When we got there the people were so professional and helpful. Went to the room and it was very clean. The beds are comfortable. You couldn’t ask for kinder people to help make our small vacation so enjoyable. Look forward to going back.

Stayed here a few times Would definitely recommend very family friendly . The place is always very clean. Staff is very nice and friendly. Good location close to beach and things for the family to do are close board walk is only 1 mile away

Family vacation 

This review was a long time in writing - The Starlight was the setting for a family wedding at the end of the season in 2021. 
   The rooms are large snd we were all well cared for during our stay. 
    After arriving home, I noticed that I had loss a very valuable and special pair of earrings. Even though the hotel was closing they looked everywhere! 
    Alas, as they reopened this year,  I received a call from the Manager to say the earrings were found, in their pouch behind the bed as they were cleaning! She sent them back to me the very next day. 
      It speaks to a very customer oriented experience. If you happen to find your way to the Jersey shore- Sleep under the stats at the Starlight!

Exceptional Service / Family Wedding -

The best!! We have been staying here in a large group every year for 14 years. It is simply the best. Angelo the owner and Michelle in the office make your stay absolutely perfect. Hotel is spotless the pool is spotless and the grounds are spotless. Kitchen if fully stacked with all household items, washer/dryer/ Kahrig coffee pot with kcups , no rugs, free ice, BBQ gas clean grills, tables, bike rack, corn hole, great A/C, location, Block from beach, lit up patio. If you need anything to make your stay better just ask. You won’t be disappointed.

The Gem at the Jersey Shore!

Head and shoulders above the rest. The hotel staff never stops working to make your stay perfect. Michelle worked with me on multiple questions, changes to reservations, and accomodations. She was super patient, very informative, and caring enough to ensure we were provided an amazing stay. Elayne and Sarah were incredibly helpful, constantly available, and made sure any needs were taken care of. Angelo is a non-stop machine that makes sure every detail at the motel is just right. His never ending fountain of energy helps makes the place sparkle. With help from everyone at the motel, I was able to put together an amazing marriage prososal that was the icing on the cake. It can't be easy dealing with as many people as come through this motel, but everyone here made it just about one of the best vacations ever, so much so that the kids were asking if we were coming back next year. Can't wait to be here again!

Simply the best, don't settle for anything else.

Do not expect for them to clean the sand out of your room. Also the pool closes at 6 PM. Yes the pool closes at 6 PM so be prepared after you have a nice day at the beach and you’re trying to have dinner with your family but you cannot go to the pool. There is no explanation why the pool closes at 6 PM but they close earlier than any place I have ever been in 25 years. They claim due to Covid they cannot clean your room so be prepared to track sand into your bed at night because it will￼ 
Be all over your floor and they will not even vacuum. They are very nice people and the pool was very clean and the location is somewhat decent which is about 2.5 blocks from the beach but like I said if you’re looking to have fun with your family this is definitely not the place you want to be. No other pool I have ever been at closes at 6 PM and like I said they blame Covid for not cleaning your room so when you go to the beach and you sleep in your bed at night expect to have sand all the way up your back it was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had. And like I said they do not even try to work with you￼ They simply blame Covid for not cleaning the rooms because that seems to be the new way of getting out of doing basic hotel duties. Do not stay here spend a little more money and stay in a place that actually treat you like you’re on vacation.

The pool closes at 6 PM

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Clean room.  Even helped me bring heavy baby stuff to my room. Suites have washer/dryer/dishes/dishwasher. No bathtub (just shower stall) but we improvised. Close to beach and entertainment. Will definitely go back. No maid service since covid but it really didn’t impact our stay - office was open and ready to swap towels etc 24 x7.

Great Experience

We were lucky to get a room at the Starlight this year. I can’t say enough about how friendly and accommodating the staff was. The hotel is very clean. We arrived early and our room was ready! The hotel is located just a very short walk to Ortley beach. It’s also located directly across the street to a really fun Arcade Barnacle Bills. I will definitely be coming back to the Starlight.

Great place great staff!!!

My family and I have been going to the Starlight Motel for 7 years now. Thai hotel is truly an incredible place to stay at. If you are looking to stay here I 100% recommend this beautiful and very clean hotel!!

My wife, sons, friends and I had a really nice few nights recently.   I am a snob.  I had my reservations.  They were entirely squashed when I realized how immaculate the rooms were.  Sure, they weren’t plush, but perfectly comfortable, spotless and the staff, particularly Angelo, couldn’t be more pleasant.  Easy access to the beach, Pop’s coffee, the Sunny Hunny, Barnacle Bills and the convenience of the pool topped it off.  If I were to be critical at all, it would be of other guests, playing music to their tastes, too loud and more importantly, smoking in the presence of others.   That’s off putting.  We will be back, for sure.  Next time, for a longer stay.  Thank you.  Just what the doctor ordered.
