The customer service was fantastic. Lou was so nice over the phone and in person. Our room was ready early and they allowed us to to check in. Room was very clean and comfortable. Location is right on the beach. 

Great stay

I was extremely happy with my stay here. It was clean,  right near entrance to the beach,  friendly management,  fantastic pool!!  Bagels in the morning!  
Close enough to walk down to Seaside Heights boardwalk,  but far enough away from the noise of it all.  I'm definitely staying here again!

Great stay!

Loved our first stay so much we came back two weeks later for another stay. Tom (owner) and Lou keep the place looking great and treat their guests like family. The rooms are kept in good working order and housekeeping does an amazing job keeping things clean. Everyone (guests and employees) is friendly and the whole place has a family vibe. It’s right across the street from the beach and they provide beach passes. Nice touch: they give you the passes if you get there early before check in so you can still get time on the sand on your first day of vacation. There are bagels and coffee every morning and the Wi-Fi works great. This is our go to beach motel at the Jersey Shore.

Always a great time

We enjoyed another great stay at the Luna Mar. An annual summer stay to see our son’s family at the Jersey shore. Tom, the owner, took good care of us as usual. This is a family run motel straight out of the 60’s with that era style. Great heated pool and right across the street from the beach and a couple blocks from the boardwalk.
Bagels and coffee in the morning and Lou, the front desk man was a hoot. Cousin Joe was also friendly and helpful.
Looking forward to next year!

Another Great Stay

We were in Seaside Park for a wedding and rented 12 rooms at Luna Mar, from an apartment to single rooms.  The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating.  The pool is great and was used frequently throughout our stay., and the beach is right across the street. Beach passes are provided.  A breakfast of coffee, tea and bagels was offered each morning and ice was available all day.  The rooms were clean and comfortable; in various stages of renovation. The motel does not have many electrical outlets; bring a power strip to have ample places to plug in devices. Linens and mattresses were new in my room; others said they had older smaller towels.  There is one parking spot per room; they are very narrow so be sure to park between the lines!  We are already planning a return for next summer.

Great Family Stay!

The Luna Mar is our go-to shore destination. The rooms are spotless and cozy with a huge pool where the kids can play and the adults can chit chat. The owner, Tom, is always on hand to make sure you have everything you need and the staff is excellent and go above and beyond to make sure guests enjoy their stay. Bagels and coffee are provided every morning and Friday night is pizza night! The beach is right across the street and every guest receives their own pass (usually a $10/person charge) and Seaside Heights Boardwalk is steps away with dozens of restaurants, shops, and carnival rides. Be sure to ask for a room on the 2nd floor and you’ll get an amazing sunrise view!

So much fun!

The hotel was nice, but there was a misunderstanding. On the phone I asked for three nights and was quoted a price for three nights. They sent a confirmation email,  I  read only the subject line "reservation confirmation" and was naive enough to think it would match the phone conversation. After two nights , they called us on the beach, we were told to leave, no rooms available. I understand these things happen. But they made no effort to help us find another hotel. They treated us like criminals trying to steal another night.  We quickly packed up, wet, sandy and in tears. If they had lifted a finger to call neighboring hotels I'd have been so grateful.  We found a nice place in Seaside Heights, it was surprisingly very quiet. We loved the sunset from the pier on  Sunset beach, and enjoyed the fireworks from right outside our hotel. I would recommend reading all emails very carefully, printing them out and be prepared to defend your reservation!

terrible experience

Visited with my daughter as a final getaway before school begins. So thankful we found the Luna Mar. From the moment we made the reservation with Tom, we were made to feel welcome. I don’t know of any other shore motel where the owner comes out to welcome you and shake your hand when you check in. He always seems to be out and about working on the place. Our room was perfect. Spotlessly clean and with a great view. The microwave and fridge were a nice bonus. The free WiFi worked throughout our stay. I loved the coffee and bagels they provide every morning. This place truly values their guests. My daughter had a blast on their pool and the other guests were nice to chat with. Our family has long been visitors to Point Pleasant, but as that has gone a bit downhill, Seaside Heights and Park have been on an upswing. The hotel is right across the street from Seaside Park beach which is guarded, clean, and friendly. The hotel even provided beach passes. And it’s only a few blocks away from the boardwalk rides, games, and restaurants. We will be back!

A Great Find at the Jersey Shore

My children and I started out in Seaside Heights, which turned into a disaster. Tom was so accommodating to us. We were  very lucky to find Luna Mar when we did. The room was very clean and just the right size for us. Housekeeping came everyday. The location is close to a few stores and right across from the beach. There was coffee and bagels served daily. And even and ice cream party one day. 
The atmosphere was quiet and friendly. We can't wait to go back next year.

I wish we were there longer

We had a wonderful experience at Luna Mar. We came from Michigan to visit our son & grandkids. The location is overlooking the ocean right on Ocean Ave and just a couple blocks from the boardwalk. Access to the beautiful beach  is right across the street.
The motel is very clean and well kept and we really enjoyed an ocean view(room 15). Spent time in the pool and the coffee & bagels in the morning were a nice touch.
Spent some time with Tom the owner and he was genuinely interested in making sure our stay was great! Lou the manager was a hoot and had some great suggestions for places to eat.
We really enjoyed our stay!
