This place is a health violation!!  I shortened my trip because I could only stomach 1 night.  I cleaned the room and changed my bed linen.  The photos in the advertisements are misleading!  Room #215 looked like a crime scene with what looked like blood and body fluid splatter on the walls throughout the room.   The Dept. of Health should shut this place down!!!  This place is an insult to Selma, Ala.

Horrendous

The place full of all kind of insects running around, terrible smell, AC broken,.... management didn't understand why we didn't want to stay and took forever getting a refund. Place needs to be inspected and closed.

We stayed there for one night with our dogs as part of a road trip throughout the South. We had pre-booked and pre-paid for a non-smoking room.  Upon check-in we realized we were screwed because the room was beyond smoky and filthy and we had no other alternative because we had dogs. The bathroom smelled even worse so we just used the toilet not the shower. The beds were comfortable enough but I was coughing all night because of the smoke. I found a cigarette butt on the stained carpet and there were stains on the exposed mattress. There were cigarette burn holes on the bedspreads. We escaped at dawn with no desire to try their free breakfast.

Unacceptable

The staff was friendly, it’s an old hotel , but our room was quiet and clean. Not a perfect place, but accepts pets for $5.00 a night. There’s a lot of remodeling left to do and with money tight these days, the owners are giving it their all. I would stay here again.

Overnight Stay trip

During the hurricane evacuation, the Rack Rate placard on the door to our room had white out covering the standard room charges. The desk clerk tried to charge for my marked service dog until I quoted Federal Law: ADA Act.

Stay Away

I stayed here for 2 nights when me and my family were fleeing Hurricane Irma. The rooms are rundown, dirty and not clean. There were stains on the sheets and blankets, the towel racks were rusted. The phone in the room didnt work. The pillows were extremely hard amd lumpy.

A horrible rundown place

We stayed here in January for part of my sons wish trip.  All that we had in the room was our bag with our clothing and our jackets.  And 1 opened small bag of potato chips that only had crumbs in.  My son and I were in one bed and sleeping.  At 2 in the morning, I woke to a noise coming from the other bed with the chip bag.  I quick jumped up to turn on the light by the bed and on the bed next to us, with just our jackets and that empty small chip bag were mice!!!  They jumped down and I thought they had left.  I left the light on then and  around 3 I thought maybe if I left the light on, because I am TERRIFIED of mice, that they would know someone is here.  I layed down and soon after the waterbottles on the bench next to the tv holding our bag with out clothing in started moving, I jumped up again and they started jumping down to the floor from the bench!!!  This motel was so run down, the rug by the door, you could tell that mice were chewing on it.  I would not ever stay there again!!!  For a hotel to have that many  mice in their hotel room.. tells me that they do not take care of it!  I would recommend going to the Holiday Inn behind this hotel and bypass this one as soon as you see it!!!
