First class acomidation and food
Highly recommended
If you call in advance the two owners will make food for you , anything you would like to eat and one and have diner with you if you like, on top of it they will give tour of the place that definitely looks and feels like a museum

jem in the middle of the nowhere

Charming & relaxing manor wih great breakfasts and delightful dinners.  Gary taok excellent care of us, the rooms are spotless and spacious, and there are countless lovely places to curl up wih a book for a quiet afternoon or an aperitif. Looking forward to returning!

Great place to spend a weekend or a week

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast in Marion, South Carolina. The staff is very welcoming! We were asked what we liked to drink prior to arriving at the bed and breakfast and we had drinks ready for us upon arrival! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. For breakfast we had a delicious frittata, grits, fresh fruit, raisin toast, and freshly brewed coffee. It was a joy to stay there! We will definitely be coming back!

A lovely place to stay!

Wonderful stay! Owner and staff were very friendly, helpful, and anxious to provide anything that we might have needed.  The building and furnishings are both beautiful and fascinating.   Every piece has a story that is well worth hearing.

Food was outstanding in every way; appearance, quantity quality, taste, and very imaginative.  We are anything but picky eaters but the staff was more than willing to meet any dietary needs or preferences we may have had.  We wish they had properties everywhere we travel so that we could have this experience more often.

Amazing antiques, spectacular meals, and wonderful service. The rooms are beautiful and the owner is very welcoming. There are so many beautiful pieces all throughout the manor. Gifted a stay to my mom and would definitely go again.

My daughter took me there as a gift. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entire house was just gorgeously decorated with antiques and it final artwork. The meals were out of this world! Gary is so hospitable and extremely talented. Don’t pass up an opportunity to visit. Well worth it.

Wonderful!!

My husband and I stayed here two weeks ago as it was halfway between our destination to Maryland from Florida.  It could not have been a more wonderful experience.  First and foremost, Gary and John are warm and engaging hosts, and Gary is a fabulous cook.  The home is a veritable art museum, and John happily led us on a amazing tour of their art and antique collections.  Our room was beautiful and comfortable.  I really hated to leave.  Cannot recommend highly enough!

WE LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!!

Going to Rosewood Manor is like visiting a lifelong friend who lives in a cool house. It's the only one of the nine bnbs I stayed in this trip where I was helped with my luggage. Like a good friend, I was shown around the glorious house and then was given crackers and cheese and a luscious cabernet which I enjoyed in the upstairs sunroom. After a luxurious nap I was fortunate to be there on a night when Gary cooked. Sitting with the absolutely delightful John as Gary made dinner was a treat. He is a designer and although Gary also loves antiques, John has curated rooms full of treasures from around the world and an impressive art collection with an eye for perfection.  It's as if every inch of the house was created for you as a guest to enjoy as an aristocrat for a day. Gary is a wonderful cook and the jambalaya he made was a treat. I think I was lucky to be there on a night he cooked. You may want to check ahead when you book to see if you can have dinner there, The bed was incredibly comfortable. I fell into some kind of relaxed coma and slept the best I have in years in the glorious bed. My room, the Theodosia was decorated beautifully and I was lucky enough to be early so I got to see all the bedrooms. The breakfast was of course delicious. French toast with local blueberry syrup and bacon. The house is exquisite, beyond any bnb I've ever been in but what made my time there memorable was spending time with John and Gary.  I made a reservation to come back to see the Christmas decorations before I even left.  Being a solo traveler I appreciated having such warm and interesting people to spend time with but I also know they intuit what you need and if you just want to hang by yourself they'd be fine with that too. The best of the best of the best.

This House is sine qua non--that is, an absolutely essential place to stay at least once in your life

We were looking for a place to spend the night en route to Savannah--but this place is a destination worthy of a detour. Rosewood Manor is a designer’s dream with an impressive art collection, extensive decorative arts, and old-world service and great hospitality thanks to the owners - internationally known interior designer John Cunningham and Dr. Gary McKeel. Dinner and breakfast were amongst the best we’ve had in years, and the rooms were appointed like guest rooms in an English manor house. Exceptional bed linens and amenities made the stay flawless. Original artwork by the Masters and furniture and lighting fixtures designed by the owner combine to make this an interesting and unexpected treat. We’ll come here again and stay longer.

a hidden gem -- a fascinating house and superb hosts

I have been blessed to have spent over 3 decades as a Professor of Hospitality Management, teaching and consulting to the industry around the world. It was a distinct pleasure for my wife and I to experience such world class service and attention to detail as we enjoyed on our visit to Rosewood Manor. Our hosts John and Dr. Gary contribute a unique and superb style that fills this manor with warmth while basking in world class service.  The entire Manor had been decorated for the Holidays with over five Christmas trees tastefully decorated to match the history of the Manor. John and Gary's artistic eye for detail and perfection was in evidence in every room and on every wall and floor. Our room was spaciously adorned with a beautiful four poster bed,  the finest linens, and crest emblazoned bathrobes. Dr.Gary was our Chef producing courses resulting in  meals worthy of  top culinary accolades. Their attention to detail combined with their passion for offering professional service and concern for guest satisfaction are what made this experience so memorable. We had to come to Marion to pick up a puppy from a breeder but will be coming back just to visit this wonderful boutique hotel. We look forward to returning in 2021 and wish all who stay at Rosewood the best of health and happiness, certainly a guarantee while hosted by John and Dr. Gary.
