Stayed there twice while mom is hospitalized. Convenient location, but rooms are very tight and pretty old. Beds way too soft for me. Seemed clean for the most part. Even the shower in handicap room is very narrow. Some staff are less than friendly, but our needs were met.

Not terrible, but plenty room for improvement

I had cancer surgery and called the hotel in case we needed to stay. I was told they would not charge my card unless we checked in. The surgery was over 5 hours and more extensive than expected. We did not stay and they charged my card.
I called the manager and he was very rude. He did not care about my situation. He just wanted my money. I have a large surgery bill and the Center Inn took over $120 from us too.
They do not care!!! They are not part of Avera but are located on the Avera Campus.
Find a different hotel where the manager is actually customer friendly and has a heart.

Horrible Manager to work with

This place was questionably clean (stains on the mattress covers, and rusty tub parts), musty, and a bit noisy. The bed was not very comfortable. But, it met our need for a quick overnight in the area.

There were some yummy donuts at breakfast, which was very small and not much protein.

Inn need of an update!

So this is no vacation destination (but who would think it was given it's location?) but it is JUST FINE. It's clean, the family who runs it is lovely and full of helpful info, and you can't beat the location. Best of all? The beds and pillows are AMAZING. Fluffy and also solid in all the right places.  It's really the only hotel anywhere near the Avera campus. Staff is masking.

Perfectly serviceable and clean hotel on Avera campus

This hotel is within the Avera hospital complex, so the location is convenient if you are visiting the hospital, but the hotel is old, dingy, lots of maintenance needed.  I do not recommend it, despite the location.  COVID protocols were also weak.

You can do much better

This hotel is the perfect place to stay for when you or your family member has a medical procedure at the Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital. The hotel is attached to the Specialty Hospital by a hallway, so you do not have to go outside to travel between the two facilities.  Check-in was very easy, and the staff was welcoming.  We stayed in a King suite, which appeared newly remodeled, and we enjoyed the extra space.  It was comfortable and quiet. The room had a recliner, loveseat, flat screen TV, fridge and microwave.   It was a short drive to downtown Sioux Falls that evening for dinner, and in the morning this hotel offers a basic continental breakfast.  Staying here made it so much easier to get to our medical appointment. 

Perfect stay for Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital procedure

Stayed 2 nites.  Reserved Handicap room w/2 queen beds.  Arrived..that nite had been cancelled and given to someone else.  Arrived around 3 pm or so.  Asked if booked on line for that night, said yes, reply: that is why it was given to someone else.  Put in regular room but needed a recliner, moved to another room.  Next night got handicap room.  Recliner handle looked like a dog chewed on it & lower part shot out like a cannon. Would break your leg if you stood in front of it. Sewer gas smell in bathroom.  And to top it all off I have been doubled billed on my credit card.  Still waiting for phone call from manager, have called twice.  Take my advice..do not stay here!

Handicap rooms?  NOT

We’re in Sioux Falls for medical appointments and need to stay close to Avera. The nurse recommended Center Inn, because it’s right across the street. Most of their business is people like us. This is not a luxury hotel. It is not new or super updated. What it is, however, makes up for anything it lacks. It is super clean. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have a small microwave and fridge. The bed is comfortable. The shower is very nice, with great water pressure. There is a continental breakfast, with cereal, bagels, toast, and excellent donuts. 
I definitely recommend this place if you need to be close to Avera. 

Perfect for what it is

The room was clean, comfortable and very convenient to Avera McKennan hospital and clinics.I stayed there recently when I had an early morning procedure scheduled and will stay again if we ever need to be there early or late for medical appointments.

I would recommend

My wife has had some health issues. So wanting to be close to her as she is staying in the hospital I picked the Center Inn. The place is a dive. parking is cramped. It has not been updated in 20 years or more. The mattresses are just as old and soft. Plus it's not cheap. I could of stayed in a modern and nice motel only a couple miles away for the same price. Do not torture yourself. Do not waste your hard earned money. Find another place to stay!
