A great place to stay - very quiet; professional, friendly staff, very clean.  Nothing fancy - has the basics - great location when exploring the area.  Great value.  Have stayed here every spring for 30 years & many falls for 5 year with consistent service & satisfaction.

Wonderful gem in small town!

There were a number of us from around the country who were staying here for my son's wedding in Grantsburg. I had come to town in September to check out the area and reserved a block of rooms which were clean and  very comfortable.  My son and groomsmen stayed in a unit with two rooms and 4 queen beds.  My brother was in the jacuzzi suite that had 2 rooms and was very spacious.  The other rooms had 2 queen beds with a large dressing area and small toilet/shower room.  Only negative because of humidity the door to the toilet area would not close.  The manager was extremely friendly and accommodating.  They had some flowers and a basket of goodies in our room when we arrived knowing we were the grooms parents (and paying for 4 of the rooms).  The room prices were very reasonable.  With COVID we opted not to have our rooms serviced during our stay but they were great at giving us fresh supplies when requested.  Bottles of water are free from the office refrigerator as well as coffee.  Although no breakfast there is a market you can walk to with a bakery and nice produce, and for lunch or dinner a restaurant (fired up bistro) in the same complex next door.  I don't think  Grantsburg residents  think much of this motel.  It is basic looking from the outside however we found it to be very safe, comfortable and clean with very reasonable rates.  I was impressed they have replaced keys with an up to date touchless card system.  Do not hesitate to stay here unless you require a name brand chain with extra amenities.  For those go 40 minutes down the road to Siren which I had also checked out ahead if time . 



Very friendly and clean

Even though I have family in the area,  I had never stayed here before.   Very pleasant experience.  Spacious rooms. Fluffy towels. Cheap price. Housekeeping service is which something larger chain hotels are not offering.  I will think of this hotel the next time I am in Grantsburg.

We stayed overnight on a trip to Crex Meadows.  The room was comfortable and appeared to be freshly painted and updated.  It was quite clean - something we’re very conscious of during the pandemic.  A sign on the mirror said, “Under new management” and I would rate them as doing a very good job.   

Clean and fresh

DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. Worst customer service experience we have ever had. We called to inquire about our reservation and received hostility and threats from the woman at the front desk (Pam her name was) . She was immediately angry - and we were bewildered and thought it was even a joke. She continued to say we did not provide our home address for our reservation (as we booked under a third party site) and this seemed to send her into a rage. We did not see this relevant as we had already put our credit card down and we just sat in shock as she treated us so. She immediately cancelled our reservation and charged our card after we stated we did not want help anymore. Do whatever you can to avoid this place. It’s cheap but it’s not worth feeling unsafe and frankly there is not family friendly staff by any means. Please save yourself the trouble!!!!!
