The security folks patrolling the hotel make you wonder if you’re in a nice place. They are very confrontational. I’ve stayed here in the past. I was carrying a coffee and confronted. I was dress in jeans and an expensive Three Dot t- shirt.

Mighty tough act

First of all it’s in a great location. Secondly we paid cash and had to leave an extra $100.00 in case we ruined the room I guess.. I was ok with that until the next morning when their was a mouse in our room.... I honestly was offered another room.. but they didn’t act surprised.. we stayed in the room because we thought we got the mouse out.. the next morning we went for coffee and their was mouse poop all over including on the bed.. yikes

This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Where to start?

Incompetent and dishonest staff
Room not cleaned for second day
Forced to return to hotel, as the second night stay we were doing was not conveyed to another staff, requiring us to return to the hotel, as it “was easier to rebook the room,” rather than taking the information over the phone
To the haggard and meth addicted woman sitting on the edge of the parking lot smoking dope
To no clean towels
To COVID 19 bring blamed for the room NOT being cleaned
To having to get the room keys redone FOUR times to get into the room
To having to service our own towels, emptying our own garbage
To no lights in the hallways or ice maker room
To television not working
To coffee maker not working
To room windows in the back left open, causing the room temperature to be FREEZING
To the noisiest room heaters EVER

I want my money back. What a terrible hotel.....

The hotel is beginning to take in the homeless.  Rooms are dirty, the pool and jacuzzi were green, smelly towels, dirty carpets, noisy neighbors and smokers  around congregating in the courtyard and a poor don't give a crap attitude from the office  ***All this pleasure after driving 500 miles back to a town I was raised in to bury our elderly Mother

Stay Away!

None of their staff wore masks during our stay at the height of covid. NONE. 

Rooms stunk to no end, and were filthy. I had to personally take a sanitizing wipe to all surfaces and doors, which had greasy fingerprints all over them. 

Door keycard mechanism malfunctioned during our stay. 

Cherry on top was the false advertising. They quoted me two queen beds and we received a room with two full beds instead. 

Room had just been remodeled and will age poorly. Shower has nothing but a pathetic curtain between it and the rest of the bathroom. Not even a little lip on the floor to prevent water from splashing towards the toilet. Curtain was already filthy. 

Avoid this place at all costs.

On my way home I stopped at Sebastopol city on hwy 101. The city is very charming with all these little boutiques.  As I arrived I got a phone call from the Sebastopol Inn wondering when I will be checking in. It was nice to hear from my hotel. Tania, the owner welcomed me and was very gracious.  My room was upgraded to an upstairs location. The room was clean and had all the utilities needed for my stay. The selection of tv channels was great and very diverse. I will stay there again!

I booked one of the one-bedroom “suites” over the holidays while visiting relatives. At no point was I informed the hotel would be under renovations when I arrived. When I checked in I prepped up when I heard my “suite” was one recently renovated. That was the high point. Everything went downhill from there. WAY DOWN.

The first night I returned to the hotel room about 9 PM. My room was infested with ants. I called the front desk and the receptionist said she would be right up. As I waited, I grabbed a very hot towel and started mopping up the ants. I couldn’t figure out where they were coming from, but when I lifted the clock radio, you could not even see the fake wood on top of the side table. They were going after some sticky substance that apparently been left behind by housekeeping.By the time the desk clerk arrived at my room, 25 minutes later, caring disinfectant spray (not bug spray) and Clorox wipes, I had gotten rid of most of them. I took the wipes and spray to finish the clean up. Tanya told me that they had never had any ant problems before and looked at me incredulously. Either it was her first day, or she was lying to me, because if you read any of the yelp reviews, which sadly I did not before booking the hotel I just looked at the three stars, they talked about 🐜 ant infestation. 

The “suite” was missing an ironing board. No big deal. I called and asked for one the following morning. The clerk told me she would see what she could do. Returning home the second evening, still no ironing board. The following morning I asked housekeeping, in person, to find one in an empty room and please put it in my room. She too said she would see what she could do. I have to say here that there is no welcoming or apologetic attitude when you make any request. They are visibly put out. I then walked down to the front desk and asked again. In person. Returning to my room the third night, still no ironing board. I called the front desk at 9 PM and said it was no longer a request but a need. The guy said he would find one and bring it up. PROGRESS! Or so I thought. 

An hour goes by while I wait for the clerk who, by the way, was entertaining three friends in the laundry room adjoining the reception area. I call again & he picks up, telling me it was not that easy, that he had to find a spare. Because he picked up on the first ring, with only three cars in the lot (mine, his and his buddies) I informed him he had to begin looking. A back-and-forth in sued, I’m telling me it wasn’t his issue that he just came on duty that night and me telling him, with my voice escalating that it wasn’t an option, I had clothes that I needed to press for the following day and if I had received the ironing board at anyone of the three previous days when I requested I wouldn’t be asking him now. I guess they only respond to a heightened sense of urgency. No polite conversations in the previous three days worked. Extreme frustration did. Within five minutes he pounded at my door, I’m not talking knocking he pounded on my door, and deliver the ironing board. I could smell the pot on him. Don’t get me wrong, I am not against pot, I am against lazy, horrible service. 

