Quiet and remote located this B&B has so much to offer, the quiet location, the pool, the 4 dogs, two cats, a mule and a donkey complete the picture. The owners Cathy and Michael are realy doing their best to make your stay to a memorable one. The room we had was huge and had a veranda for staying outside but in the shade. The breakfast was fresh and great. Our stay was one we will look back to with a smile for a long long time.

Awesome stay

Jeanne and I were fortunate enough to be able to book 2 nights on our last trip to Southern AZ. We both are tired of cookie cutter accomodations and truly enjoyed the back to nature atmosphere of Lazy Dog Ranch.  We stayed in the Casita and it is completely as advertised - we loved it. If you love nature and want to experience the sunrise with nature and the calling of the Wild Turkeys, this is the place for you.  We got our souls refreshed and look forward to our next trip the Lazy Doy!

Recharged by Lazy Dog

Had a great three-day getaway at the Ranch.  Loved everything from the comfortable and cozy accommodations to the adorable resident dogs. They were friendly to our older little girl who had a great time playing with them.  Our stay couldn't have been better thanks to our hosts Michael and Cathy.  They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of.  This is a must stay for anyone who enjoys some quite time in this little bit of paradise.

We can’t wait to come back! Such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. If you want to get away from it all, this is your destination! Clean, comfortable and fun! If you’re a dog lover, this is your place!

We were looking for a quiet getaway & couldn’t have found a better retreat!  After each day of exploring the area, we couldn’t wait to get back to the Lazy Dog Ranch.   We were entertained by all the animals & our lovely hostess, Cathy!  And to top it off, we visited on a gorgeous full moon!  Thanks, Lazy Dog, for a perfect vacation!

Great getaway

We spent a lovely weekend here with our elderly dog. He had a great time with the resident dogs and loved walking by the river. I haven’t seen him so happy in a long time! The Casa rental was clean and well stocked. The owners are knowledgeable and responsive. There were delicious home baked goodies every morning, and there were Irish coffees at night. Cathy and Michael are excellent hosts, and it is obvious that they genuinely love animals. Highly recommend this unique rental!

Great place to take your dog

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights at the Lazy Dog Ranch and wish we had stayed longer! The property location and fantastic hospitality of our hostess, Cathy made our visit very relaxing, comfortable, and memorable. We had the pleasure of enjoying a spectacular riparian corridor within a short walk; so many birds, so quiet and refreshing. We felt quite at home with the casual and artistic folk ambiance created by Cathy’s great flare. Our early morning breakfasts were amazing with all fresh fruits and home cooked treats. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the patio perfect for outside “cocktail hour” enjoyment. The beds and all room accommodations were perfect, and our casita was full of helpful and informative materials about the area and local habitat.  We loved sharing stories with our friendly and highly accommodating hostess. I truly hope I can come here again!

Relaxing and Welcoming!

We absolutely love Lazy Dog Ranch!! This was our first visit, and we were so happy to be there! My wife and I arrived for a short 3-day visit. We were greeted by our very warm, gracious and hard-working hostess, Cathy, who showed us around upon arrival. The casitas are gorgeous.  This place welcomes dogs of all sizes, and our pup loved it as much as we did.  She loved playing with the other dogs on the property.  She was also was introduced to the horses and donkeys that live on the ranch – that was a fun treat for her as well.

We couldn’t think of a better way to spend a weekend.  We will definitely be coming back!

We look forward to meeting Michael during our next visit – we heard so many great things.

The Perfect Weekend Getaway

This place really is a dog paradise. They welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes so they can hang out and run free. We took our shy dog Gracie for her first trip and we all had fun. The host Cathy made sure the resident dogs didn't overwhelming Gracie and was very patience with her. 
The B&B is cozy, funky, and very comfortable. You have direct access to the San Pedro river which is priceless. It's quiet, dark, but only 20 minutes away from stores and food places. Cathy is super friendly and gave many good hiking and restaurant recommendations. 

Doggie paradise

What a great vacation we just had at this oasis in the middle of the Arizona scrub desert (see additional more extensive review I wrote on their site) . Truly a wildlife and particularly birding paradise with all the amenities and a great pair of hosts. We can't wait to go back.
