Unfortunately this accommodation is far from what it claims to be...a RESORT. It's more like a trailer campground. The following are the list of items that future guests should know what we encounter on our stay at Cabin #15

1. It claim to offer full kitchen. There are 8 plates, bowls, mugs and glasses. Cutlery.   A set of pots and pans and utensils. That's it. 
No knife or cutting board or can opener, colander or serving dishes. Owner said they don't provide. 
(He did buy a new set of knives and can opener after we called)

2. The electricity went out for over 2 hours.  We have to cook in the dark using flashlight.  Thing is it's only our cabin, and not any others in the entire compound. 
( They did come and fix it, but we were told not to use the microwave for the night and only a few lights)

3. The heater was so loud that we can only turn on for a short time so we can sleep.  It is really ridiculous when we have read reviews from others of the same situation and nothing was done to make any changes

4. The futon sofa bed was broken.  So we have to put the futon on the floor.  We texted  the owner but he did not even answer.   I guess it was too much on one night.  At this point we thought that he would move us to a different cabin.

4. The bathroom over the sink light was missing 2 light bulb and it was not even working.  ( we decided not to even mentioned it to the owner)

5. The insinkerator was not working

6. The loft ceiling is really really low about 4 feet high so we have to kneel. Wish this was stated in their ad.
Because some of us had bad knees problem. 

7. Last but not least we were charge $48.00 more from booking.com 

From the list above we hope that they will make some kind of adjustments with the price.  It's truly a big disappointment.

Not a Resort

We enjoyed our relaxing stay in cozy cabin #5. It’s a cabin so don’t expect luxury accommodations. Full kitchen—including all the cooking supplies(bring your own food, of course). Small gas stove/fireplace. The futon and chair covers need to be  cleaned or placed. Some of blinds need to replaced (some slats are broken or missing)for more privacy. We did have to buy wood-chips for our walkway to keep from slipping on the ice, but that was fine. There are multiple cabins in same area so it was a challenge finding ours (and cabin numbers are not visible) . Plan to return in spring/summer.

Weekend trip to Tahoe

Traveling through Tahoe with the family we were lucky to find this hidden gem nestled in the woods! Great internet connectivity so we could work remotely, my daughter could have a Zoom violin lesson and our kids could bike to the lake!

Great WiFi and Hospitality!

Beautiful place, reasonably clean, could use a few repairs (kitchen sink almost unusable). Only complaint: nowhere are a $100 cleaning fee and $50 pet fee disclosed! Confirmation email from hotwire mentioned cleaning fee but reservation was already nonrefundable. Property owner absolutely unwilling to compromise, saying we should dispute with hotwire. Hotwire disconnected four times, so I'll just dispute it with cc company.

Beware of hidden fees!

Cedar Pines Resort was exactly what we were looking for in our get-away: A cabin with amenities that was pet-friendly in a forest setting, but not too far from civilization. I don't know how many hours I spent searching for a place that would allow us to bring our cats. One of them has an incurable blood cancer, and since we don't know how long we'll have him, we wanted to bring our pets. Many places that claim to be "pet-friendly" really mean "dog-friendly" and not "cat-friendly," so I was getting pretty frustrated. A couple of owners who actually turned us down suggested Cedar Pines Resort, so I gave them a try. Our cabin was cool. We liked the open floor plan and everything we would need was there, except food, of course. It felt like we were in the middle of nature, but we were also close to restaurants and shopping, which made it a very convenient place to stay. Since there isn't an office to check-in, you communicate with the manager via texting, and that works just fine.

Cabin in Woodsy Area Near Civilization

This place is what it should be - a small "cabin/cottage" (re-faced trailer, really - and that's OK) with a woodsy feel. For a few days it was fine, but it could get claustrophobic over a longer period of time, as it really is small and everything is fit in very compactly. Our kids loved the loft, but be aware that it's only about 4 feet high, which would not have gone over well with me if I'd been the one to sleep there. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay; we got what we expected.

Cozy place with Tahoe feel

The cabin was super cute, it was great to stay in but all of the beds were so uncomfortable! The floor was more comfortable to sleep on. If the beds were better they would have got a perfect 10/10 from me.

The cabin

This is a great deal on a vacation home. The cabins are warm and cozy. The area is quiet and good for families. The cabins have a double loft sleeping 4 a back bedroom sleeping 2 and a nice kitchen with a potbelly stove keeping the place really warm. Its a nice location if your skiing Sierra since that resort is southwest. We did a night out on the town which is like a 5 minute uber. Its a good setup for a family trip.
