestion we have is for the inn to provide personal cooling fans in the rooms, since there is no AC.
