I reserved a room for the night before a tournament I was playing in.  I drove over 3 hours to get there and arrived a little after 10pm.  I circled the building and honestly couldn't tell where the door to the front desk was.  After circling the building 1 1/2 times, I got out and tried one of the doors.  It was locked.  I drove around to the other side for a second time and got in because the door was propped open.  I walked right by the "front desk" which had the window pulled down so I didn't even realize that was the desk.  There were two guys standing in the hallway and they asked if I needed help.  I asked where the front desk was so I could check in.  They pointed at the "front desk" and said I needed to call 500 because the desk was closed for the evening.  I turned and saw the "front desk" but didn't see a phone.  He pointed at an old school phone hanging on the opposite wall.  I dialed 500 and got a busy signal.  I tried again, same result.  He said there was a second number to try, 501.  I dialed 501, another busy signal.  Then he pointed at the desk and said she had come down.  I went to her and said I had a reservation and gave her my name.  She typed on the computer for a few minutes, not saying anything to me, then picked up the phone and called someone. After she talked for a bit, she hung up and said her boss told her he tried to call me and my phone was out of service so they had sold my room to someone else and they had no other rooms available.  This was a bold-faced lie, as I had my phone on me the entire drive and I know that I had service.  I was using my GPS the entire way, and I was seeing messages come in. I asked her to dial my phone number and see if it would ring.  She punched in probably enough numbers to have dialed my phone 3-4 times, then handed me the phone and there was a busy signal.  I know she did not actually dial my number, so she had obviously been trained on how to pretend to dial someone's number if they asked.  I should have asked to let me use the phone to dial my number, but by that time I was so upset and they had no rooms anyway so there wasn't anything she was going to be able to do to make it right.  In retrospect, it was probably for the best, as the place looked very sketchy anyway.  There was party music blaring in the parking lot, and guys hanging out outside.  I don't know that I would have even felt safe there but it was still infuriating.  I ended up spending $200 to go back down the interstate a few miles to a Super 8.  Woodspring Suites will forever been branded in my brain to NEVER book a room in one of their hotels ever again!!!

They gave away my reserved room before I got there and bold faced lied to me about it!!!

I stayed for 1 month and this is by far the best woodspring suites I have ever been too. Matt the GM and his staff are the best and will go above and beyond to make your stay the most comfortable. I am so glad we landed there and no where else.

I have been at many woodspring suites, and this by far is the best. Matt the GM and his staff go above and beyond to make things comfortable. The place was clean and service is wonderful. I loved the vending machines and having an atm at this site

The best service

Dog Poop everywhere around the property. I had to wash my floor 3 times as soon as  I checked in. After I saw how dirty the floor was I literally had to wipe the entire room down. Unbelievable dirt!! It was nasty dirty. Common areas are very dirty. The elevator has not been cleaned since I arrived 7 days ago. The worst Landry facilities. Dryers don't work and tons of mildew BEHIND the washers. Housekeeping and Management needs some training. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!

The company did not change ownership. It changed its name and updated its exterior after a merger with another crappy motel. Inside looks like a Brooklyn apartment building...for the price granted its not a terrible deal but still pretty bad. The customer service is nonexistent. To check in you need to call the owners cell phone who took 20 min to get there and the security deposit is a whopping 200 bucks! Also i got charged for 2 nights when i only stayed one. They advertise housekeeping but that never happened either. The bathroom was falling apart. Surprised they had running water. Of course hot water is only something you get at a 3 star hotel right? Do yourself a favor and stay at the holiday inn for 2 bucks more. This place is on a good value for long term stays. But i couldn't imagine staying there for more than a week!!!

We spend 2 nights here.  The place has a good location.  Close to places to eat and thing's to see and do.
If you are looking for luxury and lot's of room service this is not the place for you but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and to me it is well worth the money if you are looking for just a good clean room with a hot shower and a good bed to sleep in.
The room's are suite's so you have all you need to eat in and keep your beer cold.

Not happy. No one at the desk at checking. Must call # to have someone provide customer service at 10 pm. Should be disclosed on website. This is not a full serve hotel by any means. Should be listed as a hostel. At the very most kind, an extended stay place.

The Building is somewhat new but the Hotel Management is in the tanker!!THIS IS NOT A HOTEL!! 90% LONGTERM RESIDENTS!! Becareful when checking in they have policies to scam you out of as much money as possible.They make you clean your own room and take out your own trash when done. If not you pay fees. No coffee,dishes,extra soap,toilet paper.. Everything is extra! Other hotel guest(mainly construction workers)are always outside all the doors smoking and drinking beer and being loud. Very akward for familes husband and wives with drunk men staring at you like they want to rape you.They have a new GM started in nov.(Matt Onenn) to try a change the branding of the hotel..Completely wrong person for the job.. He is doing nothing but maximizing profits thru nitpicking scams against the customers.The G.M.(Matt Onenn), only has customer service skills when taking your money, if you have any problems what so ever he gets very frustrated easy and blames the customers quoting policy even if the manager on duty tells you something else...no we're sorry..for the mix up.. they should have informed you differently..They will chase after you thru the hotel and threaten you in the elevator telling you if you don't like it you can leave and refuses to give the money back you already prepaid for. How outrageous!!The mod guy with the long hair.will tell you one thing and lie the next day to save his own skin when he screws up. I was a G.M. for a much larger hotel chain in my early 20's for many years. This place has the worst management team I have ever seen.OH yeah. They can come in your room when ever you want to inspect it ..EVEN IF YOUR SLEEPING! He inspected my room while I was in my boxers while my wife was trying to coverup in bed. AT 930am.. Even after I was told by the MOD I would not get a knock on my door when I said I work nights!The hotel is not near anything you have to drive miles to go anywhere,its also next to HWY.. very loud the parking lot is very small if you arrive late they don't have any spaces ..you have to park out on the street.  I travel for work and stay at hotels over 250 days a year.. I have seen a lot, this was by far my worst experience ever in any hotel or motel including the 3rd world countries I have visted. Once they have your money or creditcard you are nothing to them.. Bravo!

Never Again.. Spend the extra 20 dollars and go somewhere else.

I have traveled all over the world with the Army and recently came back to South Dakota where I am from. I have been in amazement by Value Place of Sioux Falls from the moment the 1st person that answered by call, which was RJ.  I was in a situation where I needed a place to stay for cheap and needed his help immediately, so I could have the time to find a permanent home in Sioux Falls.  RJ empathized with my situation, worked hard to find me a room, reassuring me he could help, exceptionally kind and courteous.  I worked in the hospitality myself for 10 years when I was younger and RJ is the kind of person that should be in management and teaching this current generation proper customer service skills.  Best of the Best as we say in the Military.  Also, all the staff here are exceptional - Matt, Manager, Lisa / Brittany, Housekeeping and Colleen, our everything.  Everyone goes out of their way to help, friendly, kind, hard working and they treat you like family.  SPECIAL NOTE: prior to my arrival, the staff checked my room to make sure it was what I wanted (AMAZING).  If I had my own hotel, they would all always have a job.  I would be proud to work along side them!  IMPRESSIVE!!!
