I was hesitant to stay here as I have never been a fan of Rodeway Inn's but this was for my 16 year old's birthday so I just wanted a pool and close to where we went.
I am just going to say that this hotel was amazing!! Yes, it is an older motel but the staff more than made up for that. My son and his friends had a great time at the pool which was heated! 
Shout out to Lydia because that girl was amazing!! She was there when we checked in and there when we left!! She needs a raise!

EXCELLENT!!!!!

I was very reluctant after reading reviews, even though we have a friend that stays here when he passes through. Yes, it is older and in need of repairs/updating, but our room seems to be clean. Not going to nit pick about lack of conditioner or the such.  Glad we weren’t here last night cuz they had 2 birthday parties one of which was a very inconsiderate, loud group of boys. 
Tammy, who must be the manager, was wonderful helping us get our TV set up. They DO have coffee in the lobby and serve breakfast but not a good one watching their carb intake. Thank goodness I had eggs in the truck. Just checking in, I would stay here again. They have ample parking for a semi tractor and trailer. \0/

Passing through going back to IL

I was hesitant after reading reviews about the Rodeway Inn. We were pleasantly surprised with the price ( under $70!!!!) including a quick breakfast and a swimming pool! Yes, when checking in there was water dripping from the ceiling onto a towel at the counter 😂 but it was a reasonable place to spend a quick night and get right back on the road to Colorado the next morning. The bed was clean and comfy and there were minimal supplies like shampoo and soap, but nothing fancy. There was no coffee pot but there was  a fridge and microwave in the room! We didn’t use the shower because we were just there to sleep. In the morning the water in the sink never got hot 🤔. The room had a great air conditioner and we slept comfortably for a great price! No complaints from this traveler.  We got a room with one bed since it was just the two of us. I got reward points ( Choice Rewards) even. There’s nothing else around so don’t be so hard on this place! Be thankful it’s there right off the highway! 

Great Deal to Get Off the Highway and Sleep

This is 5th stay in this hotel in last 4 weeks. Previous 4 were no problem, this one was like a check in from hell. I had made a reservation about noon then spent 6 hours driving down to stay the night. Clerk refused to acknowledge possibility that I had a reservation already made and I had to call to get reservation confirmed while it was called in then I got called back all while standing at desk. Check in from that point was done in absolute silence.

The place is showing some wear overall, but the bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water and the breakfast actually had a nice variety.  Didn't see any bugs.  I did not get in, but the pool looked very clean.  Adequate for the price.

We arrived with reservations around 9:30 pm.  Out room was not ready or cleaned yet as were other guests rooms. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful but our room was not ready until around 10 pm.   Once in the room staff realized AC was not working correctly and brought us a fan.  Also microwave would not work.  We realized there was no wall outlet there.   We carried it to a nightstand to plug in.   Also the parking lot was dark and had numerous security lights out.

Nice staff but facility lacking

My husband and I called ahead for a reservation and were at the hotel within 10 minutes. The check in clerk was friendly and apologetic because apparently they were short staffed and she was experiencing computer problems checking us in. Eventually, she was able to get through, check us in, provide our keys. She was pleasant but obviously stressed and tired (her relief did not come in and she was already on a 13 hour shift and later I saw her cleaning rooms!). Our room was on the second floor, there are no elevators but a spiral staircase case to lug our suitcases up. The room was poorly lit, bed was fairly comfortable, small bathroom. There is no complimentary breakfast but coffee and fresh fruit was available. The snack vending machine wasn’t working, took my money but nothing was dispensed and no money returned. I went to the lobby clerk (a different lady than who checked us in) and returned my money stating she was sorry. I could go across the street because they sell snacks. No automatic front lobby door so it was difficult to get in and out with luggage and other traveling items. Front doors were dirty with tons of fingerprints. I heard another guest complain that they had to wait to get into their room because it hadn’t been cleaned when they arrived and that now their tv wasn’t working. The pool is in the middle of the hotel and pool noise was obvious. Management needs to update premises, serve breakfast as stated on their website and appreciate their hardworking staff.

Run Down Hotel

We saw bed bugs in our room. We had put our things into the room, then saw the bed bugs. Good reminder to check your room before putting things in the room. We proceeded to move things out and leave the hotel.

They will rip you off.   On April 26, 2018 I stayed here and left a cash deposit for my room as my debit card was being replaced.  When I checked out they told me that they did not have the $248 available to refund and that they would send me a check.  I stay at Motel 6 a lot and did not think anything of it.  Well here we are 5 1/2 months later and still no refund, I call and get the run around and now they tell me they are not really associated with Motel 6 anymore and that the Bank has taken them over.  So I am forced to pursue litigation for my $248  This is a matter of principle and not just about a refund.  Motel 6 and or Mr. Patel owes me my refund and I intend to collect.  Since they are denying being affiliated with Motel 6, I would not recommend this location anymore as they are either lying about the affiliation or deceiving customers about what brand they are operating under.  Or in all reality just trying as hard as they can to keep my money and hope that I forget about it.  That aint happening.

Beware they will rip you off

The hotel had lost our reservation made about six weeks prior. I had the printed confirmation but the hostess was unapologetic and very unhelpful. Fortunately, the reservation was made through Expedia whose staff were very helpful and were able to find (much better) accommodations for us which was difficult as all hotels were very full due to the state fair. The lobby and exterior of the hotel were very dark upon our night time arrival, I initially thought it was closed. In addition, the lobby did not seem to have a functional AC and the AC units in several rooms were broken according to conversations of other patrons overheard while waiting in the lobby trying to find out what had happened to our booking. I would like to thank the staff at Expedia for all the help they provided us which this hotel did not.
