Cant beat the location, right across from Upham beach and walking distance to everything you need. Our unit was filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc but I understand that each unit is different. Some units are updated, some are not. Ours was nicely renovated and the studio provided ample space. Balcony is too small to truly enjoy with 2 people and the pool is unexciting with little shade. We would stay here again simply due to the price and amazing location.

A comfortable condo

We visit St Pete's Beach at least twice a year.Usually we stay at beach hotels along the strip. Last May, I organized a girls trip, so we needed one bedroom accommodations for a great price. Gulfwinds delivered. Great beach with food/drink availability, restaurants in walking distance, clean condo with beach chairs and very nice people at the complex. This time I reserved a two bedroom. The first floor condo was clean and very confortable. We had to purchase beach chairs (which we left) since every condo has different things left for the renter.Although the beach was being dredged, we moved over a bit to the next available access.We had the same feeling about Gulfwinds this trip. It will be our new go to when we visit St Petes!

Gulfwinds Delivered

This is the 3rd time our group of 4 friends have stayed at Gulf Winds. 

Pros: Close to the beach•close to restaurants and bars•comfortable king beds•easy Uber pick ups•

Cons: the floors have been filthy upon arrival in all 3 units•the pool is like bath water (yeah, I realize it’s Florida) but it’s not refreshing•

Pretty in Pink

Pool is small and unwell kept. The condo my family stayed in (600) was extremely dirty. I had to go to Publix and purchase my own cleaning supplies to scrub the mold off the shower head and walls!!! Considering you PAY A CLEANING FEE it’s ridiculous to show up to this condition. Do not recommend, the price is not worth the filth. Floors were so dirty cannot walk or shower without shoes on

Do not stay!!

We stayed in unit #1006 Check in was very easy. No problem finding parking. The unit has 2 bedroom and 1 bath. Bedrooms are nice sizes. Bathroom was a bit small but functional. Plenty of towels for a long weekend stay for 2 of us. Very Clean! The hallway were just as clean and we seen them cleaning them 2 times when we were there. This is a 3rd. Floor unit so be suer to be ready to hike up with suitcases. I suggest you pack light. There is a view of the water from the window in living room as well as in one of the bedrooms. Though it had no washer and dryer there is a laundry on site  we just chose not to use it.
 On to the pool area.  It was perfect size and very clean. It is across from the beach if you need a bigger hole! The tiki hut across the street was AMAZING! I suggest you go eat breakfast there EVERY DAY and grab yourself a Bloody Mary as well. The grouper bites are super yummy too! When your day is done head on over to Jimmy B's for some live music and played back atmosphere. 
  This truly was a gem and I will return.

Moms Long weekend

The place was really as shown in the pictures. The location is great. being so close to the beach is a real plus. One should not expect too much though of the rental itself. It is super clean but small and with no dishwasher. We really appreciated the beach chairs which was a nice attention. Our main disappointment and we consider it a big one, the quality of the internet is terrible. Lets say that we did not have wifi at all for the 6 days we spent there. It was really a let down for us as we intended to work remotely while there part of the day. So this needs to be corrected as don't advertise free wifi if you are not able to provide it !!!!

A bit old but charming

It's located is great. The pool is small but very clean. You can Walk to lots of restaurants and the beach. Everything else will depend on the unit. Mine had an ac that didn't work well in the master bedroom so it was always hot. Mine also said sleeps 6 but the pull out couch was awful and super small. Also it had almost all of the lightbulbs out so some rooms were fairly dark. I was in 1900. All of these were minor ( the pull out could have been bad but we didn't need it) but everything else was minor and worth it for the location. All in all idtstay again.

First, I stayed in 202. This review is for 202.

Don't believe them when they say everything is sanitized due to COVID19. Heck, this place hasn't been dusted since 2018. So bad, I could CLEARLY write "Dust Me" in the dust that had collected on the TV base/stand. So let start with the CONS:
- Checked in and the dining area light was out. Property manager called the owner whose first question was "Do they really need it". Kicked us out for several hours the next day to repair only to later give up and bring a floor lamp.
- All the furnishings were ANCIENT, broken, dirty, ill repair. Sofa and chair had plywood under the cushion to keep you from falling through. Recliner go stuck in the recline position. I could go one, but why??? Holy crap, there was more stuff that was worn out broken than wasn't. 
- ALL the shades were from 1990 and missing slats and many of them were broken and would fall out.
- Carpet was so nasty looking that I refused to walk barefoot or in sock feet.
- Place was just dirty! Child's greasy hand prints all over the sliding glass door. Smeared boogers on bathroom wall. Dried food on dining table chairs, Greasy dished and dried food on silverware. 
- Wallpaper was peeling off on practically every seam and there were holes and indentations in the walls in several places.
PROs:  
- Great location! Close to beach! Lots of clean towels (although found dirty one hanging behind door in bedroom)
- Beach lawn chairs provided.
- Property manager was very nice and helpful. Not her fault the owner refused to upgrade the place and fix all the broken stuff.

CLOSING: Do NOT rent 202. This place is NASTY and I've lived in places in 3rd world countries was wasn't has broken down as this place.

NASTY! OLD!

We spent 5 days here while visiting the area.  I hadn't stayed in the area before so I was purely going on internet and expedia reviews.  

We had to change rooms and got an upgrade which was nice.  The condo was a 1 BR on the second floor.  The stairs and hallway were a little old and the carpet needed upgrading.   

The unit featured a living/dining room and kitchen with a couch and recliner and kitchen table with chairs.   There were windows overlooking the road.  Maybe some other units overlook the beach.  

The air conditioning worked well except it tended to blow down on the recliner where I liked to sit.   A ceiling fan would have been really nice.

The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes/utensils we needed to cook basic meals.  There was a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster along with all major appliances except a dishwasher.

The bedroom was somewhat small, but sufficient for our stay.  The bed was comfortable.  extra sheets were on the shelf.  There was a TV in the bedroom as well.  Sleep quality was good.

There were a few cabinets, drawers, and shelves for our items.   

There were some beach towels for our use.  

The bathroom was small, but again was sufficient for our needs.  The shower appeared to have been updated. 

Really the only complaint was that the toilet was very slow to flush and quick to jam.  not sure if a plumbing issue or the toilet itself.  

We were given a parking pass to park on the street nearby.  we always found a spot near the condo.  

The TV was large and had a good selection of channels.  

There were enough outlets to charge our phones and such.

Management was easy to deal with.  We ended up having to add a day and that was easy to do.  

The beach is a short walk away.  Easy to get a morning walk.  The beach itself was quite nice.   one could walk for a couple miles.  The sand was much smoother than Sanibel with all the shells.  

There were a bunch of restaurants and bars within walking distance from the condo.  There were nighttime events a block or so down the road, but the noise wasn't bad.  

The price was reasonable for the condo.

Overall it was just fine for our stay.

We weren’t sure what to expect but were very pleased with both the location of the resort and the amenities. There are 3 separate blocks of condos so the proximity to the various amenities is dependent upon which block you are staying in eg some close to pool others close to laundry room.
There is a small swimming pool for use by guests 10am - 10pm, a coin operated laundry with multiple washers and dryers, a staffed reception desk - (Teresa is really friendly and very informative) and even a shuffleboard court.
Upham beach is just across the road ! There is also a beach cafe across the road and a wide choice of bars and eateries nearby all within easy walking distance.
Parking gets really busy, really early for beach goers . For condo residents, parking permits are provided for the duration of your stay - although the number of passes may vary per condo. Beware of parking attendants who are very keen to hand out tickets for just about anything.
Great place to stay !
