Was in the area for something and needed a place to stay overnight and found this place on line.  

Place is like those motels you would find in the late 60s and 70s and seems to have not been updated since.  

The price was good but overall I am not sure I would stay here again.  Place was cleanish,  the "TV" was tiny and the remote only half worked.

Thought it was odd that a day or two before I was to arrive got an email with a code to get into the room and a note saying that there is no staff on duty and given a phone number in needed.  
Breakfast was a small box of cereal, a few over the counter danishes you buy at a convenience store.

Stuck in the 70s

We booked 6 rooms in September 2022 for a wedding July 2023. When we arrived we found out that  2 of the family with children had been moved to another property without notice. Ok, not a problem, it wasn't far away. Just annoying that we weren't together. In out room the comforter had a stain on it. Ok, sometimes that happens. The air conditioner (window unit) could only go off and on, there was no way to adjust the temperature. Ok, we can stand it. Floors are uneven and squeak and room smelled musty. Ok.... starting to add up it be a little uncomfortable. You can't turn the sink to  hot water, it is just cold and then the faucet just turns around and around and around. There is air in the water line so the sink, toilet and shower spit water. Couldn't turn the bedside lights on because they fall to the side or off completely. Toilet paper holder was NOT ATTACHED TO THE WALL. Instead there is just a hole with damaged tile. The "lobby continental breakfast" isn't in the lobby, it is in your room and is 2 boxes of cornflakes in the room (EXPIRED) and 2 hostess danishes, 2 foam bowls, 2 plastic spoons and a starbucks glass bottle filled with milk in the refrigerator (and a sign saying we would be charged $5 if the glass was not left in the room). But we could have lived with all of it if it wasn't for the MICE. The first night they chewed through the danishes on the counter and every time I flipped on the light they scurried into the room next door (EW!). By morning there were mouse droppings everywhere. There is a "24 hour emergency line" and the owners phone number yet neither was answered for the 2 days we were there. We could have dealt with one of the above but all.... completely gross. Spend the money somewhere else. These owners do not care about this motel, the guests or the up-keep.

Our neighbors in the next room summed it up perfectly: “quelle dump!”

We stayed in the Suites on Main (owned by the Margaretville Motel) and it was the mangiest place on Main. Sticky, smelly, unsightly and saggy beds. Smell ya later, Suites on Main!

stayed one night so I can attend a friend's wedding. The photo on the web was VERY deceiving. The motel we run down, and the room was just not touched in years. The bed mattresses were very soft and only one pillow ad a pillowcase on it. The motels office was closed and had to get call them to get the pass code on the doors lock. Did not feel safe staying here. look else ware.

worst stay ever

Motel was older than we expected and looked like it needed some updating. The person at the counter when we checked in was not very helpful.  We chose to  get breakfast elsewhere the next morning - we also saw others that had stayed at the motel at the same restaurant we chose for breakfast.  I would not stay there again

Good location for what we needed

My son and I were attending an event at Bethel Woods and this was as close as we could get a reservation in 12-2018 for 8-2019. It is an older property, small rooms that are quiet and clean. Employees were friendly with good recommendations for restaurants. They offer free continental breakfast, but we opted to eat at a cafe.

Room was old and needs to be refurbished, but it was clean. Way too expensive, though. Paid close to $140/night for a 1-2 star motel but not too much choice in area so they can charge whatever they want.  Wifi was spotty and slow, but there are only 10 rooms here and we were at the opposite end of their office. If wifi reception is important, ask for rooms 1 to 3.

OLD 1950s MOTEL

This motel is adequate for an overnight stay. The owners do their best to make it clean and comfortable, however the motel is in desperate need of updating and repair. The bathroom floors are sagging and cracked, the window blinds don’t work properly, the beds are sway back in the middle, and the furniture is old and scuffed. The staff is very friendly and they will give you anything you wish, I hate that things are in such bad shape and hope they have the money to renovate soon.

They do their best, but...

As 1950-1960's era roadside motels go this place is OK. It's a little run down, but it was clean and relatively quiet.   Price was reasonable, beds comfortable, shower was great, staff was very friendly, continental breakfast (which we missed because we left too early) is adequate.  On the somewhat negative side we had a coffee maker but no coffee cups, glasses, or drinking vessels of any kind were provided.  The in-room coffee was absolutely terrible (drank some out of the carafe!).  And, it seems to me that a place that caters to working people who are on the road (there were several there in their pickup trucks the night we stayed) would open their continental breakfast before 8 AM.  Maybe tourists like to sleep late, but not workers, and not us (hikers).  Finally, the outside lights are bright and the venetian blinds let a lot of it in.  I could almost read by the outside light when we turned all the room lights off.  but then, like I said........it was OK for the price.

OK for the price

You can't expect a 5 star experience when staying at a motel.  As motel's go, the place is pretty decent.  The room was clean and the staff that worked there was extremely nice.  Very social and accommodating.  We stayed for skiing at Belleayre Mountain for a few days.  Really enjoyed having a continental breakfast so we didn't have to kill a lot of time stopping before getting to the mountain to ski.  Also, we got a nice lift ticket discount for staying there.  We also got to use the indoor community pool for one night and it's a very nice new facility, the kids had a lot of fun.