Last night, once again I return to the “Inn” around 9 PM. Housekeeping had come that afternoon, I knew this because the bed was made, but I could immediately see she ignored the floors...no sweeping, no vacuuming. As I approached my bed, yes, you got it, yet another ant infestation on the side tables. I didn’t noticed ants crawling on top of the comforter and pull back the sheets. 🐜 ants were everywhere. IN MY BED. Housekeeping did not even take the time to change my linens. 

I called the front desk from my hotel room and there was no answer. I then used my mobile phone to dial the front desk and I got their answering machine. I left a detailed message indicating what was going on. I took the time to clean up the ants off of the end tables again but I needed clean sheets before I could  go to bed. Eventually, I walked down to the front reception area. The clerk, or female, was again in the adjoining laundry room hanging out with her 
boyfriend. It took an argument for me to get clean sheets and to get her to come up and look at the room. Once she did, she became profusely apologetic. I saw the sincerity in her apology which was nice. It was the first time anyone apologized to me the entire stay. It’s as if they thought I 
was making everything up the entire time. She helped me change the sheets and told me she would call the hotel manager, Tina. It’s my last day here. I have yet to hear from Tina. 

This is a roadside motel trying to sell itself 
as an Inn. If I were paying motel rates, I could live with it. But they are charging me $250 a night for this dump. To be clear, again: It is filthy, the staff lazy & unresponsive. I believe the 5-stars are paid for. 

Look at the pictures. The exterior was piled with mattresses and furniture my entire stay. There was no warning or price adjustment for this. Another picture is is dirty hand and finger prints on the A/C & heating unit. The other is goodness knows what on the outside of the frig. The last is the new insect I woke up to next to my headboard. 

Think long and hard before booking here. Good luck.

SEBASTOPOL INN IS AS BAD AS EVERY POOR REVIEW! INFESTATION & HORRIBLE, LAZY STAFF!

With few choices to stay in Sebastopol this should NOT be considered. I am sad to say that after the “unfriendly” check in we should have checked out when discovering a black widow spider in the ceiling of our room and no smoke alarm. There were no hooks or towel racks and you could feel the springs on the mattress.

This is apparently the only motel/hotel/inn in Sebastopol and the experience at check-in was so horrible, that I can say little positive about it.  The room was spacious, somewhat dated, but the room (with the exception of the bathroom) was immaculate.  The beds were comfortable.
As I there for a two-day wedding celebration, and the Inn appeared to be the only lodging available in Sebastopol.  I had booked a room with balcony, and the confirmation came back from booking.com that my reservation was with balcony.  
When I arrived, I was told that their computer system was down and 1) they wanted to make photocopies of both my ID and credit card; 2) They needed me to fill out two different letter size forms, with all inclusive information, address, telephone, credit card number, expiration, 3-digit cc security number, personal email address, etc.  I objected to the photo-copying, stating I had never experienced this before, only out-of-country, when hotels sometimes are required by their national laws to keep photocopies of passport pages.  As I had the wedding the next day, I could not move to another lodging.
When the clerk gave me the room card and information, I saw that I had  room with patio, not balcony.  And at $204.06 per night, I expected what I had reserved.  I brought up the booking.com confirmed reservation on my smartphone, but the clerk refused to look at it, stating that the reservation was with them, not booking.com and booking.com had come up with their own description.  I demurred, based on my experiences with booking.com and other reservation sites and asked to speak with the manager or owner, but was told no one was available.  As I was leaving the office, the clerk shouted after me, something to the effect that “I don’t see why you feel so entitled.”  Apparently $204.06 per night did not allow me to feel entitled to the room I had reserved. The reception that I received clouded my entire stay.
As I mentioned above, the room was immaculate with the exception of the bathroom.  The entire bathroom could use a deep cleaning – photos attached of the lavatory and the toilet paper stand, which you can see is extremely rusted on its base and the tile floor could use a deep cleaning.  The drain of the lavatory also needed work.  The upkeep of the bathroom ranks at the bottom of hotels/motels/inns at which I have stayed.
On my final morning, I checked, and someone had gone in to the booking.com site and altered the reservation to delete the “balcony” part of the reservation.
When checking out, I was told the statement would be emailed to me, but after 25 days, I still have not received it.
Even if I have another wedding to attend in Sebastopol, I could never bring myself to stay here again.

The Worst Lodging Experience Ever!  Never Again!

Tried to get away for our anniversary but our daughter was throwing up with the flu.  Called to cancel the day prior to check-in and was told correctly that we were one day outside of our 48 hour cancelation window.  I asked if they would at least consider refunding half the money or offering a voucher for a future stay.  After no call back I called again and asked if they could be sympathetic of the situation.  They said they try to fill the room and if so, they'll refund the money.   On the night of the booking all booking websites including sebastopolinn.com showed the hotel as sold out.  I called to ask for the refund and was told they had checked me in (even after telling them a day prior I was not going to check in).   The front desk at 11:20PM said the night was still early and if someone walks in they would give them our room....huh?  You're not updating your own website but waiting for a walkin?  That's your strategy?  I thought a refund based on a rebook of the room was an acceptable position but showing the hotel as full on your own site, and all third party booking sites, does not reflect a genuine effort to book the room.  Based on all the contradictory excuses I received on the phone, I would not be surprised if the room was booked.   To the apathetic manager who made no effort to help a family out when they could have used a little understanding and compromise, please go buy yourself a $300 introductory course on hospitality.

They actually screen reviews on their site, which is why they only show 3 100% reviews.  Look at all the other reviews on other sites and then decide.
