On a 1500 mile drive across I-40, we just needed an inexpensive spot to spend the night with easy off/easy on access. This was a great place for the price, exactly what we were looking for. Room was clean, bed comfortable, AC good. Would stay here again.

Great value

My husband and I stayed here last night.  It was excellent in every way. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and had enough blankets, the room heater was good, the room smelled good, and the water was hot.  I recommend this hotel and will stay here again if i am back in this area.

Stay here! You won't regret it.

I chose this place because of the deal and because a review said it had been updated. They were right. It was clean and in good condition, the fixtures were newer & shiny, they provided nice quality soap, etc., but it was beyond that. Normally in a lower price range hotel, you have a top sheet, a barely there blanket, and another sheet on top for a spread. This facility had nice quality sheets, a cozy fleece blanket, and on top a lovely gold satin comforter/bed spread with decorative pillows. It’s obviously that the owners/management takes pride in their facility. If I were going through this area again, I would absolutely choose to stay at Colonial Inn again.

We almost took a pass on this hotel because of the reviews. Then we saw one review that mentioned new management and we thought we would give them a try because of the good rate. We are glad we did. The room has been recently upgraded with flat screen TV, new furniture, fixtures, and carpet, and was spotlessly clean. It's a nice treat to get a refrigerator and microwave in the room. We didn't expect that for the price we paid. The towels and linens are new and of good quality. The bed was quite comfortable. Location is a half mile from the interstate so there was no traffic noise. The reception experience was fast and very friendly. We would stay again.

What a difference management makes!

Traveling across the country with a small dog is tough to find a reasonable place to stay without pay astronomical pet fees.  The manager of the place and his family live on site were friendly and caring for their customers.   The room was very clean, had a working fridge, microwave, coffee maker and great air condition.  The wifi worked well, so we had no need for a television.    There was ample space to walk the dog and it was a clean walk space.  Even though there were other customers visiting outside when we turned in for the night, I never heard them, because the room was secure and quiet.  Based on prior reviews, there must be new ownership and management.  If I travel the same route in my return, I am definitely considering another stay here.  I felt safe and welcomed at a great price!

the gentlemen at the front desk was really nice brought us bottled water and called to check on us after we got in our room the room was extremely clean the air conditioner was clean bathroom front desk was really helpful with any questions

Very reasonable motel/Motor Lodge. Updated motel with easy access to I-40. Clean room and  nice innkeeper. This is not a Hotel. But for a quick rest overnight the Colonial Inn did the job nicely. Very reasonable.

Don't judge the property by it's exterior - The room was basic but CLEAN - Could use some updating - Folks at the property were difficult to understand and asked a lot of questions that I didn't feel had anything to do with the check in Felt a bit uncomfortable with some of the things I was asked Still got a key card and went to the room and everything was fine - Location is nearly on top of I-40 - At the 2 exits for Shawnee OK off of I-40 There were plenty of places to get something to eat, gas, etc

No Frills - But Clean & Fine for 1 Night

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Shawnee. Unfortunately, this place was an absolute dump. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Wish we had spent a few more dollars and stayed somewhere else. Stayed 2/8/22.

Look elsewhere

Low water pressure, had to change light bulb in bathroom, fridge don’t work, half a roll of toilet paper, and a tv that was new in the 90’s
All for 62 dollars a night Bed feels like a board
I took one light bulb out of a lamp Towels feel like sand paper
