We stayed 2 nights in late August. Every room opens to the decks facing the harbor - which is lovely. Even with the rainy weather we had, the view out the sliding door was still beautiful. The office staff was friendly, rooms were clean, & bed were comfy. What more could you ask for? There is a free Seward trolley & one of the stops is at the Harbormaster's Office which is just catty-corner in front of the lodge. We were very happy that this was our lodging choice in Seward.

Saltwater Safari Lodge

We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave.   The views are the best anywhere!  You are on the harbor, will sea otters, seals, bald eagles and constant cool boating!  The people are really nice!  It does not have a lobby or a restaurant, but the location is perfect!!

Phenomenal views 

We stayed two nights in a top floor room at Safari Lodge. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was wonderful! The room was clean, quiet, spacious and had an amazing view of the harbor. I wish we could have spent more time exploring Seward but we only had one full day in town and spent it on a boat in Kenai Fjords NP. There was a small table and chairs set up outside each room on the covered deck for guests to enjoy the harbor views. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom has a great shower. Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised!

We spent 3 nights in Seward at the Safari Lodge. From our booking right up to our arrival everything was perfect. The rooms are all waterfront with a nice sliding door that opens up to the deck looking out over the water and boats.  Comfortable beds, nice big clean rooms & bathroom with a large shower. Also  loved the room decor.
Eddie handled our reservation and was super informative answering any questions before and after we arrived. 
I highly recommend staying at the lodge if you are visiting Seward 
And also book their fishing tour as well - it was AWESOME ! 

Awesome Place !

My husband and I had a great stay at Safari Lodge. The views of the harbor are breathtaking and right outside your sliding door to the deck! Heather was awesome and communicated well with us even with a late check in. Clear instructions were given where to park and parking was free. We went late September, during the shoulder season and we loved that it wasn’t so busy. We did note that many shops/restaurants did already close for the season in Seward.  Comfortable bed, very cozy and decorated nicely. We can’t wait to come back! This location is close to so many hiking options too!

Cozy stay & beautiful views of the harbor

Shoutout to Heather who worked the front desk when we arrived. She made our stay a lot better. Besides calling and giving details to make checking in easy, she did move us to a another room when it appeared that the previous occupant of our room smoked (despite multi signs saying not to). She wanted to make sure we were comfortable. Rooms were updated although a little tight. Bathrooms were clean although could have used a few more hooks to hang stuff. Excellent location for everything.

Nice and close to everything…

We loved this property.  The family-run lodge is ideally located in downtown Seward, making all key sites and yours within walking distance. The staff were WONDERFUL, and incredibly warm and professional. The property is right on the water overlooking Seward Harbor; and  was nearly spotless while filled with quirky but charming decor that fit perfectly into the Kenai surroundings.  The room came with access to the deck over the harbor (stunning views).  Although there are no major amenities  (think gym or cafe), everything you need is nearby in the town. Overall we give them 5 stars for the quality and location, the spacious room with a view, and the welcoming staff.  We can't wait to come back.

Perfect Stay in Seward

My husband and I stayed here in July 2020.  The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable.  We loved the view from our room - the harbor!  This hotel is also really, really well located for site seeing boat tours.  Most of them start very close to the hotel - like 20 feet away close.  We found the staff to be very kind and helpful as well.

Cozy vibe, very clean, perfect location

This hotel is right on the pier. We had a sliding glass door on to the back deck, facing the boat docks.  It’s was easy walking to good restaurants. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed this hotel and our stay in Seward. 

Best location 

The Safari Lodge is located right on the marina.  It’s clear that they cater to fishermen, but they made us feel welcome.  They offered helpful tips about restaurants and things to see and do.  Many restaurants are within easy walking distance.  This is a great choice for fishermen or anybody else traveling to Seward.
