If the rooms had been at a lower price point, I would likely rate this higher.  But, given the price of the rooms, we expected a little more out of our stay.  Check in hours are only between 3 - 5 pm and we could not arrive until 7 pm.  Although, we were given self check-in instructions, there was no one there to greet us when we arrived.  We were never given WiFi info or general information about the house.
There were a few issues with the room.  First, the blinds were broken (although the next day they offered to put up blackout stickers but the room was dimly lit as is, without an overhead light), the shower pressure was awful and water leaked everywhere outside of the bathtub, there was a Kleenex box with three tissues in it which was never replaced and there was what appeared to be toothpaste splatters above the sink.  We did not receive any housekeeping during our stay (other than fresh towels) yet there was an envelope out requesting tips for housekeeping.
The breakfast the first day was very nice.  We were given coffee, berries, a pastry, and two choices for a main course.  The next day we were served the exact same thing, except one of the main course choices had changed (but, even that main course came with the same side).  Given that breakfast is part of the experience at a B&B, we expected a little more variation.  Every other B&B I have stayed in has offered different choices each day.
Again, for the price point (almost $500 a night for the smallest room (which includes taxes)), we think this Inn should take steps to set itself apart.  There are other B&Bs in the area with the same ratings for half the price and it doesn't feel like we had a more special experience by paying more to stay here.

Not Worth the Price

This review is a bit overdue but we were just talking about our stay here recently and it reminded me I never left a review! We stayed at the Inn in mid-April for a random weekend getaway from D.C. We are normally off-season guests at Inn at Perry Cabin but their off-season prices seem to have gone WAY up but we were glad because we LOVED our stay at Victoriana. We have been to St. Michael's so many times and never knew it was there! It's tucked down a side street but right on the water and actually much closer to the center of town. Our hosts were delightful and Heidi was amazing with catering to my boyfriend's gluten allergy with an awesome breakfast each morning. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Victoriana on our next St. Michael's trip!

Hidden Eastern Shore Gem

Our stay at the Victoriana was nothing short of a dream come true. We decided to do a very small elopement with a few close family members and booked the Willow Manse suite. From the start, the owner Heidi was incredibly helpful with advice about local vendors and restaurants, as well as possible venues. Since my husband and I aren’t from the area, her advice was invaluable. Throughout our stay, Heidi was like a fairy godmother, helping us at every turn. Our wedding weekend just wouldn’t have been the same without her. 

The Inn itself is gorgeous. A lovingly restored Victorian, every detail of the house and grounds conveyed a peaceful elegance. From the serene waterfront views, to the magnificent magnolia tree outside our room, to ducklings wandering the lawn… every detail was perfect. Breakfast at the Inn was delightful. Heidi specializes in divine pastries made from healthy flours and sweeteners, and we couldn’t believe how good they were! 

I can’t recommend the Victoriana strongly enough! We look forward to spending anniversaries and other special occasions there. 


Dream wedding weekend

Amazing! My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and had a wonderful time.  The owners are the two nicest people you will ever meet. Breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable and the view is gorgeous. Do yourself a favor and go!

We had a wonderful February getaway to St. Michaels & the Victoriana Inn. Everything was lovely; the bed was amazingly comfortable, breakfast was sooo tasty, and there were more than enough home comforts. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Highly recommend!

I don’t usually write negative reviews about our stays even if some things are not quite perfect but I feel the need to share our experience at the Victoriana Inn. We scheduled a long weekend in St Michaels to celebrate our anniversary and chose the Victoriana Inn mostly due to the good reviews on TripAdvisor. We always check TripAdvisor’s reviews of a hotel/B&B before booking our stays and find it to be reliable. We drove to St Michaels from Connecticut and arrived at the inn a little before 1:00PM. We knew that we were early for 3:00 PM check-in but we asked the employee who was at the front door if the room was available for early check-in (we’ve been to B&B’s many times and know that sometimes this works/sometimes it doesn’t, but it doesn’t hurt to ask). She told us that the owner was not available and we needed to come back at 3:00. This was not a big deal so we asked where to park our car and if we could use the restroom. She showed us where to park and, somewhat reluctantly, let us in to use the restroom. At this point, the owner arrived and basically told us to leave and said that we were basically not allowed to use the restroom and there were rules that needed to be followed. She said that there was a wedding party arriving and they were “very busy”. I asked her if I could use the restroom again - yes or no - and she did relent but I never felt so unwelcome at any lodging establishment ever. We eventually returned at check-in time and her husband was waiting for us outside. He mentioned our earlier issue and said that it would likely be in our mutual interests to cancel the reservation and offer us a refund. He even had called another hotel and told us that they had rooms. We gladly accepted but there was no apology or any attempt at civility. (We believe that he had already booked the room to another member of the wedding party). Bottom line is that we found another inn (not their recommendation) where the people were nice, the grounds were superior and the rates were better. However, spending the afternoon of our weekend away searching for appropriate replacement lodging was not how we wanted to spend our time. The owners were the most unfriendly innkeepers we have ever met-really sorry that we asked to use the restroom after several hours in the car. I would never recommend the Victoriana Inn to anyone; the innkeepers aren’t worth your time or money.
Lastly, we talked with several business owners in both St. Michaels and Easton during the weekend and they all were shocked and saddened when we told them this story.  They all said that people were very nice in the area – we agree, everyone else WAS very nice.  We also discovered that the inn had changed hands in April 2022 so much of the positive feedback was directed at the prior owner.  (We also learned that the inn has a common restroom despite being told that it didn’t)


Extremely unfriendly owners

Ted and Heidi are amazing hosts! They are so friendly and knowledgeable about the things to do in Saint Michaels. The rooms and surrounding grounds are beautiful! The full breakfast each day was a highlight. Apple Pancakes and Bacon kept us full all day!

Victoriana B&B is a must stay!

Positive reviews led us to Aida's Victoriana Inn in the first place, so I should keep the ball rolling: We had a great weekend there for an anniversary trip. Ted and Heidi met us on the large porch. They were very welcoming and did all they could to make us comfortable. The breakfasts (included) were scrumptious, too. And the Inn's picturesque location near the Honeymoon Bridge and waterfront was excellent, St. Michaels is quite walkable -- the restaurants, shops, museums, bars. We didn't move our car an inch the whole weekend. A beautiful town. A semi-hidden, mini-Annapolis.

Anniversary trip

My husband and I stayed 2 nights.  The room was beautiful with a fantastic view on our private patio. 
The breakfast was amazing.  It was a relaxing stay, just what we needed!  Thank you Heidi and Ted for your hospitality.   We'll definitely be back.

Wonderful!

We stayed at the Victoriana Inn for 2 nights and had the best time. Heidi and Ted were very warm and friendly and made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch with a bottle of wine and some cheese in the late afternoon. Can't wait to go back
