We have always had good experiences with The Galley in the past. The only thing available this year was one of the "cabins" which turned out to be an old FEMA trailer which had seen better days. When we checked in we had to sign a form saying that we would not use the oven. There was no washer and dryer as stated in the ammenities. They state that they have WIFI but there isn't enough signal strength to get online. We did not intend to use the washer, dryer or oven but you shouldn't say they are available if they are not! I would suggest that you check in advance if it is something you count on as being available. I feel like the "cabins" are a stain on their reputation.

The room was fine except for the flies, no iron and no hairdryer. The building could use a good cleaning or remodel. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was minimal. Boomers Outback (next door) didn’t show up on TA, but it looks nicer. I’m not sure why this is the #1 hotel in town. Even if there are only 2-3 places to stay.

Stay somewhere else.

We were very pleased with the price and cleanliness of the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had coffee, cereal, muffins and toast for breakfast. I believe smaller than usual due to Covid.

Clean rooms and friendly staff.

We had my mom's birthday party in the banquet room and it was great! Since we had the room all to ourselves, we were able to visit with family and friends! They set up a 2-meat buffet for us and the food was great! Thank you!

Great food!

We always stay at the galley when we go fishing. It is all redone and the rooms look great. The bed was so comfortable, I slept so good. The staff is wonderful and it's nice to have the restaurant right there to walk to. I think our first stay was 7 years ago. We stay here all the time now. Love the fish cleaning station too. Makes cleaning fish so easy. 

Love this place

Rolled in late on Sunday night with no reservation. The Young man at the front desk was also the bar tender and waiter and super nice. Had great personality and knew how to have a conversation,  might sound weird in a review but we love meeting new people and learning about the areas we travel through,  made for nice atmosphere. Large clean room and the food was very good in the grill.  Breakfast was good variety and the morning staff was just as friendly definately recommended!

I want to give this hotel a good review. The room itself was nice. Very spacious and comfortable beds. I knew that the hotel housed a bar. However, I did not know they would be having a “parking lot party” event where they blasted music and rattled our windows with bass until 1am. We had been driving all day and were just hoping for a good night’s sleep. At some point, this location needs to choose what they want to be good at. They cannot be a good hotel and disturb the guests until the wee hours of the night. This may be a good location Sunday-Thursday nights, but I would never stay here on a Friday or Saturday. I attempted to call the front desk about the issue, but the phone in our room did not work. 

Boom boom boom late into the night

The hotel was adequate for the very reasonable price.  A major problem was that the advertised 'pet friendly' was not as expected, but more of a come-on. Even though we had kennels for our 2 pups, they were not permitted in the room with us, subject to a rather substantial penalty, $150. There were kennels in a nearby building that was not locked, but was heated and had ~4 kennels in a dark room. Most of the kennels did not have a way to lock them. The hotel required that I sign a document not holding them responsible for any loss (which I assume would be a started, pedigreed hunting dog?). The door to our room had the security of a bathroom door in your home.

Stopover with 2 pups on way to Sand Lake

Very clean! Comfortable! Friendly! Essential oils in the room! Breakfast in the morning! This motel is worth the cost! I would definitely stay again and I will! Flat screen TV up high so everyone can watch the TV. Easy parking. 

Best motel I have ever stayed in!

We were in Webster for 12U baseball tournament July 13-15. The staff was extremely courteous & tolerant of a hotel FULL of young boys. They made sure our down time between games was as enjoyable as watching our boys play on the beautiful ball fields. Thank you Webster, for your small town hospitality.
