so our family reunion we have had there for over 20 years was canceled by the owner after we reserved all our rooms 3 months earlier. the new owner is a piece of trash . DO NOT stay here. rude owner trashy hotel. pool sucks . Owner is a piece of crap. how do you cancel rooms that were reserved 3 months prior to your trip, 1 week before your trip ? this new owner canceled our rooms because he has personal friends that need them that weekend. if I could give a review of 0 stars I wouldn't.  I would give THE OWNER a negative 5 star review. don't waste your money on this trashy hotel . And it's PIECE OF TRASH OWNER .

New owners are horrible people.

Old fashion, just enough confort and equipment for a night or 2.

You are at a walking distance 15 min from pike place market.
Its is true that there is some noise from the street and its quality standards are from some decades ago but its price is a third/quarter from the quality hotels in the city.

Basic, low price, close to pike place market

Just booked one night before my Alaska cruise. How bad could it be right?
Well it was outdated and filthy. Also, I left a moto jacket and one sandal in my haste. I called from each Port in Alaska to see if I could get my lost items back. No one really even cared. When I returned to Seattle I even went back to the place personally and again no items.
The place is really horrible and not cheap at all.

One night from hell

This motel is dated and tired but the towels,bedding and actual bathroom fittings were clean and comfortable to use.You also get free underground car parking which is worth a lot. We stayed for one night as we were going to a nearby concert but I would not recommend to stay for a long stay where you want a bit of luxury

Was this the best hotel I've ever stayed it?  Nope.  Was it clean?  Yes.  Was the front desk cooperative and helpful?  Yes.  Was it conveniently located?  Absolutely!  Did we feel safe?  Yes.  Did I save a ton of money staying here?  YES!  Did we spend much time in our room?  Nope.....  There's way too much to do in Seattle to waste even a moment in the hotel room.  Thank you, Kings Inn, for a great stay in Seattle.  

Good enough

This place was terrible!  The ads claim they have coffee, bottled water, hair dryers, etc.  None of this is true.  We did get a hair dryer when we asked for one, but none of the other perks were included.  Their terrace is a parking lot area surrounded by wright iron and furnished with what looked like stuffed office chairs.  Can you imagine the condition of those chairs in after the Seattle rain?  Our room was damp and had such luxuries as wire painted over with white paint.  Ick!  Stay away from this place.

Dirty, But Expensive

At first sight this is a tired motel in the center of a major city. But, as you take a closer look, you will find it is a great value within walking distance to most of the sights travelers desire to see in Seattle.

Yes, it is a motel not a hotel. Yes, it is dated. Yes, it is bare-bones.
But, what are you looking for- a safe, clean place to lay your head at night; or a room to stay holed up in while the city calls you to fun and adventure?

The linens are clean, but dated. The décor not so fancy. Who cares! Kings Inn is within walking distance to Pike's Place Market, Space Needle, cruise ship terminals, monorail, and many restaurants and shopping. Top Pot donuts is on the same block.

A small parking lot is adjacent to the motel. Ice machine, soda and water are available from the office for a small fee.

A King Sized Value

It is clean, cofortable and safe.  Free parking in downtown Seattle is amazing.  You cannot it beat the location.  It's next to a doughnut shop.  You are a 10-20 minute walk from most everything.   It is not the Hilton, but it doesn't cost as much as one either.  Simply put, I would definitely stay there again.

Great Value.

You get what you pay for — in service and quality.  This motel (not hotel) is truly bare bones.  No frills or thrills.  Bare walls.  Dated Everything.  What’s worse is the lack of in-room security when you’re away.  The room key is a regular, old-fashioned door lock unlike the standard card reader lock used at update to hotels.  For a sense security, I took Everything but my clothes with me.  Good customer service is hit or miss.  I encountered two helpful guys, but also two not-so-friendly guys.   The location is great but because room security here is so compromised and it lacks any modernity, I would not recommend it despite the cheap rates.  

One Star Motel, At Best

Negative reviewers... meh.   The place is old... I don't see that as a negative.

Got a double room for three of us for two nights before we left on a 7 day Alaskan cruise from Seattle.   We had suites on the ship... I just needed a place to crash before the trip.

 I usually stay in nice-nice places when I travel.  But this time, we knew we just needed a place to shower and sleep.   It didn't make sense to spend $350 a night for that.  We wanted to be walking distance to Pike Market. 

The hosts were amazingly wonderful.   At one point, some of our friends came over and they were very kind about letting us park their car in the lot for the day time.  Very nice courtesy. 

The room was clean. 

It was walking distance to most things we wanted to go see. 

Bonus deal:  Top Pot Doughnuts is right next door - it was a great place to plug in and have a little computer time. 

There is nothing negative to say about the place.   We paid about $300 total (for two nights - three of us) and one night for the Marriott the cruise line suggested was about $350.   It's a no brainer- unless you are going to spend lots of time in your room or want other amenities.
