The motel charged in 3 separate transactions instead of taking payment on check in as stated on Booking.com advertising. It meant 3 international transactions fees. 

The staff member on duty for check in was disinterested and unhelpful. The rooms facilities were old and broken. They had a tiny air conditioning unit placed in an open window to cool the place which considering the area, wasn't really secure. Plus temperatures in Seattle were over 30 degrees Celsius and the air con was a long way from the bedroom (for such a tiny a/c unit) and it was extremely hot inside the room. The bathroom exhaust fan was so loud (it was a light and fan in one) and rattled that bad that you couldn't have the light on. We weren't supplied any towels so we went to see the Reception for towels and to let them know about the bathroom. We were supplied hand towels and told that there wasn't anything they could do about the bathroom despite their being vacancies to move us to another room. The TV reception and WiFi were non-existent. 

We felt unsafe, uncomfortable and very unhappy with the whole situation so we decided to move to another motel. This place is not as advertised and I'm used to roughing it but the unfriendly check in made it all worse. Booking this motel was a very expensive mistake as we couldn't get a refund and we had to pay for nights elsewhere.

As a side note and nothing to do with the motel, the area isn't great especially after dark. There are a lot of drug dealers, prostitutes and homeless on the street and in the area right around the motel.

Scam artist owner AND BED BUGS - DO NOT STAY HERE. This owner will charge your card additional fees, as much as he can get away with, after you check out. Get dirt on a towel? That's $80. Have pets? They claim to be pet friendly, but if you so much as have a piece of dog hair in the already filthy room, you'll be charged $100 on top of the $100 pet deposit you already paid. The water takes 5 full minutes to warm up, that is if you get any water pressure. The toilet smells like sewage. The neighbors are literal prostitutes and drug dealers. Pure slumlord, please put this guy out of business.

Scammed by the owner

I rented a room on a booking service for 2 people. My partner had lost his wallet I had my ID and the room was in my name. They refused to rent with one ID. They lied to credit card company and said I never showed for the reservation and charged me 82.20

The room it's self was not bad, pretty clean, and somewhat comfortable. The front door had no deadbolt (concerning in that neighborhood), no coffee, no iron, had to request a space heater. The shower drain had no grate on it and the shower was very tiny. There was no human for an early check out. The parking lot does not accommodate large vehicles well. The "locals" seemed more lively at night then during the day. One of the long term residents played music all night with their room door open.

The room itself was pretty clean, however the neighborhood is sketchy...

Our mistake was waiting to book a place in Seattle the day of our stay. Should have booked a week in advance to have better options. 

That said...

The price ($109) did not match the value of the stay. Our bed was saggy in the middle, spiders everywhere, musty smell like it was once a smokers room, and really creepy, tweaking out, neighbors staying in adjacent 'suites.'

All linens were clean. Outdated decor and fixtures. Dirty window blinds. Full fridge and freezer, microwave, kitchen sink. Decent bathroom with shower and decent water pressure.

This place reminded me of the old basement apartment I rented during my masters. Dark, smelly, but meets the immediate need for a place to sleep and take a shower.

No breakfast offered. Coffee at reception was cold.

Service at reception was very kind and courteous. Thank you for being so nice!

We will search for something of better quality next time, even if we have to pay more.
